Multi User support on Sprint S5 Lollipop Is it possible? - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Multi User support on Sprint S5 Lollipop Is it possible? Can it be done w/o Root access...was so looking forward to this feature, do not see any settings to turn on. Ideas?

There's a User menu under Settings. Try it.

Won't Activate Mobile Data (Sprint)

Hey all. I flashed my first rom today and its just stuck on "activate mobile data service". If I press skip, it would be able to make calls but no 3g data. I took out the sim card and still no luck. There is no APN settings on the mobile options. Not sure what to do here.

Call Sprint (using a phone other than your Nexus 5) and ask them to re-provision your data. This happens quite frequently on other devices also after flashing a new ROM with Sprint service.
Just keep in mind that neither Google or Sprint have to support the custom ROM. While they may not know that you are on the custom ROM, I would just put it back to stock and see if it work first.
I found the fix. There's a flashable apn zip for sprint that got me data.

I have the same problem
Hi guys I have the same problem. My sprint Galaxy s4 had a custom rom installed, and sprint told me I cannot activate my phone because of this. Anyhow I installed the factory rom on it. After that they activated it for me, I'm wondering if I can root it again and flash an custom rom again. Please someone help. Would it affect my phone service.

Secure/Blocked box

Just recently came from sprint as my company wanted a change. I have noticed that our device does not have the secured and blocked boxes in the messaging app. Any ideas how to gain access to them again or what has to be done to get them back into the device
I've been asking for this and no answers yet. Even intl version has it and on HTC main website.
I tried pulling the message.apk from a Sprint Rom and had no luck when I flashed it so I am not sure if I am doing it wrong or if there is something in the framework preventing it

I bet it's just a simple xml file edit to enable it but would have no idea where to look for it. I wouldn't flash Sprint unless u don't use VVM.

How does one flash custom prls?

I found the thread telling how to enable all lte modes which gave the handy dandy msl reader app and that's all well and good, but I can't seem to find where the manual prl update is :/ I've found it on the og evo and my S3 but it don't see it in the ##data# menu on this bad boy. Am I just blind? If so please braille it out for me (and I mean absolutely no offense to the vision impaired, just trying to be funny)

heard people using PRL Helper
Haven't tried it myself, but you need root to use it.
I just use Roam control to force roaming.

PRL write works!!!
in the rom mentioned above, the write PRL option is there when you hit ##data# and then select view. Just scroll down a bit and youll see write prl. I just did it, verified working. Data speeds now faster thank you for the ROM suggestion!!
Prl helper does not work on stock rooted

Hotspot on 6.0.1 MARSMALLOW WORKING

]Sprint galaxy note 4 i can confirm this sqlite editor goto last two lines data/data/android/protocol/telephony then to carriers then to data last two lines you want to edit (default, mms) to (default, mms, dun) this must be done on a rooted phone....I did it had to wait about ten minutes after edit don't know why however i rebooted and POW I HAVE NATIVE HOTSPOT HACKED AND UP AND RUINING CREDIT IS NOT MINE IT GOES TO THE PERSON WHO DID IT ON LOLLIPOP 5.1.1
Made the edits to /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db. I could see dun added to the APN Settings (##DATA#), but all mobile data was lost. Multiple reboots, still no data. I connected to wifi and did a profile update. As expected, mobile connectivity is fixed, but dun was removed from the APN Settings. Waiting for somebody smarter than me to come up with a robust fix. I'm loving Marshmallow other than the loss of my hotspot.
What i did after i Rooted
Installed Root Checker
Installed BusyBox
Made sure I had Root
Installed GalxyTools (idoneapps)
And hit Enable Native Hotspot
Well, TX posted his deodexed TW 6.0.1 ROM and there is a flashable Hotspot zip in the second post for odexed or deodexed. I would say that using his fix is probably the safest way to go

Where did you find GalxyTools (idoneapps) that worked with the Note 4 running MM? I've been looking, but can't find one that works.
You have to buy it from developer, they stopped supporting free versions

It is a standard stock rom, but the phone is rooted. However i have experienceed the problem even before rooting my phone so i dont think that is the problem.

Hmm only other way I can think of is to do factory reset from what I've read. There is an app on playstore which hides developer mode but it is not mm compatible
