Hi
I'm pulling my hair out over here, cannot get this thing rooted. This must be the first android I owned for which I cannot find a working exploit.
So I turn to you guys, does anyone know how to root it?
Alternativly, is there a way to downgrade it?

Yeh, that one doesn't work either; signature bugs unavailable.
Guess they patched it.
Still unrooted
Please let me know if you find a solution... i have also tried everything with no luck!

OK... iRoot v1.7.9.2 rooted HP Slate 7 VoiceTab with Android 4.4.2 :good:

yeah thats what got me to download heimdall but they only do it in odin on the windows and its not really the same.

Now with root AND unroot! It should also work better than the previous version.

1. Extract the .zip to anywhere
2. Run AndyRootkit21.exe
3. Choose whether to root or unroot

Your tool did the job on my previous Andy, not sure what version was. Thank you very much.
The latest version of Andy came these days and it's much more improved. However the AndyRootKit application doesn't work with the latest version of Andy emulator. Does any of you know how to root version 0.41.1010??

You can use LG Flash Tool 2014 to flash a kdz that is rootable
Hello, I want to unlock bootloader XT1028.
I searched and found unlocking bootloader way with SunShine. but It needs to be rooted.
But current version of my device is 4.4.4, but pie root is not working on 4.4.4.
Is there any way to root this device?

Hi. Try to unlock bootloader here and install CWM here, after, enter in recovery mode and flash SuperSu here.
You need to rollback to 4.4.2 first.

several other things wouldnt flash (motoboot.img, logo.bin, boot.img) so it looks like its a no go.
iv been trying to unlock the bootloader in honor 8 in 1 week now. and did the official-method but it got stuck on "waiting for device"
and also when i tried to install the huawei drivers in windows 10 the setup wont run. i also installed the adb and fastboot the latest version.
do i need to use dc unlocker? iv looked into that but no version supports honor 8 it seems like.

What is your "fastboot getvar all"? Maybe using wrong unlock tool.
im using adb i followed this full totorial for FRD-L09. http://www.modaco.com/forums/topic/...your-honor-8-official-and-unofficial-methods/

Get your phone to bootloader mode. Find button combo to access bootloader. Type in a CMD prompt fastboot getvar all. Post outcome.

It's probably cuz your PC doesn't have appropriate drivers installed.
