Same for me.
which is installed gapps?
mobile radio active
someone managed to solve it?
Same problem here, it's on majority of my apps and the screen time is all the way at the bottom. I've switched Roms, modems and firmwares. I really don't want to go back to lollipop lol.
Any solution?
Same problem here. Clean install of CM12S. When I'm on WiFi I have no problem.
I think it's this is a know issue of lollipop. No one knows why. Someone have the problem someone not...
I can suggest you to go on privacy guard and block keep alive from the apps who use most of the battery... And sometimes check if they are running and close them...
Until someone find the fix... Like Wakelock...

Problem also here...IT's not a wakelock issue...Looking for a fix!
This is a screenshot the difference drain between WiFi and 3G
Issue ist still there in CM12.1 . Thibking about switching back to Kitkat.
Same problem, COS12 with default kernel. I changed the modem to see if the OxygenOS' one could fix this and one particular app (WhatsApp) went from 3+ hours/day to 40min/day with similiar use and signal reception, but others remained high
Even 5.1.1 has it
I can't believe this annoying bug hasn't already been fixed as I can't believe why the entire group of lollipop users all around the world is flooding the web underlining it.
I've tried at least 3 different 5.1.1. based ROM and they all have this bug (not to mention how many different 5.1 based ROM I've already tested or 5.0.2 as well for what matters).
Funny thing tho, the first day I'm using the ROM the bug never appears: it's only after a couple of days that the mobile radio active stats spike up to 2 or 3 hours for some apps that use internet (it could be spotify, google search, etc.)
Really hope someone comes up with a fix, this is getting more than annoying...

I have a Nexus S 3G, and installed bone-stock, and got it to idle for 3 days 19 hours, give or take.
I wanted to try CyanogenMod, installed the latest stable (7.1), disabled Data Syncing, have a single GMail account, no apps installed and lose about 2-3% per hour battery life sitting still. I'm using the GladDOS 1.8 Kernel, which is what I used to get the 3 day idle before.
BetterBatteryStats shows that I have 11m23s of GTALK_ASYNC_CONN partial Wakelocks (this is over a 1 hour time period).
I used Titanium Backup to uninstall Google Talk, and still get the Wakelocks.
I'm going to re-install stock and re-verify stock idles fine.
Any ideas? I've searched high-and-low, and it appears it's a known issue, but I've yet to stir up an answer.
Anyone?
Thanks!

I know its been a few weeks guys and apologies for pulling this back up but i suppose its better than starting a new thread.
I have pretty much the exact same problem as plymptop above, i installed betterbatterystats and after only 2 hours its chewing through battery power and pointing to GTALK_ASYNC_CONN"my email address" /android_talk etc and beside this it says "Count: 94.
I had my phone returned to stock 2.3.3 a week or so ago and this wasnt a problem but it seems no matter what custom rom i install, i still get high battery consumption. Anything from 6-12 hours with little or no use.
Anyone got any pointers on what i can do to correct this? Thanks in advance.

Surely we cant be the only ones having this problem?
I'm loosing the will to live because of this phone. If i dont get it sorted soon im gonna shoot it and buy the new one.

Disable automatic backup in Privacy settings. Report back after this.
Destroying my battery life. Never had this before but recently my battery has been utter crap because of this. Always have had the same setup with every ROM I've had with Franco kernel. But this is ridiculous; at this time by 1pm I'd usually have 85-90% but I'm already at 68%. Anyone else have this?

Looks like an issue with Yahoo! Messenger's voice/video plugin
Have you tried uninstalling it or configuring it?
Or do you have any other third party apps that use the camera?
It happened to me multiple times, this is caused by an app using the camera wich crash. For me it was Snapchat, it told me that it could not access the camera so I stopped the app but some hours after I saw that this "mm-qcamera-daemon" killed my battery. After a reboot everything was ok : Snapchat working correctly and no drain.
I think that if you get an app saying that the camera is not accessible, immediately reboot your phone.
it also shows up every time you take hdr photos
Seems like it's snapchat guys. It wasn't able to access camera. Reboot fixed it temporarily but this is annoying as I notice it happens a lot now. Thanks for the info.

Yes. I have this issue, since a few days, too.
There is maybe a bug or something. I found a thread where lot's of people reporting the same issue: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=60058
In another Thread here, I found some solution possibilities like uninstalling Google Goggles. But it didn't help me.
So if anyone founds a solution how to (manually) fix it, please report. Not using the Phone and have a battery drain of about 50% in ~5h is annoying.
Maybe someone can make an app that detects which app is causing this problem or which can kill the process!?

I have neither snpachat nor Yahoo Messanger installed
Google just announced a fix for this bug. Android Central: Google pinpoints Nexus 5 camera/CPU usage bug, fix coming in next Android release. http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIwzPD-ihI

Hey everyone,
I was just hoping you guys can help out a OPO newbie like myself. I recently just got the phone after switching over from a Nexus 5. However, as a Nexus 5 user, all I have known for months was Lollipop so the first thing I did when I got the OPO was to throw on a Lollipop ROM. However, I've seem to run into an issue regarding deep sleep.
First, I want to say that before Lollipop, I did use the phone for a day or two with CM11S and the battery was great (screen on and standby). Since it was great, I've never tried to see if deep sleep was working, but I assume it was since the battery was great.
Onto the Lollipop ROMs, the first one I threw on was LiquidSmooth and the idle battery drain was not good. I also threw on the CM12 alpha modem that was floating around to fix the double tap to wake issues. Anyways, I installed BBS and CPU Spy to see that the phone never went into deep sleep (off the charger). I even tested this over night and it was not in deep sleep for more than a few seconds. To try to fix this, I fresh installed LiquidSmooth without the modem (used CM11S modem) and the same issue persists (I did not install any apps, just CPU Spy so it cannot be any rouge apps). Thinking it was the ROM, I went to SlimLP and the same issue persists. Thinking it could be a kernel problem, I flashed the AK kernel and still the same. Again, all of these were clean flashes with only CPU Spy installed.
My last resort was to go to CM12 to see if it was an issue there and it unfortunately is. According to CPU Spy, the lowest it ever goes is 300 MHz. In the battery settings, it appears that "Android OS" is what's consuming the battery. Please take a look at the screenshots below of my phone off the charger while I was sleeping (note: with the WLD screenshots, I did install a few apps but it clearly isn't any of those that are causing the issue). Also note that I began sleeping at 95% and you can see that it drained about 40% overnight.
TL;DR -- my OPO simply refuses to go into deep sleep which causes massive idle battery drain (as reported by CPU Spy and BBS). Tried clean wiping and installing a different Lollipop ROMs, kernels, and radios without any solution. Cannot be a rouge app because I tested it with a fresh install. I would hate to have to go back to CM11S. Can anyone help please? I'm fairly savvy with flashing and all since I've come from a Nexus but I'm pretty stumped here.
Thanks!

I came across this old post today, after seeing the exact same problem as you on the 20150317 build of CM12 stock. I tried installing the same apps as you, and got the same results. I am so confused, I never noticed this before. I am getting like a day and a bit battery life, which means if I fix this I should get around 2 days no problem.
From what it seems like, it seems app is not running in background properly. Power saving is off, app optimization for WhatsApp is on default setting (can't change it because it is a system app), and data is running properly. All other apps do push notifications just fine. Running 5.1.1 COI9 build.
Check settings -> data usage -> scroll down to whatsapp and chech that 'restrict background data' is off.

Hi.
Is this happening to you only on specific Wifi or also while on Mobile Data?
It's the same for me, never found a solution for this issue, it's coming from a know problem, apps like viber tango whatssap aren't running in background. changing build prop values or kernel doesn't resolve the issue, it's coming from the rom, and seems like marsmallow fixes that, we need to wait for marsmallow or cm or any non tw based rom from resolving the problem.
Same here, me and my friend have the same problem, some apps just dont run in background as they should, while others drain battery more than they should. If i try to open WhatsApp Web on my pc it won't let me without first opening the app on my S6 (providing I haven't gone into the app for some time)
A factory reset would probably resolve this. For a less drastic option, you can try clearing cache and data from the app [you'll have to set it up again, be sure your messages are backed up].

Seems to be an issue with the software. Marshmallow will hopefully fix it.
This issue (not only for whatsapp, but also for all push notifications untill unlock screen) is discused here:

Hey guys in the past week my XZ has been having some serious overheating issues. Even just idling at the home screen it sits at around 40-45c. It seriously makes the phone unusable since when you open anything it just warms up quick and throttles hard. I was thinking it was the last patch that came out so I unlocked the bootloader and tried out a couple of roms like carbon rom which was buggy as hell and slimbit aosp. No improvement. Tried out eXistenZ 6.0 which is what im still on now and no improvement. I honestly have no clue whats going on if anyone can help me that'd be great. Do you guys think my battery could be needing replacement? The phone isint even a year old. I have also tried the FSCv2 mod and still no improvement.

Change habit that after clean flash instantly install everything that exists in the playstore , especially various CPU/memory/battery monitors.
Install one aplication at a time until you find the problem.
btw, carbonrom Is excellent rom like all the other AOSP ROMs for the XZ

I don't think its a certain app I installed since it just started happening out of nowhere after no new apps have been installed. Android battery menu doesn't show any excessive battery drain from apps either. Even after I did a clean flash it was getting super hot and throttled in the setup process.
*Edit* It actually got to 50c while simply replying to your reply in Chrome and lagged tf out of my keyboard. Literally about to throw this phone at a wall.
So I've undervolted the cpu and the phone still reached 53c after browsing Instagram for about a couple minutes. Im seriously loosing my **** at this point. Im seriously thinking that this phone needs a new battery or something even tho its less than a year old.
Update. Did a fresh install of stock rom using flashtool and it throttled during the setup process and still throttles with no apps just trying to send a text message or simply play a song using google play music. Seriously nobody has a clue what is going on? I literally have to have my phone next to a fan just to do anything on it.
I discovered that my battery is only at 38c usualy so I think its safe to say that my battery is okay. My cpu is constantly pinned at 45+ and I only get about 3-4 hours out of a full charge. Did google play services get an update or something? I have no apps installed in my phone still. I seriously need any help
