I recently visited Xperia SP android development page and a user bagyusz has ported cm11 and 12 for locked bootloader! Even the kernel is 3.4.x. So I was wondering whether it could be done for our device too???

I have Xperia Miro I want to upgrade it to kitkat but officially it haven't been released for Xperia miro so what i have to do to get my miro upgraded
Hi @Jayesh4all
Since there isn't an official Kitkat update for your device released, your only resort is to use custom firmware. It seems there are Alpha Cyanogenmod 11 builds for this device.
What is Cyanogenmod?
Code:
CyanogenMod is an aftermarket firmware for a number of cell phones based on the open-source Android operating system. It offers features not found in the official Android based firmwares of vendors.
CyanogenMod is based of AOSP and is the closest you'll come to stock Android. Bear in mind that this build is still in Alpha stages and will be buggy.
This is the only way you can use Android KitKat on you Xperia Miro.
Cheers!
Really helpful

thanks alot for your help
so which would be better for now Kitkat or Jelly bean and if i update to jelly bean will i be able to upgrade to kilkat in future ??
This: {MIRO/TIPO/J/E}[DEVELOPMENT] - CM10 - FreeXperia Project seems to be the least buggy CyanogenMod build. Yes there is a good chance that they resolve the bugs for the CM11 ( Kitkat ) build and make it fully usable.
Cheers!
CyanogenMod for android devices.... pls note that its under experimental. So be Careful
Here is the link for the rom http://download.cyanogenmod.org/get/jenkins/98090/cm-11-20150112-NIGHTLY-sprout.zip

Hi,
Good news for us :
Sony was published an AOSP Binary of 5.1,
Could we will view an custom Rom (CM12, Omnirom 5 or AOSP 5) with this ???
Link of binaries :

So cool if there are an answer of camera !!!
Hi all, I've been having a little hunt around for info on building AOSP 5.1 lollipop for xperia M2 aqua but have only found info and commits, device specifics etc for all other xperia devices apart from the M2 aqua so i'm now at a standstill 'cos I can't work out what's what. From what i've read the M2 aqua's codename is seahawk but the closest in name I found on the sonymobile developer site is seagull and there's no mention or info on seahawk! The only stuff I see on the sony dev site are for the following - amami aries castor eagle flamingo honami leo rhine scorpion seagull shinano sirius tianchi togari yukon , does anyone know where I should be looking or what to use to build 5.1 for m2 aqua? Once I've found the info i'd be willing to set up and build a 5.1 AOSP rom for the device as there isn't much out there for it. Many thanks in advance.
Build it from Eagle branch, that's the original M2
Would that work properly? Reason I ask is 'cos I asked in the Freexperia project thread if their rom can be used as it's a pre built 5.1 from AOSP sources but the message I got back is that it doesn't work on the M2 Aqua and they have an Eagle compiled rom in their lists! I don't fancy spending all that time installing linux, downloading the files etc and then compiling etc just to find out that the Eagle sources don't work.
Hi,
I'm desparately looking for the 12.1 Cyanogen Mod for the M4 (or another Android 5 mod that works).
Since androidfiles been taken down and on the Cyanogen Mod page they only have 11.1 available I want to ask if somebody here has the 12.1 Mod still available and would be willing to upload or send it to me. Would be very much appreciated since I lost it but urgently need it for my M4.
[ROM][15/07/16][LP][5.1.1] CyanogenMod 12.1 for One Mini (M4) - CM12.1 Kernel
CyanogenMod is a free, community built distribution of Android 5.1 (Lollipop) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone. Here is unofficials builds of CyanogenMod 12.1 for HTC One Mini (m4). How to get this ? You need the last .zip...

If it involves Androidfilehost, then the link works and the file downloads. You have to patiently refresh the page if AFH does not find the mirror.
