Sounds like the Chinese variant as these are chinese apps. Where did you order your OPO from? The only way to get rid will be to unlock the bootloader and root or flash CM11S/custom ROM. Is it currently running Cyanogen?

Strange, they look more like bloat apps than anything malicious but if it was me I would be the same and want rid of them. I would guess this was sourced from one of the Chinese websites/resellers, they advertise the phone as having CM but wouldnt be surprising if they had added some apps in there too. If you're unlocking the bootloader the phone will be automatically wiped anyway and you can clean flash 44S via fastboot or one of the pre-rooted zips from the development section.

It pretty much is unless you maybe use ADB, but you might as well start with a nice fresh install of the latest update, if that gives you the added peace of mind as well.
You can refer to @timmaaa's fastboot flashing guide (number 8) or if you unlock your boot loader and install a custom recovery you can flash a stock zip
Fastboot flash

[Q] Installing a custom ROM after official kitkat, root & unlock

I took the kitkat update some time ago now and unlocked my bootloader. I'm now about ready for a change so tried installing a custom rom through twrp but every attempt has resulted in a bootloop (m logo). I've performed a wipe as instructed on the rom threads each time so i cant understand it. Is there something special i should be doing which isnt mentioned on the rom threads?

you can only use the ones that have been updated to the KK base. im not sure which ones they are, you may want to look through them for some indication of that.
Gummy and cm11 are ready for KK. I'm running cm11 and it's pretty darn stable. Each nightly release gets better and better.

Hmm i guess that explains it as i managed to get slimkat working. So carbon rom and pacman i presume are not ready for kitkat? Really liked the sound of the carbon features so thats a bummer . I guess i'll give cm11 and gummy a try but neither really interests me in terms of features.

Acquiring root is the easy part . Just download the root exploit 'towelroot' from https://towelroot.com/ install and run from your phone. Its been a while since i did this but its just a case of clicking something and your phone will reboot after which you can install rootchecker to check you have root. Once you have root you should unlock your bootloader with motopocalypse as doing so will open up custom rom possibilities!
Edit heres a guide:

[Q] update for the Chinese version issue

Hi guys,
I bought the Chinese version for the oneplus last week. ( 64GB)
It had CM11S (44s)installed by the vendor ( third party). I'm having trouble with the OTA
Update to O5Q
When I tired at first, it starts to work for a little bit then stops and goes recovrty.
I rooted the phone and tried to do it manually , but the same problem happnend again.
I tired wiping data and wiping cache both before and after root, but it didn't help.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or is there something else I need to do?
I would really appreciate your help
Thank you
Same to me, but I've tried few methods. Try flash it by using the bootloader installation way. You may need to unlock bootloader first. I've tried it before and it's work.
Thanks my friend. I'll try.
But I still don't know why this is happening, do you?

Who knows what the vendor did to the phone before selling it to you. The first thing you need to do is check the status of your bootloader with this fastboot command:
Code:
fastboot oem device-info

there is two kind of update file.
1- for locked and stocks.
2- for unlocked before phones . (modified for dont check the signature)
search in xda to find that.
sorry for bad english
When attempting to install the OTA does your phone reset itself at the OnePlus logo? I am having almost the exact same issue (Chinese with CM11S, third party vendor, trouble with 05Q OTA)
Have a look at this https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/oneplus-one-coloros-to-cm11s-the-right-way.77361/
This apparently helps fix any issues after coming from ColorOS to CM11S.
No it starts to install the update for a little bit but it stops and goes into recovery.
Thanks for the link I will try it.
Do you know if I need to do this everytime a new update comes out, or just once?
Thanks again for the help

If you buy from China, are you buy it online via official channel? Since China haven't limited telcomm market on locked phone, and cellphone re-seller in China is uncountable. Thus, if you are not buying from official website, there is a possible that you are not even in Stock ROM - (Flash by reseller). Also, China Model is a bit different than the International, because they have cooperate with China Mobile, and it will not work the UMTS in China (It will work if you not in China). I don't know why you didn't work OTA. Just unlock oem and flash cm11.
Or http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/official-cm11s-roms-ota-updates-t2906746
they have rooted version of the CM11S. Easy to flash.
they have cm11s official using fastboot method.

Droid Mini/Ultra/Maxx SU6-7.7?

Just wondering if anyone has any insight on SU6-7.7 on the Droid line? Whether or not anyone know or hear anything about downgrading to a different SU version? I have the firmware file for the latest SU6-7.7 in case anyone wants it.

It would be nice if Motorola/Lenovo would let us do what we want with a phone they no longer "support".
Thanks, I was looking for this.

OK, since you asked...
On a Motorola phones that still have their stock, factory install intact, they do this clever thing where they cycle between a few different boot logo's, with slightly different colors in the Motorola logo on each boot.
Is there any way to replicate that after you're unlocked?

I believe that you can replace the stock boot logo with an unlocked or locked bootloader. There are a quite a few logos to choose from. When you pick one, you fastboot the image.
Oh, to answer your original question, SU6-7.7 appears to be the "terminal" KitKat release for the Droid Ultra/MAXX.
If you go to the Motorola web site you can get an earlier 2014 4.4.4 build, SU4.21 I think. I think that was the first 4.4.4, before any OTA's. This is why I was happy when you posted the more recent one.
https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/recovery-images
I've flashed both, they both seem to work just fine.
Did you have a more specific question?

To my knowledge, I don't think you can install custom roms once you install the latest SU update. Beings that you're on SU6-7.7 like me, there's not much you can do until someone comes out with another exploit.
Can I revert to su6-7 after having su6-7.7 update? I could do that after su6-7.3 update though.

Did you try downgrading directly from SU6-7.7 to SU6-7 or you went like SU6-7.7 to 7.3 to 7.2 to SU6-7?
Because for SU6-7.3 I downgraded one by one.

In case this helps anyone: I recently updated to SU6-7.7 from SU4.21 following the guidance in this thread and referenced resources on a XT1030 (Moto Mini). Initially I tried to get cute and only flashed the system image and modem upgrades; was rewarded with a bootloader loop that did not resolve after a full TWRP restore of the previous build. Next take including everything in the zip except boot.img and recovery.img as my device is unlocked and wasn't sure if flashing boot.img would relock the bootloader. Also wanted to maintain a true recovery. Everything worked fine except the WiFi radio which refused to engage (Bluetooth was ok). After a bit of fiddling dropped back to fastboot and flashed boot.img. Device restarted just fine with bootloader remaining unlocked. Whohoo! I should also note the all of the above was a 'dirty flash'. Never erased the userdata partition; all apps came back just fine. Oh yeah, had to reflash SuperSU but that's pretty standard after a system wipe.
Thanks to all the key contributors in this thread and elsewhere in the forum. After some miserable bootloops a couple years back (foolishly accepted VZW OTA) I froze the rom and vowed never to update it. It's nice to be running the terminal release of KitKat for this device which as several stability/usability features baked in along with the usual security updates (now dated but better than 2014!). I had considered CM 12.1 and CM 13 but needed fully hardware functionality that only seems to come with stock builds.
root successful

Dear i have successfully rooted mine droid mini su6-7.7 with kingo root (not global) v3.4 successfully now i have superuser app in system directory
---------- Post added at 05:42 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:20 AM ----------
Dear friends i have successfully root mini droid mini su6-7.7 with kingo root v3.4 (not kingo root global). actually i was trying to flash su4.21 over su6-7.7 with RSD lite v6.1 but failed with max get var and after that tried to flash with RSD lite 5.1 again failed without any error. after all of there method i thought of giving a try to kingo root. i downloaded 2 apps kingo root globalv4.9.7 and kingo root v3.4, kingo root global failed to root but.... kingo root v3.4 succeeded to roo. now i have superuser app in system driectory.
but problem is that after removing system app (amazon) when i restarted the phone all the apps came back and superuser app gone. i don't know why so my request to look into this method .
i have tested this method and worked 100% and i have no intention of making fun of me. i have both the apps but don't know how to upload here
Thanks

LRA ☆SM-G920R6☆ Root without tripping Knox Counter

Hi. I'm finally can root my SM-G920R6. I use the KingRoot.apk the v4.80 and root the phone. But it's not full root. Them I use the SuperSuMe.exe on my PC to remove all the KingRoot app and install the official SuperSu.apk The program install it's self. And now we can install the correct binary and reboot the device and don't lose root... ohh and my Knox still 0x0... =) XD:laugh: :victory: :highfive:
Links:
●KingRoot v4.80
●SuperSuMe. for PC
Sincerely I don't know if full root or not. But for me is working. And other things I don't know is full knox disabled. The SuperSuMe block the knox in one of the process but I don't know if is disabled at all or not.
I wish this can't help all the SM-G920R6 user. And don't want to avoid the knox warranty.
The only thing you can see is every time you BootUp your phone it say Custom.
The next thing I'm going to do is make a full backup with FlashFire app because mi firmware not appear in SamMoblie. If one Dev can make something with this backup for make custom roms or something good for this devices model.
my phone info:
Android Version : 5.0.2
Baseband : G920R6WWU1AOE4
Build Number : LRX22G.G920R6WWU1AOE4
Hardware Version : G920R6.02
I'm not a good English speaker so I apologize my errors..
P.S.
Sorry I'm not a Dev. this is my first Thread and I do this for helping.
This is a little off topic for the op but I really need help right now.. I rooted with CF autoroot for G920F no problem then installed TWRP 3.0.2-1 zeroflteusc also built for G920F model and in the process of trying to find a better rom as soon as I had a custom recovery, me (being a dumba**) accidentally wiped my internal storage to do a clean flash of a rom therefore deleting the only backup I had. I've only been able to find the factory binary for this device which I flashed but it had literally nothing exept for basic testing software and a simple ui to run it. It was also stuck on Android 5.0.2 but I found a compatible rom with AllianceROM v1 with update v2 flashed for the G920F but I can't find any way to update past 5.0.2!! I've been trying to find a way to update somehow for weeks but nothing is compatible with my device and I'm stuck. Would someone that has my model running on Android 5.1.1 or 6.0/.1 please install the TWRP I mentioned before and make a backup of the system, modem, efs, and boot and post it online or send it to me it would be a lot of help.

Because my device is G920R6 originally and i want it back the 920F rom is barely compatible with my device as is and i want a stable rom made for my build and also to enlighten others of how i rooted this phone and what custom recovery is working for me. Even on 5.0.2 and an unstable rom my battery lasts 6+ hours of constant use so root is working fine for me.
So much hate.
yeah i see now this model phone is the ugly duck....

Couple of questions about unlocking bootloader/Flashing roms

Hi Sorry for the noobie questions, but I'm about to get my mi mix 3 and this is the first time doing a lot of this stuff so I had a couple of questions. I read a few things on the forum and I see different answers to things so I'm hoping to get some things straightened out, if you could even link an article/post for me to read that'd great too.
So I read that unlocking the bootloader erases all data, which is fine cause I plan to do this first. After unlocking the bootloader and when the Global rom become available, will flashing the rom erase all the data as well?
Is there any risks to having the bootloader unlocked? If so could I lock the bootloader up once I've flashed it with the Global rom?
Thanks!

If you are on Chinese Rom and want to flash global Rom it will wipe the data.
If your phone comes with Chinese Rom you can't lock bootloader on global Rom
Never had any issues before as long as the Rom has safety net passing. If it doesn't pass you can't use banking apps.
If you lose phone and if someone sees phone is unlocked they can wipe it using fastboot etc

Oh okay so flashing a new Rom would also delete everything. I read that Chinese Roms dont have google frame work and thats why we flash the Global rom, but I've seen people say mix 3 has google frame work so is there really a need to flash to a Global rom when its available?

You can get by on the Chinese Rom with no problems.
Only downside for me is some apps have Chinese writing in them but so far that's limited to apps like music/themes/browser/Mi AI, basically anything that requires an Internet connection
The app "Google installer v3" will install Google framework and apps for you. Just remember to go into the app permissions for the contacts app and make sure they are all given otherwise it won't sync.
Other option is to unlock boot and install xiaomi eu rom when it's released

It's just delayed, it will be released when it's ready.
Maybe today when the downloads are all re-uploaded with fixes

Be nice to see a non-Chinese version of TWRP too.... that would give me a little more confidence the phone might be worth keeping.

Yes, I know, but who will put the time into them now the device is going to be obsolete in a couple of months?

It's not going to be obsolete, just going to be another variant on the market

That's my point, it's not a variant, it's a different chipset, which means different drivers, essentially a completely different device in terms of software support.

And the mix 3 standard edition will still be sold, and will still he supported.
What's the point in buying any phone when you know 6 months down the line it's going to be replaced.
EU rom is now out so weekly updates
