Audio Problem - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I have a audio problem, I was watching a movie with mxplayer, and I received a call that was blocked with Blacklist app, after this no more sound to watch films, ear music or ringtones/notifications. I have uninstalled the apps and reinstalled, boot in safemode nothing solved the problem.
Only when I changed profile to another user all works perfectly.
Any idea to put it OK again.
Thanks in advance

Hi
I'm going to try this, hope I don't lose data, thanks

@qbom
Maybe you can try to uninstall Blacklist app and clean caches first.

You will not lose any data. But if you make a backup using recovery you are safe.

@vickyjusme
What's the point of nandroid backup of rom which isn't working well?

What if he ends up with a boot loop? and has to flash stock image. This is always recommended.

You don't need a nandroid to flash a stock. You need it, when you wan't to restore something that works well. Of course, probably, there is someone, somewhere that would make it opposite, but we can presume that OP isn't one of them. Or maybe I'm wrong?

[Q] Why does it take life-long time to uninstall app?

Hi, Guys,
I'm using P5110, with CM 9.
Everything was fine at the beginning, but din't know since when, it takes forever to uninstall any app, taking more than 10 minutes in many cases.
Sometimes, rebooting the tab would help to get the app uninstalled, but it is ridiculous to do so every time before uninstalling apps.
Any idea how to solve this?
Thanks!

Hi, Jxt,
Thanks for your attention.
The rom I am on is: [4.0.4] CyanogenMod 9, downloaded from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722099
Yes, my tab is rooted.
Hope it won't require complete system re-flashing rom, 'cause when thinking of flashing rom and installing, setting all the apps, it drives me mad.

Are you running out of space?
Try going into recovery and wiping cache? NOT Factory !!

I've just wiped cache, but sorry it doesn't work, problem remains.
Anything else to try?
P.S.
I've installed FREE MY APPS before, and therefore, have install/uninstall many apps on this tab, but months ago, I've stopping doing this and removed all the staff, including FREE MY APPS.
Maybe during that period, some mess was done to the system?

The only thing i would say to try now is flashing a different rom, i recommend Pacman roms.

I assume you are trying to uninstall from your Setting/Apps.
What happens if you log into the Playstore App and try to uninstall apps from there?

Have you tried to go into recovery and clear cache?

Problem finaly solved wihout having to reflash rom, or even switch rom!
All credit goes to a miracle app: SDmaid !
After trying wiping cache, and using several apps to clean the trash files (some tools did clean hundred MB of trash files) without any help, I tried SDmaid.
It further cleaned out tons of trash files, and right after that, it takes only few seconds to uninstall apps, work like charm!

HDR+ Icon gone

Hi guys...
I have my Nexus 5 for 2 months and I am using the newest version of Android Kit Kat (OTA) and stock..
The problem is, the HDR+ icon is gone, can't use this anymore (I've used this 2 weeks ago), tried to clear data/cache of the camera APP , flash is off, still no icon...
Any solution?
Thanks!!!
Screen attached
Hi,
Clear data/cache of camera app and reboot the device. If this doesn't help then, Open the camera app and touch and hold anywhere on the screen for a few seconds ... 4 options would be displayed there which includes the HDR+ option as well.

If you were rooted, we could have tried to push the stock camera apk and see but without root, such problems have only one solution : Freakin Factory Reset!
before taking that step, wait for a while and lets see what others have to say about this.

Have u logged in your google account because as far as I can remember, we don't see hdr+ unless we have logged in the google accounts.
If yes try removing it and adding it again.

I have the same problem. running M preview 3 with Hellscore kernel. You can install the app via the play store and use TB to restore data. It is a pain but at least you get your app and data back.

So you say that if I install every app individually and then use Titanium Backup only to restore the data of the apps, it will work?

Try force stop, clear cache and clear data, then uninstall Facebook and Messenger on App Manager. Reinstall again..
or uninstall and use an alternative to facebook and messenger, those 2 apps are notorious for causing issues (well at least for me).
i use Friendly and have never had any issues at all.

Bluetooth Connection - Car Stereo

I am having an issue work my car stereo connecting to "media audio" on my phone. The phone always connects and media audio works fine with all other Bluetooth devices except my car. I can get it to work after the stereo says no connection I toggle media audio and then it connects. It used to auto connect no problem. Any help would be appreciated.
Stereo: Standard 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
ROM: OOS 10 Stable
Phone Mods: FDE.AI, rooted, bootloader unlock
Magisk modules: Oxytweaker, Google dialer framework, YouTube vanced
I had a similar issue suddenly appear. The first saved Bluetooth device auto connected. None of the others would. Couldn't figure out what to do. In the end I rebooted to TWRP and restored.

No sorry, I wish I could. But I am not clever with phones.
I restored system. That did not fix it.
I restored vendor. That did not fix it.
I restored data. That fixed it.
It doesn't make sense to me. But that is what I did.
I hope someone else more knowledgeable than you or I can chip into the conversation here.

TWRP > Restore > Data
Of course, if you have not previously backed up Data in TWRP, then it will not be possible.
With regards to all those other suggestions you mentioned, none of them worked for me. But if you have not yet tried them, I would still suggest you do.
Good luck!

There is no point in restoring Data unless your backup was done prior to the issue arising.
If you already have 9.5.11 System, Vendor and Data backed up, and you know at the time of back up there were no Bluetooth issues - then yes restore that. But I don't know the process to downgrade like that. If you are successful in that, then you should be able to upgrade from there afterward. Hopefully without further Bluetooth error.
But I need to remind you. I am not good with phones and can't be sure restoring Data is what actually worked. It doesn't make sense to me that it would.

No I understand I've already downgraded and upgraded and downgraded the software a few times so I think I got that under control but yeah I'll try restoring data after I update because Bluetooth works on the 9.5.11 update no problem
