[Completed] [Q] Am I even rooted? - XDA Assist

Hi. I have a Lenovo A7600-F tablet, and I've been trying to root it. I've heard that iRoot is the best way to root this device, so that's what I did. I went ahead and installed the APK, ran it, and clicked root. It said that it has rooted successfully, so I rebooted, and when I enter iRoot again it says I'm not rooted. However, the Superuser app is still there, and cannot be uninstalled. I click root a second time, and the Superuser app disappears. I reboot, and the Superuser app is back again and iRoot still says I'm not rooted. I installed some root apps and this is the output:
iRoot - Not rooted
Superuser - Not rooted
Root Checker Basic - Not rooted
Some other root checker - Rooted
Root Browser - Apparently rooted
Terminal Emulator - Running the command 'su' puts the number 255 before the typing space
Got Root? -
SU Exists: True
Version: 16 com.mgyun.shua.su
Root Obtained: False
I'm confused. Am I rooted? If I'm not, how do I remove the Superuser app?
By the way, when I look in my device's system files, I can see /system/app/irootsu.apk and /system/bin/su.
halp.

Any help in resolving this?.
Checking privileges?
Have you checked using the SU app if you have the root privileges? My SU app also asked me if it should turn of KNOX - before KNOX canceled some actions of apps having root privileges granted by SU. I used rootchecker to check if rooting worked. When I am starting an app that needs root privileges SU pops up and asked if it should give this app root privileges. So first you need to check if your device has been successfully rooted.

I think you haven't installed USB DRIVERS properly
Here is solution:
Download update.zip from attachment then add it to INTERNAL MEMORY. Then turn of your device boot it to recovery (see picture, you must press both volume up and power key at the same time until you see your TAB 10.1 logo) then in recovery chose apply update.zip wait for it to finish then choose reboot now. It should do the trick
Don't forget to hit thanks.

[Completed] Failure to update SU binary

I'm on a Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P3110 and after I rooted my tab and after it rebooted there was a notification saying SU binary needs to be updated so I did just that and it would ask me if I would like to normally install it or TWRP/CWM. I tried clicking normal but it would say installation failed then I tried the other option but I dont know the steps to follow. So please help me how to update because I have an app that requires rooting but whenever I open that app it would say that it cannot access the root and that I need to check SU if I denied the permission but I cant see anything about allowing or denying the app. Please help

[Completed] Cant install v4a, possibly due to partial/incomplete root on vf685 smart kicka

Hi guys. I have a weird problem... I have a vf685 with android 4.4.2
Im trying to install viper audio(v4a) from this site but it fails and says its due to a problem with busy box or my device is not "completely rooted". I am rooted and used several root checker apps to confirm. I have twrp installed as well, xposed modules, root explorers, etc. Everything works fine... Except v4a and also when I open mtk droid tools the square is orange/yellow and it should be green, i have to first click to get root permission. I used king root(not kingo root) to root it, its the only one that seems to work on this phone, I didn't like the superuser app from kingroot so I searched google and found a zip file to replace kinguser with SuperSU and installed with terminal emulator. Is my device only partially rooted (if that's possible) or if not what else could it be?
P.S. its not a problem with busybox, although busybox is installed to /system/bin. Not to /system/xbin
Please help!

[Completed] su missing (no root access)

Hello. Good day.
Am having an infinix hot X507andriod phone. I once had full root access. But due to frequent switching off by itself and eventually stuck at boot, I had to return it to its manufacturer which robbed me of my root access.
Then, I used kingroot on Android which installed the kinguser. But the kinguser doesn't allow root access ( also checked it's settings).
Afterwards, I've been trying diff ways to root my phn to no avail. I used all the supported one-click rooting apps, also eroot, iroot, king root on PC. It was when connected to mtkdroid tool that I discovered that it was a su missing error. ( mtkdroid tool gives a yellow colour, so I think my phn is somehow rooted). Then, I ran through my phn with es file explorer and saw su at 2 diff locations; bin and xbin, both with 0.00kb size and non deletable. Now, I shifted my attention to unrooting my device by deleting the kinguser but to no avail. And also mtkdroid tool also giving just root option( which gives su missing error when clicked).
The kinguser has even turned to a system app and non deletable. I even tried 'replacing kinguser with superuser' method but no success. (Still su missing error). Note: I don't have any recovery image, so I couldn't flash SuperSU, or anything.

[Help] Make Custom Recovery For Karbonn Titanium S201 [Stock Boot & Recovery with me]
Hi Guys....
Can anyone help me???
I have rooted my phone somehow using both IRoot[pc] and Kingroot apk.
But the thing is i don't like kingroot for granting su access so i found one script to replace Kingroot with
SuperSu on top... And i succeeded.
But i found one problem after reboot..
SuperSu Promt was missing when i open up root apps like Root Explorer...and it stuck there for infinite time
and i have to force close it..
But in the Supersu App, i chose an option Default access > Promt to Grant and it worked but without Notification.. and that i what i do not want.. as it will be vulnerable to my device...
So guys , Please help me so that I cant Flash SuperSu zip For Clean Root.. As other methods dont work for rooting, only the above method...
I hope you all Understand...
