I request to all senior members that the threads which they have started in old section please they should report to forum moderator Mike Channon for moving those threads into new for with appropriate section.
I had yesterday requested to him about moving all themes into new theme section & just now he really moved all themes. He is asking me for more links which we want to move.

Ya...I just saw that. He told me rhat if we have any problem the we should report him. You can report him regarding wrong threads moved in android developement section. Can u make a list of all wrong threads with their links which he has moved in android developement section??? I will tell to moderator about that.

Ya but I think major part we have done. If u have any more links then catogarise the list & pm that list to moderator. If I again send him list then he will really kill me for giving so much work by me again & again from yesterday...ha ha ha...

I'm an experienced user, i've been using roms on my old 32A Magic phone for a while never had to ask stuff really, but now I have a problem with the new CM7.2 ROM and I really wanted to ask something in the proper thread but since I didn't have the previleges I have to open a thread and post stuff to reach to minimum number of posts. First off, starting threads to complain about the 10 post rule is just silly. The mods will most likely delete it and you'll be back to 0.
Secondly, if you have a question then just search the Q&A forum for your device, and if it's not already asked then start a thread there.
Personally, I hate people asking questions about ROMs and the like outside of the original dev thread. I think the 10 post rule should only apply to creating threads in the dev forums, not posting.
But I digest.
As I said - the Q&A forum is apparently the correct place for this.

I agree..it's pain in the arse..i understand the reasoning but when you've worked in IT or have some semblance of knowledge it's very frustrating and makes no sense when it's a comment about a thread it should be within the thread...i shouldn't have to jump thru hoops first to show that i can post...it surely can't be worse than some of the other crap i've seen people posting..esp when it's already been answered earlier in the thread...that's just lasy...or dare i say it..stupid

If you read the rules of XDA you would find out what constitutes a 'Senior Member' - and it is not simply joining up then not actively contributing to the forum.

1. It will no longer be possible to apply to become a Moderator directly and the Application process will remain closed (except in rare circumstances where we have an urgent need to recruit a group of new Moderators.)
2. Future Moderators will be recruited via recommendations from existing Forum and Senior level Moderators.
3. Those holding the Recognized Contributor title will be the main source of future Moderators.
4. Holding the Recognized Contributor title will be an initial indication that a person can be considered as a Moderator, but there is no automatic progression to Moderator and only a few will be given promotion throughout the year.
