Since the shield and the ouya and similar hardware, would it be possible to get the o - Shield Q&A

Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Free mobile app

I typed that in the wrong place lol. I'm curious f since the oiya and the shield have some similar hardware if it would be possible to get the ouya to appear as the shield to Netflix therefore being able to stream in HD?

[Q] ps3 remote

Any way to connect a ps3 remote and play GTA without buying any apps to do so ?
Try sixaxis, costs about $1,50. Use the free compatibility check app first. Not going to work without a controller ui/app

I was thinking something more like some commands in the terminal emulator. ?
I think there are also certain drivers needed here.

Run runescspe on galaxy note?

I've heard that there is a way to run it on android help?

You can't run runescape on a device...
The first reason is : Runescape supports HTML5 wat your device don't have..
The second reason : Even if it worked it would lagg as hell and the screen resolution isn't even compatible.

Chromebook

Are these things worth it. From what I understand is they can't be used offline? So are you expected to always be on wifi? Can you develop on them. For example can you develop android on them or web development?
Do not think you can develop on them and I think you have to be connected to wifi

What TV Control Options?

Thinking on getting rid of my Note 3 and getting the M8. I wanted to know if it has the ability to change the source on a TV and navigate through the menus with arrow/enter buttons or something? Also, can you control it from the notification shade? See the attached pictures of what the Note 3 has.
Thanks!

Yes it controls my Samsung plasma and led TV. Input controls all work. No on the notifications screen.
It does have a feature for the notification pull down. IMO, the HTC remote app is far superior to that of Samsung's watch on.

LOL Yes, it does. And a very cool HTC TV app to control it. I find it funny this is now a huge deal...I remember doing this with my OLD Palm Treo 650 back in the day...and then the backlash for a long time on how an IR blaster is useless yada yada and phone companies got rid of them basically and now it has come full circle.
Also funny, off point, with all the tablets/swivel screens/fold back laptops/tablets now are the rage. I remember back in 2003 my company bought a bunch of these Toshiba Protégé laptops, which apparently was a decade ahead of it's time as those things never took off.
This is true , I have both phones gn3 and m8 ,but tv remote on m8 is for more superior to gn3 . Controls my fios Motorola eve,Samsung smart tv and Sony surround sound . Like a champ

The tv app on the M8 is loads better than watch on, on my S4. Better range as well. It pulls all the channels from direct tv.. kinda like the Netflix layout. The volume rockers control volume on tv and you don't have to move from the attached screenshot to select channels. So, you can go to a particular channel and not have to " go back" to continue browsing...I'm actually using this. Every time I think this device couldn't get better, something pops out lol. Love it.

Any remote control apps that support android boxes?

Anyone know of any remote apps that let you control a android TV box from your phone with the ir plaster? I have a cs918plus btw.

There's a new one requiring root here on xda, android, apps.... I can't find it tight now.. But it might cast your touches to the other android device...
Not sure how it really works and suspect all devices will require root and the app

The app is called Webkey. Let's you control the Android device from another computer's Web browser. Requires root.
