What rom are you using because if you use the file explorer app of cm you just simply open the root explorer and it will show all the files or you can try a root explorer app..

Copy both files to system/app and give them the same permissions as the other files in that folder.
Do the same with the attached files (LG Home selector).
Reboot the phone and it will ask you what home app to use.
Afterwards, you can delete the apk of your current Home app.

I've actually pushed the files over via ADB, but it doesn't install for some reason.... and I can't just copy it into System/app normally because it fails...which is why I wanted to see if any one can create a flashable zip. :/
OMGGGGG Who knew this can be so hard for ONE app. lol.

I can help u to extract the app from rom ,you tried from update.app , or any flashable zip or any other way ? how u tried to extract the apk from ROM ?

I tried from UPDATE.app, and when that failed, I was able to extract the system.img from it, but failed as well.
Opening it up just shows unrelated folders, and I don't know where the apps are located.

Mount system.img using ext4 ..
Later goto /system/priv-app
And search for the folder called MMS.
Copy the whole folder and place it in /system/priv-app on your phone .
Just reboot and it wil appear

Hey, thanks for the help.
I've been searching on resources on how to mount as EXT4 but I can't find anything, I won't be able to.
It's not a big deal, I just wanted to give it a try, but I'm sure i'd just go back to textra eventually.
