Not getting 3G, only EDGE

Hi,
I have Galaxy note 10.1 n8000 3G/WIFI version. Recently I purchased T-mobile prepaid plan with 3G data. But I don't get 3G but Edge signal only. I tried in two different cities (Boulder and Fort Collins) but it seems like I can't get 3G in either cities. What can be the problem?? Thanks.

You might want to post a question in T-Mobile's support forum. As of September, they were still in the process of refarming to allow access to 3G HSPA+ and could only guarantee access to 2G. https://support.t-mobile.com/thread/32968?noredirect=true perhaps your area's upgrade hasn't been completed yet.

First I would check the settings under "wireless and networks", "advanced", "mobile networks", and make sure that the automatic mode is switched on, so not set to only GSM.
Could be the problem.

[Q] What Bx (LTE) is 4G in Serbia? Problems connecting to 4G!

I am having problems connecting to 4G network in Serbia with my Note 4 and Note Edge.
I cannot connect to 4G network with my android phones. But I can with iPhone 6 Plus. I have N910C and N915FY wich are both made for Europe market so compatible with Serbian 4G B3 1800Mhz network. But one thing is bothering me ,B3 or 1800Mhz 4G network works with 10Mhz but my service menu shows it is on 13Mhz... So could there be problem with 4G connectivity? What should I try to connect to 4G?

Stock S6 on UK 3 network how to set to 2G only network?

Hi all,
I'm on UK's 3 (Three) network and just took an upgrade to S6. Since I'm going to get new Nexus5 I gave the phone to my wife since 3 gives new S6 unlocked my wife is with Vodafone.
The problem is Vodafone sucks in my area and in certain places in my home there is no or very poor network connection. With her previous S5 we selected to use 2G only and she gets full signal.
The problem with S6 you can not chose 2G mode there is no such option as on S5 was. I only get these:
LTE/WCDMA/GSM
(auto connect)
WCDMA/GSM
(auto connect)
WCDMA only
There is no GSM only option as it was on S5. And since WCDMA/GSM is auto connect it prioritizes 3G which is very poor.
About the phone:
All stock from 3 (Three UK) used with Vodafone SIM.
Model: SM-G920F
Android: 5.1.1
Baseband: G920FXXU2BOGE
Kernel: 3.10.61-5012324
Build: LMY47X.G920FXXU2BOG8
Is there any way to force 2G only mode without rooting the phone or changing the ROM?
I tried Telinfo app it doesn't launch giving the error message: Your device does not have the required native Google API. (S) And this app works no problem on my Nexus5 with 5.1.1
When I try to input *#*#4636#*#* in dallier nothing happens.

I read somewhere here that Nova launcher has a widget to select GSM only. Not tried it myself as I'm also with 3 UK and have good reception. Hope this helps

I'm using Nova Launcher on my Nexus 5 and there is no such widget to switch network modes

[Q] LTE doesn't work on SM-N915FY

Hey guys.
I have an issue with my Galaxy Note Edge SM-N915FY. I got an LTE SIM Card from my provider two months ago. In this time I haven't seen the LTE symbol in the notification bar. It just says H+. Is there any way to get the device using LTE? LTE is activated from the provider and in settings of the device. My SIM card works fine using LTE in other smartphones like S4 Mini and another Note Edge. Just my own device is stuck with H+...
My SM-N915FY is complete original and it's running Android 5.1.1 and I live in germany.
If anyone has any advice for me, you would save my life!

Samsung Note 20 ultra-SMN986U1-5G connection issue

I have bought a Samsung Note 20 ultra-SMN986U1 from USA. I work and live in Kuwait and is currently using Ooredoo 5G network. But my phone doesn't show 5G network. Few months back I searched XDA forum and through service mode, change some bandwidth setting. The phone showed 5G only when connected to Wi-Fi but as soon as I switched off the Wi-Fi, the network will change to LTE+. After the latest update no more 5G connection.
Could you guide me how can I activate 5G on my phone that shall work properly.
