[Q] HELP! LG Optimus 3D won't start (HARD BRICKED) - LG Optimus 3D

Hi! Got major problem. Recently I tried putting TWRP to my ICS 4.0.4 LG P920. I installed it (don't remember the TWRP version) but not quite correctly. If I try any ROM to install I always get in to statuts 7 error. If I try to run into reovery from ROM manager I get lying down Android with red triangle and a exclamation mark. I only managed to get in to recovery by POWER + VOLUME DOWN. But it still won't allowed me to install other ROM's such as Jellybean etc. Cache cleaning and Dalvik didn't helped. So I thought I will try this program http://theunlockr.com/2012/11/07/how-to-install-clockworkmod-recovery-on-the-lg-optimus-3d/ because it looked the easy way.
THE PROBLEM:
So I ran the program and chose to install LG Stock Recovery. It showed installation was successful. But now when I try to turn on the phone it goes in to restart loop (when on cord). Shows LG logo and restarts other and other and other. . . Can't even get into recovery. If plugged off and pressing power it shows logo and turn off.
Any advice would be VERY appreciated.

Tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2246001
Fastboot runs successfully but at the end my phone just vibrates but no LG logo shows up

Anyone?

Try flashing 4.0.4 using the flashtool, then use OS-Hackings tool to install cwm recovery and wkparks bootloader if you want.

Hi! I will try, but not sure if could do it with some missing images of instructions. Also, tried soldering 4 and 5 pins with 910 Kohm (it supposed to turn Lg phone in download mode), nothing happened.

If you are able to get into recovery, and get status 7 error, it usually means that the recovery is not compatible. If you want to install ics again just use the aio tool the last version is easy to use. And flash another recovery. Then flash rom.

Actually, I was able to get into recovery before using http://theunlockr.com/2012/11/07/how...lg-optimus-3d/ . Now I can't basically do anything: can't get into recovery, download mode or turn on.
https://vid.me/M21i

Ok, so I did everything in the instruction as http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2268268 . Got the GREEN SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD mode, changed port to 41 etc. I managed to run SmartFlashTool_3D, cheched the port (41) Put the LGP920_110622.dll and LGP920_30A_AP.bin with LGP920_30A_CP.fls. An I've stucked with TimeOut error (my phone turn off durring this proccess even with full battery). Every single time I try. Any advice how to fix that?

Also tried different Flash tools. Tried B_SmartFlashTool_3D which showed the TimeOut error above in my post. Also tried LG Flash Tool. Problem is I never make it to the part it says Ready in the PORT1. Did everything on the instruction. Changed to port 41 when selected port 1 and it leaves me with :

When you get to that screen, press the arrow button, then it will show ready. Thereafter unplug usb and plug in again, it will then start flashing automatically.

Yes, I pressed the arrow, but it didn't change anything. Maybe I need different USB cable because I saw other people complaining about that. Also keep in mind that in the program there it says MODEL, it keeps blank space. Should it be so? In couple of Youtube videos I noticed that other people's smartphones were detected...

After hiting the yellow arrow in lg flashtool you have to reconnect the phone.
Also you can try flashtool2014 https://mega.co.nz/#!Hlo22baS!zXV3VKRZzOI5EtO5MEAUzICC5kcx-a7xAGspZzhKMFs
You have to instal lgb2c before that https://mega.co.nz/#!70hBEQZK!IpOGBNLLu4sfRBzygJw2J8vh0B3OLgaVto26S21rsHs
If you facing failed to connect server error then you also have to edit the host file in C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
And add this line 127.0.0.1 csmg.lgmobile.com

I have no idea why you get timeout error. I got these kind of errors with my Optimus 2x but after several tries I got passed. I falshed baseband and the rom separately.

that is matter of dll. I dont remember well, but I used the dll from an extracted kdz to make lgflashtool work with my optimus 2x p990

@Coolguy981
Friend, have you tried flashing a KDZ? It is a much more reliable way to flash your phone, especially after you have already run into problems. The LG Mobile Support Tool has changed a lot since I last used it but I'm sure it still has an emergency recovery function where you type-in your IMEI and the Tool recovers your phone to it's original factory state. After that, you can use the AIO tool to install a custom recovery, then root, then whatever you want...
Don't forget that this phone is unbrickable and if you ever run into serious problems, Xbsall's resurrection guide will bring your phone back to life.

Tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191698 didn't work. I put in S/W mode and ran UpTestEX put kdz file in it and pressed Normal web upgrade test and Upgrade Test. Nothing happens. So instead I chose Start Upgrade. The program shows line: " Extract kdz file" and do nothing for whole minute and my phone shutdown (it does that always if in S/W more than a minute and doing nothing). The program crashes and says Don't send error. Losing my faith in resurrecting this phone :crying:

You must have already installed LG B2C app on your PC. This is the official LG Mobile Update Tool.
- Just run that.
- Connect your phone in S/W Download mode.
- Look for Emergency Phone Recovery (or something like that) in the B2C tool.
- Type-in your IMEI when it asks you.
- Let it do it's job.

Help with fixing my phone (Please help)

I am going to give you the complete situation so you guys can help with the best of your ability. Over the summer I was at my Grandmas house with my cousins and we were playing Minecraft on the iPod and iPad. I knew that they had it in the Android market and tried to get it. No luck because it was not compatible with my device (Motorola Fire XT 530). I read up on a tutorial to get any app in the store and that was to change the build.prop settings to nexus x or something so I could get it. I rooted my phone and tried it but it screwed up my keyboard and an error occured on screen. So I went into this program I had and completely deleted the file(build.prop, still have a back up though). I tried to turn on the phone but it was stuck in a boot loop . So it is still in the boot loop and I cant turn on my phone.
Things I have tried so far:
1. Plugging it into my computer (wont show up)
2. Clearing my memory and cache in recovery mode (still wont turn on)
3. ADB (wont show up, not even in recovery mode)
4. Using this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1920446 (Was able to get into the flash mode but MSM Flash 7227 wont install correctly for some reason (have updated drivers))
5. Cant use ODIN because my phone cant go into download mode
6. Using default recovery (not clockwork, dont think I can get it because I cant turn on phone) to update the file (didnt work because apparently Motorola locks there bootloader)
I dont think I left anything else out and am looking for a solution. I also have default recovery which may be an issue.
Thanks a lot for reading

First of all you cant use Odin to flash Motorola Devices because it is meant for Samsung phones.
Secondly answer these questions:
1. In PC which OS are you using?
2. Have you tried reinstalling RSD lite then rebooting?
Having stock recovery is no issue because you can't get any other in this phone.
It is easy to get it back working.
I suggest you to try some other PC.
OR
Follow these steps as in order.
1. Uninstall RSD lite.
2. Uninstall Motorola Drivers.
3. Now first install Motorola Drivers the RSD lite.
I think this may work for you.
I am using windows 7 on a laptop which may be the problem because it may be a hub not directly connected to the mother board. Thank you and I will try your suggestion.
Btw thanks for all your help over the last couple days.
I also used this on two other laptops but the MSM Flash still wont install for some unknown reason. So I dont think using RSD lite is the problem.
Here's the solution
I found the solution to your problem.
Download the attachment.
Extract it.
Copy the file in the extracted folder and paste it in C:/windows/system32/drivers
Reboot your PC
And yes you must connect it directly without any hub or something.
Actually these are the RSD lite drivers which I think your PC was unable to install correctly.
Okay I will try this when I get home from school. If this doesnt work could you try sending me the MSM Flash7227 driver?

So locate that to C:/windows/system32/drivers/the-file-i-gave-you
It will install its drivers.
OR
Alternate way is to install Motorola Software Update from here
It will install drivers automatically as it also needs phone to be switched in flash mode(i.e. through flash drivers) to update phone software.

This didnt work because to update drivers my computer has to recognize the phone which it cant. I would need the driver Flash MSM7227 for it to work. If you could find that EXACT file on your computer and send it to me that would be great. I tried the two things you stated but it says the phone is not connected so I cant download the updates.
This must be very frustrating for you but thanks for your help.

Maybe 64-bit system.
And don't download moto update. Download and install only Moto software update "tool".
I sent you the same drivers. But I think the problem is my 32-bit system or your 64-bit.

Try this;
Be sure ported ics is installed.
Ready the gb rom with lg flash tool
Shut it down.
Remove the battery.
Ready the battery to be put back in.
Connect the usb cable while holding down volume +
Wait for the second connected sound.
When you hear it put the battery back in.
It should go into download mode with some korean s

Flashtool will take over and flash the gb.
What we did is we skipped omapboot because the device is already able to enter the download mode , therefore not really bricked...

If you're stuck in the LG logo then it should be able to enter the download mode.
Find a bin rom or kdz other than v21e then flash it , see if it works.
Also could be because of Win 7 or x64 , mine was XP.
Create another partition install xp in there and dual boot to Xp.

The clicking at the right arrow is just a reference to the normal way you activate the flash with lgflashtool.
I just suggested a secure way to flash, in case your flash goes not fine.
Last message when you are flashing baseband must be "Invalid ap path" and after you flash the bin file must be target resetting or reset.
We are talking here about o3ds that wont boot after installing gb...i have 2 o3d one of them downgraded successfully with lg flash tool but the other one just doesnt boot after flashing it with lg flash tool

Once again I must remind to all of you that this method of downgrading/resurrection won't work for everyone. There are "a few" devices that need a different bin file so if you are "certain" that you did everything right but your phone doesnt start with BOOTV21E and only starts with ported ICS you need that specific bin (which is not available because nobody who had the same problem made it).

Technically is a matter of board revision, sector of memory or similar issue?
Don't know cause I never had the chance to troubleshoot it or spend some time on a device with this specific problem so anything I say will be wrong.
Well I am sure I have done every thing right I flashed bootv21e more than 9 times yesterday with different scenarios ...and tried 21e kdz and tried using smart flash but still can't boot the device ...but once I flash ice the device boots properly..
.I think the problem is in the partition because when boot21e is installed and won't boot I tried wpkark alternate boot and boot.king won't flash due to partition doesn't exist.. and recovery flashes but also never starts it just shows loading and the device turns off ...SO I THINK THE PROBLEM IS IN THE PARTITIONS ..any ideas will be help full and I will try them..

How to: universally manually update all LG leon varients

This Guide as the title suggest is universal & how we will be "manually" upgrading our LG leon OS from 5.0.x to 5.1.x is by flashing a kdz file.
YES, it's very simple & easy to do. I created a step by step guide written & also pictures will be available as well.
This guide is NOT just about upgrading as it can also be used to fix your bootloop/brick lg leon if need be. But if you flash a kdz file with a newer firmware it MAY or NOT be able to flash it back to its earlier version, BUT I haven't tested that theory out yet.
The reason why I'm making this guide is because to make a "one stop shop" & also to keep other threads free of cluttered up messages that probably are outdated now from my other crappy guide that I posted on such threads.
WARNINGS
I'm NOT responsible in ANY way if you brick, break, slap, crap, toss, or any damages to your LG leon device
By using this guide your lg leon WILL be reseted so you WILL lose your data so back it up before you try this method
REQUIREMENTS

5. Click on Normal Flash
6. Click on Clear update registry
7. Country: different country
8. PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR LANGUAGE
9. Click okay and wait for the LG Mobile Support tool to recognize the device. It takes a minute or two but the tool will recognize it. The software starts the extraction and re-boots at %100. You can remove USB cable ONCE ITS RESTARTS & your device will boot normally, and the device is no longer stuck in a boot loop.
ALSO it has happen to me too often that the program WILL freeze & ask to be close
DON'T CLOSE IT OR STOP ITS PROCESS IN THE TASK MANAGER & IF YOU DO IT YOU WILL END UP WITH A LOVELY NEW PAPER WEIGHT!!!!
SIDE NOTE:
Please double check the kdz file that you are downloading from the firmware software version in about phone(software info) as the two will NEED to be different in order for you to upgrade your LG leon.
Hello! I have a 340n variant
In download section under most download there's a open Europe fw , is there a 5.1 or 5.0? There's no information about fw version. Thanks and sorry for my bad English

First tell which LG device you are using...so I can clarify specific steps
secondly...what are you trying to achieve in terms of using this guide: ie restoring to factory reset, down/up/grade?/etc/
thirdly....did you install a custom recovery or unlocked the bootloader?
fourth...did you follow the guide to the letter?
_____
Are you not able boot into recovery/download mode & which specific errors do you receive?

Help! My AT&T LG G3 D850 is soft bricked and I am stuck with errors in LG FlashTool

Help! My AT&T LG G3 D850 is soft bricked and I am stuck with errors in LG FlashTool
Background: I found my phone frozen with the screen turned off so I decided to restart it by taking the battery out. When I turned it back on I found out that it was stuck in a bootloop. So I tried to do a hard factory reset hoping it would fix it but it was still stuck. The only thing I recently did to this phone was update the OS to marshmallow few days ago using the software update option in settings (so not rooted). ATT or LG wont do anything to fix it because warranty has expired... only option is to try and fix it myself
So I tried flashing the original firmware using this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64624324&postcount=2) but I kept getting this error
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

}
Then I tried using the LGUP8974.dll (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63266194&postcount=84) as was suggested here (https://www.reddit.com/r/LGG3/comments/3ov9x6/need_help_lg_flashtool_model_information_check/) but now I get this error after 6%
I've been trying these tot and dll files from multiple sources in case the files I downloaded were corrupted, and have been searching for answers for few days but I can't find anything relevant. I don't know where to go from here, and any help or redirection to where I can find help would be greatly appreciated.
Anyone? I need to know if I should just move on and get a new phone or if I can fix this

Let me try to help you, but first of all you will have to tell me, the real position of your device now, i mean how is it behaving, at what screen is it stopped and what can you see if you want to start it?
you may need this kind of help if needed! http://open-freax.fr/guide-unbrick-your-lg-g3/
I got the same error until I ran the Flash Tool in Windows 7 compatibility mode. FYI, the latest version as far as I know is 1.8.6.527.

When I start the phone, the LG logo appears and it stays there indefinitely with the blue/green led flashing on top. I am able to get into recovery (where the only option is to do a factory reset) and download mode, and that's why I didn't think my phone was hard bricked. The link you recommended seems to detail a fix for hard bricked devices.

I tried the compatibility mode with my version and with the 1.8.6.527 but I still get the same errors. The only difference I noticed with the compatibility mode was that all ports except Port 1 (COM41) get disabled.

All the other ports will be disabled except COM41, that's normal. It might have been coincidence when I enabled compatibility mode.
Make sure you're using a USB 2.0 port as 3.0 ports seem to cause issues. Also plug it in directly to a port on the back of your PC tower not the front ports or a hub (if applicable).
Still erring

I made sure I was using the USB 2.0 ports. Even double checked in the device manager to see that it was plugged into the correct port. I get the same errors
I'm starting to wonder if this really is a hard brick... I'm just afraid of diving into some unnecessary process and risk creating more problems if this is not the case of hard brick.

Try different USB cables and a different PC if you can. It's not a hard brick if you can access recovery and download mode.
You also might want to try LGUP since you last had the MM update.

Please don't hijack the thread. Your issue is quite a bit different than the OP's.
Start your own thread with a descriptive topic title and folks will be more inclined to help you. Screenshots and/or exact error messages would help, too. Also, run-on sentences don't help.

So I went ahead and tried this on another PC. Made sure everything was right - USB 2.0, original cable for G3, win 7 compatibility mode. I still get the same error for both .dll files as I had previously.
What do you mean by LGUP though? Are you referring to the LGUP8974.dll?

LGUP as in the newer Windows program as opposed to the LG Flash Tool. Check the Back To Stock thread in LG G3 General.

The LGUP uses KDZ and only supports the D855 model. I have the D850 (AT&T) model. That said, I had tried that method prior to posting on here asking for help and it didn't work. I tried flashing the D855 firmware on my D850 hoping it would at least let me start the phone so I can root it and install TWRP or some other recovery so I can re-flash it back to the original firmware.
Edit: I doubt that my problems right now are caused by this risky method, because the flashing was interrupted at 6% similar to the TOT method. Also, I had these problems before I even tried the LGUP
I went through the same thing. Got Marshmallow and then looking for root got got that Kingroot. Got root but it was temporary and everytime I rebooted I had to rerun that frigging Kingroot. So there is an application that supposedly removes Kingroot and lets SuperSU take over and of course it hosed my phone totally.
The final solution was finding the correct dll file since there are a bunch of them floating around. Literally downloaded about five different ones and finally found one that worked. PM me your email and I will send it to you if you want to try it.

So I guess I was thinking of a different tool earlier. Anyways I tried flashing using LGUP and using the "REFUBRISH" option, I get the same error as I had with the LGFlashTools -- erase command failed at 6%. So I tried the "UPGRADE" option and, to my excitement, the progress bar went up to 100% and the phone rebooted. So I waited for it to boot up.... and nothing. I waited for a while and it's still stuck in the same state as it was before flashing. I plugged it back in download mode and LGUP detects the phone with version D85030K which after a quick google search I realized was the MM version(?) It seems like even though the progress bar went up to 100% nothing was actually done...
BTW I'm using the LGD850AT-01-V10d-310-410-JUN-19-2014+0.tot file so I'm not flashing MM on it

I think I killed my brand new phone

I've been running the crDroid OOS 10 OB3 ROM since I got my phone two weeks ago and everything was fine and I updated to OB4 today. Well, after I tried changing system ui themeing my phone stopped displaying any system ui at all so I tried to restore my nandroid backup. My nandroid backup took 4 hours then when it got to bluetooth my battery was dying so I had to stop it.
I rebooted into TWRP and tried to clean flash the rom but it gave me errors about mounting the data partition so I tried changing slots.
Well after I changed slots I am stuck in fastboot mode and can't get back to TWRP and adb wont recognize my phone. There's no bootloader or baseband version displayed on fastboot and the product name/variant is msmnile/SDM UFS, my phone is still unlocked if it matters. Someone in the ROM telegram suggested I try the MSM tool but my phone doesn't seem to want to boot into Qualcomm mode and I'm worried that might be a big issue.
Hi!
I really don't know if this helps because you might have already tried it, but I had a similar problem where the normal fastboot mode didnt work and I had no Recovery. Someone suggested, that I should hold Volume Up, Volume down and the Power button all at the same time and from there I was able to revive the phone with the All-In-One Tool...
I quickly looked up the Qualcomm Mode and MSM-Tool you mentioned but I'm still not sure if that is what I just described, so Im posting this just to make sure you tried it because it was a really easy fix when I thought I bricked my phone
Sorry if you already did it, anyway Good Luck!

Well see the issue is I'm trying to get All in One to recognize my phone but it won't seem to boot into EDL mode. I installed the Qualcomm USB drivers but it's still not showing my phone. When I use the key combo suggested to boot into EDL mode my phone does refresh in device manager giving me the qualcomm device so I assume this is download mode just not displaying the text anymore. If i try the key combo with my phone unplugged it takes awhile but eventually goes into fastboot.
In this case I can't help you, i googled EDL, it is what I meant and it was all I got :-/
Wish you good luck
If your bootloader is unlocked try to flash the fastboot rom from fastboot.

If you haven't fixed your phone yet just use MSMtool it will fix it, this phones essentially unbrickable.

If i uninstall the drivers and try again same thing and trying to use the qualcomm driver files tells me my driver is already up to date
