[Q] Alcatel Evovle One Touch 2 4037t Help - General Questions and Answers

So I got the phone some days ago and rooted it with no problem using Kingo Root. However, I installed an app that messed my device. The phone does not boot up now In order to solve this problem, I think that all I have to do is put the device into adb sideload mode (which I know how to do) and install the stock rom. HOWEVER, I can't find the rom anywhere, so here is where my question comes in. Do you know where I can get the stock rom or is there another way of solving this problem?

[Q] stuck on reboot, not able to go into recovery

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I have yet to find a solution.
I recently rooted my Infuse with SuperOneClick. I flashed the Serendipity 7 ROM. I decided I wanted to unroot my device because my phone began to not be able to receive calls. SuperOneClick does not support 2.3 software, so I tried to flash a Froyo rom so I could use the program. My phone is now stuck in reboot. I can't even get it into recovery mode, no matter how many times I try. I have no idea what to do, I need my phone to work. Does anyone know any way to fix this? Thank you in advance.

[Q] Question about root-injected ROMs

Little backstory: A friend of mine had just recently bought a Razr Maxx HD on craigslist. The individual who sold him the phone had the phone rooted. My friend didn't want the phone rooted, and specifically asked the individual to unroot it. We used the application root checker to check if the phone was still rooted and it said the phone wasn't. My friend restored the phone to factory settings and it still had the superuser application installed. Now, I personally have rooted phones before and if I have all my information correct the process to root a phone requires you to over-write the factory/stock ROM and replacing it with a root-injected ROM. My friend wishes to have his phone completely stock. The kernel seems to be the right factory/stock one, but he and I are still concerned that it is still rooted. Although there's really no harm to rooting, he wishes to get the complete stock ROM on his device. Now, the question lol. Is there any danger to keeping the root-injected ROM on his device? Could we use ODIN to put the official stock ROM back on the device? Should he not even worry that his current ROM is root-injected?

Huh. Root is just access to system level commands, and usually some exploit within the stock rom is used to install and run SU/superuser. If it has wireless provider branding (boot screen says Verizon, for example) it's a stock rom... and you're fine, just delete the SU app if it bothers you.

Hey, Guys - Thanks for the help..
I reboot the phone and it says droid but nothing about verizon. I am not sure if the Razr Maxx HD normally says verizon but my girlfriend has the phone and i will try it on hers to see if the rom is stock.
The problem is i am worried there are other things in this rom that are not the norm. It will not let you uninstall superuser at all. If you google superuser and you read about the app it does say in the App info that if the Rom you install has superuser in System/Apps then it cant be removed which is whats scaring me.
I really want the phone back to 100% factory stock as i bought this second hand and I cant take chances with anything weird in the OS.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Craig

The surest, easiest way to make sure it is stock is to reflash the phone using the Droid Razr HD Utility Tool, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1970267. It will put the factory firmware back on the phone. Afterwards, there will be 2 OTA updates to install. The first one is an incremental bug fix update. The second is the JB update.
EDIT: The normal boot screen is the Motorola logo followed by the Droid animation.

[Q] HTC one s Hard Bricked

I'm kind of new to the whole rooting thing. However, I managed to root the Unlock the bootloader, install the recovery and then root it. However when I tried to install a ROM the phone when off after I had wiped the old OS. So at the moment I am stuck in limbo, all the phone does is flash, any ideas? Thanks.

You might want to post in the emergency thread for this.
Someone will chime in I am sure. From what little I know, I would try using the RUU (ROM update utility) to restore the phone.
Before you do that, wait a little while and maybe someone else will post with some other method. The RUU will hopefully restore your phone to stock.
I'm trying to do that now buy it just wont boot up so I can't run the program

Also tried fastboot oem unlock doesn't work and even riskier tried flashing cwm from pixi 3 (4.5) can't do that either .
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated
So any ideas. Anyone
Someone must have this phone now maybe for Christmas and looking to root.
Think I may have searched the entire internet
Please help
Alrighty man, first make sure that it has a unlocked bootloader. If it does, then try to use a root app (.exe recommended, but .apks may work) with USB debugging enabled (go to dev setting and enable it). If it isn't, then install your phone's drivers and look for solutions to unlock the bootloader.
Thanks for replying. I think bootloader is locked and I cannot find a way to unlock it. I have never had a android I couldn't root (till now)

've been searching for a solution for 2 weeks and i found one one click root app which rooted my phone: KingRoot v4.8.0.0
I've been using it for while and yesterday i've decided to give to it one las chance and surprise! After 3 attempts KingRoot found a voulnerability and rooted my phone!
Now i'm searching one custom recovery but twrp or cwm doesn't have any support for this device and i don't wanna risk my phone into a bootloader. If someone finds thos info usefull i'm glad to hear that. But if someone can help me with xposed i will be happier.
Thanks lajaja123!!!
Worked after 4-5 attempts with Kingroot v4.8.0 build 20160203.
Everything Ok!

hipstreet 7DTB25 custom rom

Hi everyone ,
I have a hipstreet 7DTB25 i manage to root it using kingo root (1 clic tool) and to remove the kingo super user to replace it by SuperSU. But now im facing a problem i want to install a custom rom but even after searching google ,xda and cyanogen website im still mystified. I got a couple question :
1) Is there a compatible rom with my device ? If yes, how can you tell?
i've looked to CM 11.0 M7 it is build on android 4.4.2 which my device runs on now (btw i dont trust it to be a clean install since there was a lolipop sticker covered by a kit kat one on the box ) ive search about it but it dont say nothing on my device, i try to look at cyanogenmod site but i've found nothing. And since i have really slow download speed and dont want to break my hardware for nothing i want to get informed before doing anything
2)Did using cwr (clockwork recovery) is correct to flash something on my device (if i could find anything to flash)
i've install it once was running great and making reboot in recovery so i suppose the answer to be yes but i dont really know ,the only weird thing i noticed was that i cannot back up anything
3)How can you tell if a website that offer custom rom are reliable? (Except xda, i know that one  )
4)If im not able at all to flash a custom rom is there a possibility of changing a stock rom to another?
Thanks
Hi, I bricked mine.. are you able to tell me where to get the ROM and twrp? Thanks.
