Recently i installed pure Xperia z3 rom (2), i had a problem that the background of the settings app, clock and other apps doesn't change with the theme, i guess the problem is because of the framework, so any body can help me to modify the framework to solve this. Thank you. I don't want to replace my framework just want to modify it because I like it

It's from information lord. com, but i think it's very similar to the one you posted, and it has the same framework
It's easy. Just replace ""SemcGenericUxpRes.apk"" from your stock rom backup to
SYSTEM/FRAMEWORK here
See if it works.
Actually the rom I posted is almost same but has more features like
Stock cam, Working sound enhancements, and some other fixes. It's just the updated version of the rom you installed. Somesh didn't posted it on the website, so I decided to post it here. Both the roms are developed by Iwanuzumaki.

Thank you for this awesome rom, but i replaced the file you told me about but it didn't work,it's because of the framework -res. apk because when i replaced it with the stock one it worked but I lost the z3 framework, so what is the solution because i like your framework and i don't want to replace it

I just got the I9506 and coming from a CM powered phone one of the things I missed was the DSP Manager app. So, I decided to port it to the S4. All you have to do is to copy the files in the zip to their proper locations in the phone with a rooted file manager and set the permissions to RW-R-R
Sorry, it is NOT a flashable zip as I do not have a custom ROM installed to test it, you'll have to move the files manually.
If you encounter any problems let me know.
I STRONGLY SUGGEST to back up the files before replacing them with the new ones....
This has been tested and working on a I9506 with stock ROM (4.3), but should work on other 4.3 ROMS and maybe also on 4.2 or 4.4. Test and let me know.
* If your phone dies doing this I'm not responsible
** I just edited some config files, the REAL WORK is from CM team.
*** This has been done for my personal use, I'm not looking for fame and/or glory, just sharing in case it is useful to anybody else
Have you tried Viper4Android? A lot more features than the standard DSP application.

Is an app that adds a number of sound effects and let's you set specific sound EQ values depending on the output (Headset, Loudspeaker, Bluetooth). If you have a custom recovery do a nandroid and test it... I think it should work

Fair enough, what you're comfortable with is the most important thing. But just to point out that it's very similar in terms of UI it just has a lot of additional options for tweaking the sound. I strongly suggest you try it and see if you like it. You can certainly get a better sound out of it than a plain DSP app. It's absolutely essential for anyone who uses their phone as a music player in my view.
Works fine on i9500. Not works on stock music app. thank you

I'm currently using stock Nexus 5 firmware but would like to have some of Cyanogenmod apps too .
Like cLock widget, file manager, torch, sound recorder.
I'd like to get them from official Cyanogenmod website as I don't trust APK files distributed by third parties.
However when I extract APKs from latest Cyanogenmod M release for Nexus 5 (currently cm-11-20141008-SNAPSHOT-M11-hammerhead.zip) some of them forceclose on start .
So I extracted the apps I need from latest stable release for Nexus 4 (cm-10.2.1-mako.zip) and they seem to work fine.
But is there a way to make APKs from Nexus 5 Cyanogenmod releases work on stock Nexus 5 firmware?
Are APKs in Nexus 5 Cyanogenmod builds any different from APKs included in Cyanogenmod builds for other phone models? Or there is some kind of 'standard' Cyanogenmod APK set which is afterwards 'tuned' for each phone model?
Some may require libs or framework. For those that only require lib files, simply open the .apk in question on your PC using WinRAR or the equivalent (it is technically a renamed .zip file)
If it has a lib folder or any files ending in .so more likely than not, you'll need to move those files to system/lib before the app in question will function properly.
There's also CM Apps available in the playstore, no guarantee they'll work. But I think they've been optimised to work on any firmware as I've never had any issues with them.
Thanks for quick replys!
I guess the apps indeed need some custom CM libraries. I may try this after checking out official Lollipop firmware, not going to root untill then.
And yes, APKs from 'CM Apps' work well (app itself broke but APKs are still on autohor's website). I'm interested where did the author get them. Just by trial & error from builds on CM website or not.

They work on your ROM because your ROM has CM stuff in it. Most of them won't work at all on actual full AOSP ROMs without them, like PA.
He probably just downloaded the ROM zips and took the apk files out.

LG Framework is the backbone of every bloat feature LG added and this project aims to re-inject those important things to be able to run again OEM-implemented features like QuickCover, QuickMemo, QuickSlide Apps, etc. (LG Camera included in the list)
AOSP delivers the performance that we sought, but with those improvements come sacrifices. Other features shipped by LG aren't included in those lovely projects. So here we are, the X7 Team, and our kind and brave testers, to bring forth LG's bloat work to the world of Open-Source Softwares (not to open-source or reverse engineer it)

Updating OP...
Well, if you want more up to date framework, here's the link: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24499762636001056
Just a little update here...
LG's framework seems to be properly named... their code's easy to track... LGCamera are disassembled... LGMemo are disassembled, LGMemo too... Maybe if I could just find "where" the hidden framework are ahahahhaha
So I will start porting the framework for running the most important!
STOCK LGCamera... (lemme re-emphasize ) "Stock" not ported LGCamera with all functions working
I already seen its possible since all codes are exposed... and native libraries are easy to modify too
Guys... we're seeing so much light here ahahahah
EDIT: BANG!!! Gotcha!!!
Code:
android.media.action.IMAGE_CAPTURE_OEM_MODE

If you are trying to port the camera and all the framework, you migh aswell have a look into the "advanced binaries 2.0.0" which XCAM uses that are ported from G Pro 2 LP 5.x.x. They seem to give overall better quality and you can get them as a .zip from the OT.
Keep us updated ^^

Dude, he's using a backup from CloudyG2 which already has an advanced camera driver.
Just a little clarification here... Even though a software is closed source, that doesn't mean you can't port it...
It is also open source... but in a hideous way Nothing can stop someone dedicated
And also that's why there are such a thing called "disassembly" and cross-referencing binaries ("diff" in short?)
Remember... someone already did port stock (Oxygen OS) camera binaries to CM for Oneplus One
I just realized that the framework used between Kitkat and Lollipop are so different... Ghash XD
But the function is pretty same, just refactored, and some are stripped out... Focusing now on just CloudyG2 3.3's framework...
Btw... does anyone here knows how to know the name of a library? XD
There is a library that LG Camera API uses which is named "hook_jni" in java interface but what *.so might it be looking? Who is "hook_jni"? Does anyone know?
Doing the lords work, sir!

As of now... only for CM13 as it is already a good base to start with and it is already CAF which means their software is already surpassing the qualities of an OEM one, but as always... OEMs have something we don't have :3

Nope, I won't try it XD as I am pretty sure that it will cause havoc to CMSDK and to our precious SystemUI. I'll try it in a later stage
Those that already downloaded the alpha... I already tested it and it won't flash XD
And yeah I will let it now on the wilds (people demanded it so here it is now)... Its still the same software I just fixed updater error 6 (it was a syntax error, my bad)
[size=+2]Flash at your own risk, Haven't tested it yet, and is for CM13 only, MAKE NANDROID BACKUPS FIRST[/size]
LG Framework Fixed v0.01
EDIT: News here again, I tested it and then did another pass to the codes and my predictions are correct... I missed the permissions for executing the API inside so its like its worthless... but because LG seems to be exposing things too much, it seems that permissions are laid somewhere in /system/etc/permissions... @Startrek852 ???
Another news... It booted just fine testing for bugs but i think it booted fine because the whole framework is not allowed to execute ahahahha, will release again once this mess is fixed
I don't really like the apps which are coming with custom roms. This is the reason why I created this tool. it is the official site of @Chainfire with all official releases of SuperSU. least you can do is Link to him instead of your private link. also its the latest version so compatible with every version of Android for our device ESPECIALLY CM 14.1. i dont want to be rude but proper credits have to be given when using someone's work and dont remirror files.
@peshellas When I'm home i will change this and add thanks and credits. And btw I just used the download link above because I wasn't sure if the official .zip would work because they have different build numbers and the one from the downloadlink seemed to be newer. And the download link isn't mine I just took the link from a site which uploaded this file.

Rc is only based on systemui apk, no need of replacing framworkres.apk and framework.jar!
i am not a big fan to take the stuff that makes SOMEBODY'S ELSE rom good and make it available on other roms.. And I agree with a previous post that android is not as simple as APKs, it may work on similar roms but as settings and systemUI are not standalone apps, there is libs, framework and many things more. For instance the the framework-res.apk defines many features and options available on rom control. And framework-res only works on the base rom.
Simply, if you want this, juste use sac23's rom

If you want our mods in other roms, you only have to ask to the devs of those roms to implement them. All them knows us, so, you do not worry. Doing this kind of things can have very bad consequences for the phones of users as you on upcoming rom updates...
So, close and delete this thread, it should be better, do not think so?
