IBUS Connect with Raspi and Android - Android General

Hi Guys,
i found something interesting for all the Car Enthusiasts out there on Github.
Im a newbie here so i cant post links but you can find it here
github.com/TrentSeed/BMW_E46_Android_RPi_IBUS_Controller
My Problem is that i cant find the " android/bin/BMW_RPi_IBUS_Controller.apk " like the developer described
Do i have to install it via Java on my Android Radio or how does it work? It seems like the app is aready "open" and not packaged
Im kind of a noob so what do i have to do that i can install the apk/app ?
I already ordered the USB Stick i need for the communication..And i own a HuiFei Android Radio Device so i think i wont need an Android Phone/Tablet for that...
My second problem here (on Raspberry Pi)
" Install python modules: pyserial, libbluetooth-dev, pybluz
easy_install pyserial
apt-get install libbluetooth-dev
pip install pybluz"
the last command "pip install plybuz" dont work for me it always says command not found ( yes im using always the sudo command in front) but without it also dont work
I think that could be a really interesting project when it works

Nobody?

[Q] HP Zeen C150 Tablet

Anybody have one of these? I recently got my hand on one, and the estation c1650 printer also, and wondering if there is anybody else with on, would like root, and or wipe the device and get ride of the stupid hp touchsmart UI. it would be a dream to run a galaxy tab rom or something. I though i saw a galaxy tab floating around? a system dump maybe? But any help would be appreciated.
HP Zeen
OK, I managed to use the latest Android (2.3) SDK usb drivers to get the windows to recognize the device. I could copy files to/from the SD card.
USB\VID_03F0&PID_9F11&REV_0223&MI_01
USB\VID_03F0&PID_9F11&MI_01
To get it to work, I had to edit the inf file at location:
"[SDK PATH]\google-usb_driver\android_winusb.inf" and add the following information:
;FOR ZEEN
%SingleAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_03F0&PID_9F11&REV_0223&MI_01
%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_03F0&PID_9F11&MI_01
ADB currently will not recognize the device. I'm not sure what's messed up. Calling HP now to see about proper USB drivers.
Zeen
OK, HP says the USB drivers for the zeen come with the printer and even though I plugged in the first time it didn't work, the second time it did and Win 7 recognized it as a HP zeen. Ran the disk install in between.
That said ADB still has no idea. Fresh eclipse SDK install. Any thoughts on how to get ADB to recognize it?
Let's keep this thread alive. I got the drivers installed with your help. Can't get adb to see mine either. There has to be something we are missing. I think this device is similar to the pandigital novel so I have been reading over there. I will keep working.
Apparently, some firmwares seem to disable "adb" service...
Nice to hear someone else is out there trying. I found the following in a different post about the galaxy s, tried it with the Z4root, and while the command seems to take, it didn't work to get ADB. I tried it on a couple of different machines, let me know if it works for you. Also, when I called HP about the drivers they (at least the support techs) didn't know squat about android. Not helpful.
"Apparently, some firmwares seem to disable "adb" service on the Galaxy S.
So in case you run into this problem (adb unable to see the device) what you will need is to modify /default.prop on the SGS.
Here is what I had originally:
Code:
#
# ADDITIONAL_DEFAULT_PROPERTIES
#
ro.secure=1
ro.debuggable=0
persist.service.adb.enable=0
To enable ADB on SGS
1. Run on the device: setprop persist.service.adb.enable 1 to temporarily switch it on.
2. pull /default.props with adb and modify the "ro.secure=0" and "persist.service.adb.enable=1"
2. mount -o remount,rw rootfs /
3. push modified default.props back to /
In more detail:
1. Root your device (see FAQ sticky post)
2. Install shell emulator on the device
3. In shell emulator, enable ADB (not sure if you need to run "su" before that):
setprop persist.service.adb.enable 1
4. Now, you should be able to connect to the device with ADB (temporarily). If not, make sure your udev rules (for Linux: /etc/udev/rules.d/51-android.rules) are smth like:
SUBSYSTEM=="usb|usb_device", ATTRS{idVendor}=="04e8", MODE="0666"
5. To make the change permanent:
adb pull /default.props .
(this will copy default props to local directory)
6. Modify the two properties as follows:
ro.secure=0
persist.service.adb.enable=1
7. Re-mount the root filesystem on the device in read-write mode (requires "su" before that):
mount -o remount,rw rootfs /
8. Now overwrite the /default.props on the device with modified one:
adb push default.props /default.props"
Okay, z4root did give me root access. I installed root explorer and terminal emulator. I am trying to find adb wireless so I can see if we can adb into the device using that. I think if I can i can install the market on the zeen
RootExplorer
Got a link to the RootExplorer APK? When temporarily rooted, I tried to install the market APK and got the finger. Did you perma-root or just do temporary?
I don't know anything about wireless ADB. What's the story with that? (admittedly, I'm a developer but getting up to speed on hacking the thing open).
I dont think I am aloud to post the root explorer apk. Wireless adb is just supposed to let you use adb without plugging anything in. Unfortunately, it says my device isnt rooted when trying to run it. Im gonna keep playing around with it.
Hey can you try to run adb over wifi. Just hook up your zeen to wifi and your pc and run adb like normal, but when you first run it type "adb connect xxx.xxx.xxx:5554
replace xxx with your zeen ip address. See if it lets you connect like that.
all the zeen but the adb drivers are in the zeen itself your just useing and uncapatable cable so it wont install usb driver and masstorage ones with out the proper cable, the adb drivers you will only get when useing sdk tool and has to be in debuging mode and pluse it has to have the correct cords like useing a samsung usb with a motorolla usb and sry i faild english and hate typeing so to lazy to do spell check like any one else will u get my giff the adb driver will install same time sdk will just its kinda tricky getting access to them and makething them work, a good way to test is plug in your w.e droid and go to your cpu cmd window, and type adb shell if it finds you droid then your golden but if not then bad cable or not in debuggin mode and have to have sdk installed and packages installed that come with it....
untile you can take the h p block of the android makret it wil never install or wont install properly more or less a complete rom will come out in like 3-5 months with the market on it and idk if the printing app will still be there but trust me you wont get it but there are 3 other alterative markets out there and 4shared.com has not let no one down............
if you want the android market on the hp tablet for the zeen or any other tablet that people are haveing a problem get anything and don't like yam or black market or any of that b.s g0od t0 4shared.kom and download a apk file with the name applanet and you should install the version 2.7.3 and i tried all the other version some will install and some wont but so far this one install and has 92 percent of the real adroid market and looks just like the market i found everything from root explorer to romanger and every app i seen in my droid i found on there and updates trust me if you want a g0od makret, well i just gave you the answer, n0w s0me one make 2.2 work on this thing, i have one to donate, [email protected] for some work to be done
Thanks for the tip on the Android Market! I installed it on mine and it works

rooting captivate 2.2

how do u root with z4root with out being able in install any 3rd party apps
!!
please help!!!!
Do alittle more research on the whole root process. 2.2 is a little weird but instructions are out there. I would not use any app to root Basically you need to find the right zip and install that with the button recovery.
Also don't expect an immediate response. Just because no one respond in 5 minutes does not mean they won't

I had to use a side loading app to get z4root installed on my phone and then rooted it from there.
Google "captivate side loading" and you should be able to find the app you need the name escapes me at the moment.

Sideload Wonder Machine from Android Central worked great for me.
http://forum.androidcentral.com/and...40770-ac-sideload-wonder-machine-windows.html
Watch this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFHLVF1aA0Q
If you can get an app to load and work on your machine to side load the apps you are ready to go. If not, i.e. Vista 64bit is an issue for DroidExplorer, you can use simple adb commands.
Like the video says... assuming you have the SDK and drivers installed. This is also assuming a computer running windows, if you are running Linux well... if you are running Linux you should be able to translate
1. Open a command prompt
2. change directories to the platform-tools directory where ever you installed the 3. SDK. i.e. C:\android-sdk\platform-tools
4. Turn usb debuging On via the phone Settings->Applications->Development and check Usb debuging
5. connect your phone to the PC with the usb cable
6. type adb devices
If you then see something like this you are ok to continue, if not you need to figure out what is wrong with either your SDK install or your driver install
List of devices attached
100049b90495 device
7. type adb install <location of your z4root.apk file> i.e. adb install c:\apks\z4root.apk
8. You will see adb copy the file and install to the phone. (If it fails start reading more in the dev section here. All the answers are there)
9. Disconnect your phone and open up z4Root on the phone and root it.
That should help. All of the steps above and A LOT more are in the dev section here, as posted above search and read and ye shall have all the fun you want.
+1 Sideload wonder machine
Follow the rooting guide on youtube from mobiletechvideo(?), he has a bunch of videos, one is how to flash cognition based rom onto your phone (but the first step is rooting, so you could skip the rest if you didn't want to flash a rom).
Hope it helps

[Q] Unbricking LG P500 with Android SDK HELP!!!

Hello! Yesterday I was putting a custom recovery on my LG p500, and as I am a noob in phones and everything else I fcked up something, and now i have the ''fastboot mode started'' screen. Now, on this http://www.androidpure.com/unbrick-lg-p500-stuck-at-fastboot-mode-due-to-bad-recovery-flash/ page, i have downloaded all the things listed there.
Now, my computer recognizes the phone, it doesn't open the ''removable disk F'' as it has always, but it says it is recognized.
WHen i downloaded Android SDK, on the page they say I should have a directory on disk C, but I DONT KNOW HOW TO INSTALL ANDROID SDK!! When i click on SDK manager it just opens a window similiar to cmd prompt, and then the window close after some seconds.. Please help me!!
Also, on that link there is the cmd program open and he says what to write to unbrick it, but I don't understand anything about it!! Please someone help me I am mad!!!
Instead of messing with the entire Android SDK, which isn't needed BTW, why not use Android Flash Recovery to install another recovery? Link for Android Flash Recovery ( AFR ) is in my signature. It's just a simple UI for the fastboot executable from the Android SDK. No command windows to deal with and nothing to type. Point and click...
As per you problem with the SDK, Android can't find your Java installation. Did you install Java 6 or 7 SDK as well?

Trying to get monitor mode working with nexmon

I downloaded nexmon from the play store and I can't seem to enable monitor mode, I have the utils and framework installed. I'm using dirty unicorns ROM with Kali on top. I have been looking all over on how to use it. The github says to use adb shell and then enter a command but I'm trying to do mobile pen testing and don't want to be tangled to a PC. Can anyone tell me how its done ?
Have you tried using terminal emulator to run the commands?

The correct command is nexutil -m1 right ? I tried both the kali terminal and the android terminal.
Hopefully someone else can come give some advice, I have no clue as I have never ran that set up. I was just thinking the only way to get adb commands without a pc is to use terminal emulator app.
Anyone ?
I too need help with this. From the reading I've done nexmon is supposed to work as a standalone for things like airodump-ng but it doesn't exactly define handshakes and what is happening. It uses the terms becons and frame, I don't understand how these translate and would prefer to enable monitoring on the CMD in Kali.
It seems the problem is that nexmon stores the files in Android bins and Kali CMD doesn't see these as it is a separate machine. How do you merge the files so Kali can recognize that nexmon has a way to monitor the wlan0.
Furthermore how do you get Kali CMD to kill the P2P0 network, it seems as though this might cause a problem once you get it to monitor and try to run airo commands

Question Unlock boot loader and Kali Nethunter

So I want to put Kali Nethunter on my SM-S127DL
I tried following a tutorial but failed to achieve boot loader unlock...
So I want to install Kali Nethunter for the tools but I also want to get away from having to be logged into Google, Samsung or Apple.
Has anyone unlocked the loader and installed Kali Nethunter? Can someone point me into the right direction?
I also have the SM-S127DL it seems to be a more locked down version of the A12 so I too am looking for assistance with getting a clean rom on this.
There is not OEM unlock setting under dev mode settings.

bruh.. .. .. .. -_-
If you cant unlock a bootloader using a tutorial theres no chance on earth youre going to be able to use kali linux or any of the "tools" it has in it , which require learning each of them to use also. Its not just click a button and become master hacker... it took me roughly 3 years to get a full understanding of the stuff and i barely even know how to use the tools , thats just installing and building custom kernels unlocking bootloaders etc ..
nor is installing kali going to stop you from being logged into google samsung or apple .. nethunter is just an app.. your entire phone will stay the same , youll just have a nethunter app now thats all , with the exception of hacking wifi , you can do everything else that kali can just by downloading termux from fdroid and andronix from the google play store. they are both free and andronix allows you to install kali in any android phone wqithout unlocking the bootloader or rooting it with one click. just install the Kali Xfce version and then in the command line (if it doesnt say root then you need to type commands with the word sudo before them) but anyway assuming it says [email protected]: type "apt update && apt upgrade -y && apt install kali-linux-default kali-themes kali-menu" without the quotes and that will give you a full kali setup ..when thats done just type "vncserver -start" and then use the vnc viewer app to connect to "localhost:1" and presto you have a full visual desktop now
