[Completed] [Q] ready to be used world wide or not - XDA Assist

Hello , i have recently found an ht. one m8 on eBay that it has a bad esn but clean imei , and also says that its ready for activation ..................... so i don't understand what it means , does it mean that it can be used world wide ? , like out side of US , thanks

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Go to Google and search for "bad esn", the first result you get should be a very helpful article by eBay. It's quite in depth and outlines the dangers in buying a phone with a bad esn. Personally, I wouldn't go anywhere near it.
Good luck!

[Completed] New Phone

I know this is stupid...and i may not get any replies over here...
but still giving it a try...
My budget is around 20k (300$), and i needed a phone which i can give it a future update as well. Since Android L is gonna come too, i would really want it in my phone. I'm currently using Huawei Y 200, and it pretty much sucks...! (NO CUSTOM ROMS MADE FOR IT )
so guys please help me out here!!!!!!!!
Hi there,
I'd recommend asking that question in the off-topic section of XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/off-topic
Since it doesn't really regard any form of development or needing a phone to be fixed, it is probably best placed there.
You will find lots of keen XDA users who I'm sure will input and tell you what they think.
Good luck!
P.S: I'd go for the Moto G

[Completed] Help, unknown manufacturer bad rom

First I would like to apologize for the english, I'm using Google Translator. Well .. I bought a smartphone by AliExpress, the price that it cost I do not expect it to be a great gadget.
But the ad said it was a Lenovo s820t, never found on the internet about this model. In short, to get my smartphone soon noticed the box that it was not an original device. But still a good player. Using had few problems. Too bad it is very modified Android and failing to install some apps like Instagram.
There is a ROM that could use to leave my smartphone better?
***'I'm new to the forum and I can not post the pictures and screenshots of the phone. But theys are be att
I can find much about your phone either, just a few sites in Chinese and Russian
Asking in the general q&a forum may get you more help from others

If you do find something be careful as the sticker on you phone says s820t but screen shot says a820t. May be a difference @KJ found this thread

[Completed] Screen UnLock History

Hello !
Some one has secretly unlocked my phone when i was away and used some data i have saved exclusively in my phone to commit fraud. If i can find out the time my screen was unlocked i can ascertain which one of my room mates it was. I am using a Moto X second generation phone and had a numeric lock code in place.
Is there any way I can access the time at which my mobile was unlocked?
Thank you
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist.
This app can do the job but it has to be installed before checking the log
AFAIK there's no built-in option in Android for what you are looking for.
Try asking in the General Q&A thread for further assistance: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2257421
Good luck.

[Completed] Is there any support for the phone ALCATEL POP STAR!?

I do know that this is a low end device, but I just got it as a pass over phone for a few months and I would really like to get android 6 on it.
There are some shady sites on the internet that have info about the installing, but the links are all behind a survey?
So is there any support for it?
