[Q] Note Edge with Gear S makes Battery Usage Terrible (BlueSleep problem) - Note Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello there,
I am using my Note Edge (N915FY) since 2 weeks. Nowadays I got my Gear S and sync'ed them together with bluetooth. But since them I have a very very terrible battery life on my Note Edge. Its draining very fast every 2-3 minutes 1 percentage is gone.
I looked with BetterBatteryStats and there is sth wrong with my Bluetooth services I guess. There are too much wakelocks and it prevents Deep Sleep.
This statistics is for 4 hour standby mode on Note Edge. I didnt use it, it was just in screen off position.
BlueSleep: 4h 6m
msm_serial_hs_dma: 4h 6m
msm_serial_hs_rx: 1h 56m
bluetooth timer: 34m
During this, screen time was maybe just 20 minutes or sth like that. I didn't even use my Note Edge or Gear S during the whole 4 hour.
When I turn off Bluetooth everything is fine, but after I turn it on it is again like this.
I have tried disconnec/reconnect Gear S, and the battery out&flight mode trick on my Note Edge. Nothing helped.
Please help me, how can I fix this issue?

Please, no body has got any idea? I tried the ART mode, Dalvik mode, wipe cache, wipe dalvik,...
Nothing helped me. I cannot use my Gear S. It eats my battery very very much.
I hope to get a solition here on xda.
And i really dont understand is here just me with this kind of a problem on Note edge + Gear S combinated use? Isnt here any other user with this two devices which uses with aame problem or wothout any problem?

I have the same combo. I am not seeing the battery drain you are. However, when I got my Edge last week, I noticed all my texts from my S5 all the sudden showed up on my Edge, several hundred. I did not restore messages, but when I looked at battery stats, ATT Message Backup to Cloud was using 25% of my battery. It was nice to have all my texts show up on new phone, but I DIDNT REALLY NEED IT WITH THAT DRAIN. so, I FORCE STOPPED AND DISABLED att cloud message backup, and my edge now has 40% or so after 10 hours. My Gear S is out of blue tooth range a lot due to my job, but it reconnects instantly when in range. And when out of range, it connects remotely.
So, I have the same setup as you, but ATT, and I do not experience the drain.

I have the sprint variant of the Note Edge. And I just got the LG G Watch R a few days ago. But I'm not getting any unusual battery drain.

I have the T-Mobile Note Edge and the Gear S and do not have any battery issues. However, since there is no point in having the watch connected via bluetooth all the time, my situation is different. Bluetooth is for file transfers, app installs and data syncs (S Health). Unless I am missing something, there is no other reason to have it connected via bluetooth. Unless I am using a headset, I have bluetooth disabled all the time. That is why I wish they would put a bluetooth toggle in the status drop-down.

I'm having the same issues with my Gear 2.
bluesleep, msm_serial_hs_dma, bluetooth_timer, and msm_serial_hs_rx all keeping my system from going into deep sleep. I end up with 95% awake and 5% deep sleep most days. Has anyone found any fixes?
Uninstalling all Gear related apps from Titanium fixed the problem for me, but then I can't use the Gear so that kinda defeats the purpose.

I had a similar issue.
Updated the firmware for the watch via Kies and the gear manager app. All been fine since.

I've been running latest firmware with all the updates, so that doesn't seem to be the cause for me :/

Only other major battery drain is Unified Daemon for me (that associates with the watch)

Gear2/Tizen battery stats and troubleshooting

I decided to document battery usage on my gear2 after initially running into some trouble with the battery. I bought 2 brand new gear2's and when they arrived, I connected one to my note 3, which has a custom rom, and the other to a s5, with a stock rom. I noticed right away that the gear connected to the note 3 was draning battery much faster. This is what I set out to troubleshoot.
First of all let me explain the issues I had between the note 3 and the gear2 that was causing the battery drain; these are likely due to my rom being custom. When I first attempted to pair the gear to the phone, it would say device not supported. To even get the gear paired I had to use titanium back to remove anything that was related to the gear manager or gear in general. I then reinstalled the latest gear manager apk from the samsung store. This did not go smoothly and I had to find some missing apks as well because the app kept crashing. I didn't document exactly how I got it working because I was just trying any and everything to get it working. I know for sure that I was missing samsungservice apk and that was causing the app to crash at one point.
Once I got it paired up, I noticed when I would boot the phone "sensor service stopped" would show up. Also, when I would open s health multiple "health service" and related services would say that they stopped. I had to remove each one of those services with titaniuim backup and then reinstall the latest s health and let s health reinstall the services I removed. Sounds complicated and most likely no one will even run into these issues, but I posted this just in case. Also, I left "sensor service" uninstalled and it doesn't appear that s health reinstalled it and everything is functioning without it as of right now.
As long as gear manager is functioning correctly and there are no error messages from s health and everything is updated, there should be no abnormal battery drain. The following are some scenarios that I documented to show what normal battery drain should look like.
First thing I did was charge the gear up to 100% and let it sit overnight, for 8 hours while I slept. I disabled bluetooth so it wasn't connected to the phone, I also went to recent apps and made sure all programs were closed and that all sensors were disabled; sleep, pedometer etc.. After 8 hours of this I lost a grand total of: 1%. I woke up with 99% battery after 8 hours.
Next night I charged to 100%, connected to the phone via bluetooth, and closed all apps again and made sure no sensors were active and turned of notifications. After 8 hours of sleeping I had lost 4%. I woke up at 96% battery remaining. So the idle drain of just the gear by itself while connectd to the phone via bluetooth is half a percent an hour. Not bad at all.
Next I wanted to test how Tizen behaved with its apps. I read that some were getting better battery life by closing all apps down when not in use. I wanted to test this. So I did the same exact thing from the previous night except I opened every possible app as well. So bluetooth connected, no sensors active, no notications, but I opened every possbile app to load them up in the recent apps (memory). My findings were exactly the same as when I closed all apps the night prior. I lost 4% after 8 hours. So don't close out any apps, it does nothing on Tizen.
I next wanted to test the heart rate monitor as it was the single reason I bought the watch to begin with. Results were impressive. I turned the continual heart rate monitor on, running mode under exercise, and monitored my heart rate for 30 minutes (the amount of time I usually run in the gym). I lost 2% in 30 minutes. Not bad at all!
Next I tested one of the newer features of the gear 2 which was its ability to store its own music and play it back via bluetooth. I hooked up some bluetooth headphones and played continual music for 30 minutes straight. I lost 6% in 30 minutes. Thats 12% an hour. A little more than I'm comfortable with and it doesn't even sync with google music. It works very well, but just drains battery too much. Much better to use the media controller and have the phone play all the music.
For the final test I wanted to do a day of what normal usage might be like. I had bluetooth connected all day, notifications enabled, motion enabled (wrist motion to turn screen on), brightness at 2, I sent/responded to 10 text messages, received 25 or more notifications, 4 short phone calls, didnt use any monitors at all (heart rate, sleep, pedometer). I didn't play any music either. Ended up with 72% battery at the end of the day. At that rate I could have gone for 3 and a half days without charging. NOT BAD AT ALL! My gear 1 would come nowhere near that number.
Anyway I hope this may be beneficial to people struggling with battery life or considering a gear2 purchase because Of battery life. I know for me personally, battery life is the reason I returned the gear 1.
Nice testing and information but I don't see any conclusions about why the one connected to your Note 3 had worse battery life other than its custom ROM. Did you try swapping watches to the other phone and running the same tests? Did you restore the Note 3 to stock and get those results?

Sorry I wasn't clear. I was getting drain when I first was able to get the gear connected to the note 3. The gear manager app and s health were both showing different errors and crashing though, so that was the reason for the drain. Once I fixed s health and gear manager the drain was on par with the other gear. If those 2 apps are screwed up and crashing or showing errors it will keep sending/requesting info from the gear or something which kills battery.

I downloaded the recent upgrade on my gear 2 and the battery life significantly reduced from 3 days to <24 hours! I switched off bluetooth and somehow it improved to 1.5 days. Something with the latest is caused my Note 2 to constantly ping the gear2 watch.

I have the same gear manager but I am still on the stock ND8 and am not having any issues. Maybe try to flash back to ND8 if possible. There may be an imcompatibility somewhere. NDD is made for devices of other countries, so who knows.
I am based in the Philippines. Just today I got another upgrade on my gear 2 to BNE5 and still the unusual draining continues. Must be the GM app?

Clear data on the manager app and start from scratch. If that doesn't work we may have to uninstall the app completely and start over. That's what I had to do.
Guys, have a look at this thread. Could be applicable to Samsung devices as well...

Uninstalled GM app from phone and reset gear 2 and reinstall with just stock apps. Battery is still draining and worse, S health cannot retrieve profile from samsung server.

Fixed! Deleted and reinstalled google account somehow cleaned my phone book! Now battery is draining 1% per hour!

Samsung Gear S2 3g Battery Life

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out what options would keep my battery life up on the s2 3g.
I've had the watch for a couple days now and I'm trying to figure out which features drain the most battery.
I would like to keep 3g on (but it's not really necessary when sitting at my desk all day), bluetooth, and always on. I don't mind keeping the screen at a brightness of 3, and my watch face is a dark background, I have 6 apps selected for notifications.
I do not have gps, or wifi on.
I guess what would be helpful is basically a list of the most battery draining items on the watch. It would also be great to have a battery management app (for the developers out there) that could quickly turn on/off certain items. Right now there's a battery saving mode, a do not disturb mode, and airplane mode... these are all in different locations, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to have some more quick control over all these types of items and additional ones to just manage all the battery draining items, like the pedometer and other "ometers"... is there a way to turn those items off?
Overall I love the watch, but it would be nice to not be thinking about the battery so much... and just use it.
I'm wondering the same thing. Turned it on at around 6am, have brightness set to 1. Haven't used it that much. Wake up gesture is on but not screen always on. I'm at 30% at 2:41pm....with my gear s I was able to get through a 6am-9/10pm day on auto brightness and still have a little battery left (that included a 2 mile walk in the morning using some health exercise with gear s.) I haven't even used the exercise option in this (other than the pedometer) because I'm afraid it will drain the battery.
I love everything else about the s2 though
I'm suppose to get mine this week and battery is my biggest concern. I plan to use this to run for up to 2.5 hours and play mp3's. I might cancel based on what you 2 are saying.
I do have nfc on, 3g on auto switch, and WiFi set to on (only switches on if I walk out of bt range) I did get a lot of espn notifications, texts, email...but not any more than I did on the gear S. I have the screen set to stay dark and not turn on for notifications. With my gear S I had the screen set to turn on full screen with every notification. I'm going to try tomorrow with nfc, 3g, and WiFi off....but, I shouldn't have to do that...I should be able to use all those, if needed, and still be able to get the 14-16 hours+ that I was getting with my Gear S. Like I said, I do really love everything else about it!

I had a terrible first day, with the Watch dying after 8 hours. I suspected that some of the app installs were having and draining it so I restarted both phone and watch.. The next day, I got 15 hours and still had 40 percent left. I have NFC and wifi turned off, network to autoswitch (with me leaving phone home and relying on 3g for 2 hours), turned off "always on" screen (because the wake gesture is SO much more accurate than with Gear S), and a white watchfacer with brightness set to 7. Very happy so far. Suggest restarting watch and phone after Gear app installs or updates
Thanks! I'll try that. Is your location/gps set to off? I also had s voice set to a voice commands and have now turned that off. Is a white watchface or black more draining? (I would assume white would drain the battery more)

In general I assume the first day you get the watch it his heavily impacted by the app downloads... I let it drain to zero and then fully to 100%... I also stopped playing with it every ten seconds. BUT as I mentioned earlier, this should be usable for a day minimum with normal usage. If Samsung has a "normal" usage setting in mind that will allow for a day (or the 2 days advertised for the 3g version), there should literally be an option in settings called "normal usage" that should get you the 2 days.

I absolutely agree! I was able to get 14-16 hour day (with some left) on my gear s, with all the options that I wanted turned on. This this new and improved device should, at a minimum, give me comparable battery life! I'm also having an issue with the activity tracker telling me I'm doing light activity when I'm sitting on the couch watching TV....that is definitely not light activity.

Maybe in Korea "light activity" means "couch potato"?
Yea, we'll see what happens with future updates. One of the big draws to this watch (aside from all the other enticing factors) was the battery life... I guess time will tell.

How does one get to this 'close all apps' feature?
Go to Apps and select blue circle. I think, it is last opened apps. There You can select Close all.

Was also curious about everyones setup.
First 2 days i didnt take into account battery because i was playing with it alot.
Today, booted watch at 7am, booted, got on, checked in 15 minutes, and was from 100-69%
Current setup,
display at 3%
about 10 apps that alert,
S Health
3G/4G is at auto
GPS-off
NFC-off
WiFi-off
i did have a Power Ranger face(which i loved) but it had alot livewallpaper action, blinking lights, and pieces that moved etc, changed to the default one with the stars in background with digial.
i am currently at 33% from 7 1/2 hours of usage
no music, have not taken any calls, havent responded to any messages, literally looked and swiped away.
Would a rooted Sam N4 have any effect on the performance of the watch?
I was on stock, but was horrible after the lolipop update.
Still on stock ROM, just rooted and bloatware removed, nothing special.

So first day I didn't take battery into consideration, because you always fiddle with it too much. Then I had to work for two days, and my job is heavy construction, so I don't bring my watch, I left it on the charger for two days straight. I put it on Friday night, and didn't charge it till Saturday night. Today (Sunday) I was at 15% by about 12pm, and I took it out of the charger by 9am. This doesn't seem right. Did leaving it on the charger for too long mess up my battery? What is going on here?

Were you on just 3g...instead of bt? My battery life has improved with turning a lot of the options (wifi, nfc, heartrate monitoring) off. If I'm on 3g it is a whole different story....accidentally left my phone home the other night and was remotely connected between watch and phone....dropped down 40% in less than two hours. Has anyone else had a similar issue?
I don't have the 3g model, I have the classic. Yesterday it was good for the whole day, but to be honest I didn't check the battery when I took it off the charger this morning. I went to bed at 2am,so maybe between 2 am and 9 am it didn't have time to fully charge?

I think the variant of the 3g gear s2 and your network is key for battery life.
I have a tmobile carrier gear s2 and the battery life for the first two days was at about 18 hours off the charger each day and ending up with 15% at the end of each day before charging.
Mind you this is with 3 email accounts getting maybe 10 emails per hour, Answering texts and even taking a call or two on the watch, and also controlling my spotify for my note.
The tmobile watch has auto on/off 3g for when you disconnect from bluetooth or WiFi to your phone. I've heard that not all gear s2's have the auto on/off 3g feature?
Overall highly satisfied. But just turn off what you don't need when you don't use it has always been the name of the game when it comes to any mobile battery life. Nfc doesn't need to be on if you don't use samsung pay consistently. Neither does WiFi. Bluetooth and or 3g should be all anyone really every needs for true daily usage imo

I agree. I have had the 3g version since 2 days after its launch on T-Mobile. I had a white one and returned it b/c I was convinced something was wrong with the watch. I got a second one (black one) two weeks later and have the same issue. If I turn off all of the functions I wanted the watch for -- i.e., 3g, Wifi, NFC -- I can get a day of use. This is really disappointing b/c I have the classic as well, and it lasts twice as long with the same amount of activity. I hope Samsung does not something to extend the battery life on the 3g version.
I also have the Tmobile Gear S2 and on the first full day, I only got about 10 hours of battery life with very little use using all of the watch defaults. On day 2, I opted to turn off wifi and the cell radio and now I have great battery life. In excess of 17 hours if not more. On day 3 I decided to turn on wifi and bluetooth only. Battery life is still fantastic, once again in excess of 17 hours if not more. Next test will be all three radios on again, then just the cell radio only.

What are you guys doing with your watches that you need 3g and wifi on all the time? I have mine setup with bluetooth on and 3g auto with wifi, gps, and NFC turned off. I also have the heart rate monitor turned on and set to take my heart rate as often as it will. I have screen on all day and display is at 3. I can make it a full day (630a - 10p) and still have about 40% left. I basically use mine while at work to check notifications so I'm not constantly picking up my phone just to clear a twitter notification. I know they made it so that you can use these for content consumption, but I don't think it was ever meant to be it's primary function, that's what the $700 cell phone in my pocket or the 400 tablet in my backpack is for. That being said, if you wanted to use it for a run and listen to music, do it. Just know that you may need to throw it on the charger later on when you are relaxing on the couch. To me, a full days use on any device is fair, but that's just my 2c.

Battery of Gear S3 Frontier gets exhausted within 12 hours

I had purchased a new Samsung gear S 3 Frontier model on 220-03-2017. To my dismay I find that its battery does not last even 24 hours although I have disabled" always on " feature. What may be the reason as the battery is supposed to last for 4 days as per claim made by Samsung on its website. Is there something wrong with my setting?

Mine lasts for about 48 hours, so something is wrong with yours, either the settings or the hardware. You have enabled wifi ? That's a killer.
are you using a stock watch face? or facer?
In my version of the Samsung Gear Manager, it allows me to see what has used the battery since the last full charge.
Do you not have this?
For a few recharge cycles I was only getting 24 hours on a charge but over time it's settled down and I get about 3 days now. This is with Bluetooth on and WiFi on auto. I'm also using WatchMaker for my faces.

I have disabled wi fi. Lets see whether it improves battery power.

Mine lasts 5-6 days before I put it back on the cradle to charge. I turn it OFF around 9pm (I don't wear it to track my sleep). I turn it back ON at 6am. I have the BT-only version (not LTE). I'm using a custom watch face (gk58_schwarz), Location Off, WiFi Auto, BT On, Brightness 7, AutoHR ON, S Health's Auto Detect Activity OFF, Health Nudge ON (I hate you!). I've uninstalled News Briefing (it doesn't update regularly, so it's a waste of space and resources -- although there is a new update in the UK and Germany!). All of my notifications are ON (Yahoo! Mail, GMail, Google Cards -- traffic, stocks, weather -- etc.). I get about 5-10 texts a day and I sometimes reply using my watch. I pay with Samsung Pay on my watch and sometimes, if I remember, I turn OFF NFC after paying.
At Day 5 (if I don't use it as a standalone watch to track my GPS run), I'd be at about 17-20% battery. Technically, I could go one or two more days but it'd be the weekend and I'm more active on the weekends (more runs, hikes, walks, etc.)

Is Tizen 3 Killing Your Battery?

I, like many, recently updated my Frontier to Tizen 3. While I've frequently visited this page throughout my ownership of the Gear S3 (along with almost everyone smartphone I have purchased), recently my visits haven't been as frequent until now. My Gear S3 had been doing great. My battery life was 2-3 days, and I had my watch setup just the way I wanted it.
Fast forward to a couple of days ago. Because I haven't been keeping up with the forums, I was pleasantly surprised to see a new update for my watch. Without checking the forum I downloaded and installed the new update. The first thing I notice is my battery took a big hit. No big deal right? I just put my watch on the charger thinking the update was the culprit. Once recharged I placed the watch back on my wrist and went about my day. One hour in, I check my battery life and notice my battery took a hit. I shrugged my shoulders giving the watch the benefit of the doubt. By mid day, I realized things aren't right. The new update is seriously killing my battery.
So I head on over to this forum for news and feedback on the new update. Sure enough, many of you are experiencing battery drain as well. So why create a new thread you ask? Well, I'd like to get some more detailed feedback from you all. Secondly, I'd like to bring more attention to this issue. Besides, how many of you rave about the battery life of the Gear S3? Answer the poll above/below (I can't remember where it's located since I haven't done a poll in awhile), and provide your feedback below.

I just got my Gear S3 yesterday, so I don't know anything about the other software. The battery life doesn't seem like it's going to be that good though. I lose about 10% an hour it seems, so I don't see how this an last me 2-4 days. I hope this gets fixed soon.
Uninstall all 3 apps: Samsung Gear, Samsung accessory service, Gear S plugin. Unpair from BT. Reset the watch. Then start from scratch as if you had just bought it, don't restore from backup. Worked for me.

Yes i have this problem too. It is too late to regret. We can't go back I just hope that Samsung hear this and fix as soon as possible. I just can't live with it. The battery draining is horrible
You may try to reset without restore if backup.
Without Bluetooth, wifi would consume all in a few hours. So do not use use wifi, sunce you have Bluetooth.
Unfortunelt tizen 3 has lags for me. 2.3 was nire smooth.
Also Bluetooth transfers are more slower in 3.0

After the update my battery was also terrible. I did a reset and restore then I did a reset and started from scratch. No improvement.
I saw a comment on Android Police about the update. He suggested that it's the weather app. So I reset, started from scratch and didn't update the weather app. It's only been a day but so far back to normal.
So seems it's not a Tizen 3 issue but the weather app.

It could be posible, I dont use weather at all and I have very good battery Life, similar to tizen 2. I disabled wifi and real time heart monitoring
One thing I noticed I loose now and then the bluetooth connection to gear s3 after tizen 3.0.1 update. Perhaps this causes higher battery consumption. It connects back after a while but still it happens many times a day. I sent a bug report to Samsung about this with the UE logs. Let's see what they answer... Perhaps do a clean install :/ I hope not.

Before I reset and was running the updated weather app I was using about 5% an hour and that was on a chilled Sunday with minimal usage. Today it's averaging 3.75% but that includes an hour long walk with heart monitoring, location tracking, interval timer and music to headset. Since then it's using 1-2% per hour which is about the same as pre update.
Oh and I have wifi enabled and it's fine so I don't think that's the issue.
Worth a try if you're suffering battery life issues since update.

I'm here 7.5hrs later and I'm down from 100% to 85% so about 2% per hour. Set for notifications and step/stair counter (almost to my 3 mile daily goal)... overnight i only lose 3% over an 8 hour period... I don't use it for sleep tracking anymore, nor use the weather app with its rogue updating.

2 full days on tizen3, when on 2.3 was 3/3.5 days.
Also watch lags. Was happy with 2.3, now it sucks
My watch is now 4 full days without charge and i still have 20% left, AoD is off, Bezel wake up off, Gesture off.
I feel like doing a downgrade to 2.3.2.4...is that possible? I cant take this battery drain plus that "...battery needs to cool down to charge..." bug
My battery drains because the heart rate reader is constantly running. Even if I set to disable or check every 10 minutes, it constantly reads my pulse. Heck, even if I take the watch off, the green lights are blinking. Not really sure what to do. I reset the watch and didn't do a restore, reinstalled all apps...
So yeah my watch can't go 12 hours on the new update. Took it off around 6:30 am was dead by 5 pm. This is pathetic Samsung! Before I was getting 4 or 5 days on my battery.
i got mine a couple days ago, so i did a fresh update, reset to factory, and then started from scratch. Downloaded all latest gear s apps, plugins etc.
Battery stats indicate that my watch face is using 76% of battery usage, with settings the next highest at 5%. AOD is on, so maybe it's just a battery hogging face i've been using? Been flicking between a few different ones as it's still all new and shiny.
5 hours of use and i'm down to 78%, so i wouldn't be comfortable not charging it overnight, as it wouldn't last through the next day. certainly not the 2-3 days battery life that was advertised.
Going to try some different faces, though, see if some do better for battery life.
I've done reboots, resets, uninstalled all apps on phone and then factory reset. Updating and not updating the weather app Nothing is fixing this. And it won't even record steps. I've got all the options turned off that I can (no wifi, no diagnostics, no auto heart rate etc). No reply from Samsung either but that is hardly surprising. Overheating when charging as well unless it is turned off.
It was fully charged after lunch today and only 3 hours later is down to 55%
I really like it when it works but this is ridiculous!
No problems here.
I did reset after the update, but now batterylife is the same as before. Maybe even somewhat better.
Maybe worth mentioning is that i use the S3 Classic.
Usage is after 2 hours = 2-3 %
More of a problem with the lag for me. Also auto brightness doesn't work well. Is there a way to downgrade?

Thanks, Governa. This worked for me as well, but I will say that I found out that the update on the weather app is a major issue. So after resetting the watches I did not update the weather app. Six hours after full charge, with GPS on and AOD/Heart rate monitor off, less than 2.5% an hour. Does seem to drain faster initially but levels off. Keep in mind the battery does say it is "learning your habits". I will try it for a few times from 100% to 0% and see if it changes. Hopefully it does or Samsung will be replacing it. Have both Gear S3 Classic and Frontier with Note 8.

Question Galaxy Watch4 Plugin Battery Drain

I got a Galaxy Watch for Black Friday. The watch battery life has been okay and gets me 24h battery life. But the Galazy Watch4 Plugin on my phone has been destroying my phone battery life.
I have a Pixel 6 Pro and before the watch I would end the day around 20-30% battery life. Since I got the watch I'm out of power by 9-10pm. I've tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling, also reset the watch but same issue.
I'm not really sure what else to do at this point. Everything is basically default settings, I have no idea why it's draining my phone so much.
Have the same problem with this plugin in S20FE Qualcomm. Uninstalled all plugins, galaxy wear app and restored watch to factory settings and it seems to improve the problem a little bit. Still getting 1hr less SoT than usual just for the watch. It is not good at all!
Its not showing up at all on my Pixel.

I use Bluetooth with my headphones and no problem at all. Also i've everything disable, only calls, no notifications.

Eh, not as bad as I've been getting. It was 22% drain for me the other day, another was 24%. After deleting cache and storage and reinstalling the gear app. My old fossil and the ticwatch pro 3 I had did absolutely not drain the battery like this. The other one I see is Samsung health. ~9% drain daily. Samsung needs to do something about this for sure.
FYI, pixel 6 pro. Less of a drain on my pixel 4xl though. Not great either.

The same problem exists on S22 Ultra oddly enough. You would think it wouldn't be an issue with Samsungs own devices. The plugin doesn't show on regular battery stats but gsam shows high usage for the wear app. Uninstalling "Galaxy watch4 manager" was the fix for me but means going without the cool watch. Same issue reproduced on OnePlus 10 Pro. Attached before and after screenshots of battery drain with and without the plugin
Guys, try to disable battery optimisation on all the apps related to watch, ex. wearable, plugin, etc. I had this issue with my OG galaxy watch and I read somewhere that by keeping the battery optimisation on for these apps, the phone trys to stop them but the apps switch on again and this cycle goes on resulting in battery drain, I have OnePlus and I disabled the optimisation and the battery was back on track with minimal plugin's battery usage

Bluetooth draining the battery is absolutely not the issue. I have had Galaxy watches for well over 5 years now. The app has never drained the phone until the last month. The Galaxy Watch 3 plugin is accounting for 40-60%of my battery drain on my Galaxy Pixel 6 Pro. I turned off battery optimization for the app to see if it helps. I just hope it doesn't take much usability of the app away.
I'm having the same problem to.
Didn't have this issue before.
