Anyone using a mi band with the nexus 5? - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi! I am just wondering who uses this as I have been experiencing issues with the mi band (there is no forum for the mi band). If you are using the mi band, I have found that the step counting is very inaccurate. It is saying that I walked 500 steps while I was in the car! Is it just my mi band or it is very inaccurate. Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks
(And sorry if I posted it in the wrong place!)

[Q] Nexus 5 India

Hi... I'm from India. Is it advisable to purchase nexus 5 from US in India itself? The LTE bands mentioned in both the models are not in India.
India seems to be using only band 40.
Buy from India only. It will be available soon.

[Q] Nexus 5 Verizon radio flash

I purchased a Nexus 5 and I know that it doesn't support the VZW lte band. My question is, doesn't the Nexus 5 have the same SoC as the LG G2? If so, does anyone think they can get the LG G2 radio flash for the VZW version to work on the Nexus 5 to make it work with VZW?
It may be possible but may brick your phone. But this is a message I got when I put in my Sim card. Not sure if it helps at all.

I found this and have been making posts on this thread. Someone else has the same idea, but no one has seemed to have tried it yet.

Short lived life for my nexus 5

I have had a bad experience with T-Mobile witch is causing me to sell my nexus 5 . since I have a grand father plan unlimited data T-Mobile said they don't support my nexus 5 until I change my plan to a new one with throttles. As much as I love her its up for sale. 32gb nexus 5 . just thought I'll share ..why is T-Mobile doing this !!!

FYI, I read a while ago that tmo plans to move every one off of those plans and "bring them into current pricing." Might be worth keeping the phone and just changing to a current plan. You can still get unlimited w/no throttling. I have unlimited every thing for $70 w/ no contract and I don't think anything is throttled. You would have to do it at some point, might as well look at what will work for you. Good luck!

T-Mobile still has unlimited data without throttling, why not go with that?

This. i dont understand what you mean by unsupported.
my nexus 5 works quite fine on tmobile.
How much are you selling it for?:silly:
How would T-Mobile even know what phone you are using? I mean obviously it will show on the network but I highly doubt they are flagging nexus 5 phones and making sure only some people are using them.

[Q] About the Nexus 5 forums.

I am thinking of dropping my grandfathered unlimited data from AT&T and moving to T-Mobile. Is this the forums for the T-Mobile version of the Nexus 5 or all Nexus 5's.

all nexus 5, theres no tmobile nexus 5 xda forums.
All nexus 5's are the same whether you buy it at the T-Mobile store, Sprint store, Google Play or Best Buy. All roms work, all kernels work. No need for more than one forum.

To clarify, there are 2 models of the Nexus 5. D820 for North America and D821 for Rest of the world.
Same ROMs, Same Kernels, NOT same radios.

[Q] What GSM/HSPA frequencies are supported?

I'll be switching to T-Mobile soon and wanted to use my SCH-I535 as a stopgap until the LG G3 comes out.
What GSM or hspa frequencies are supported?

Read post #3. That's about the most technical info that I recall about specific GSM radios.
That's the best info I've seen. It also confirms my experience on DTAC on the Verizon GS3 in Thailand. They use 1800 GSM & 850/2100 HSPA.
I guess I'll be rough'n it until I find my next phone.

That's great! I've wanted to use my S3 for the next time I travel abroad but I haven't found my way away from the states yet in over a year. Glad I could help out a bit.
