[Q] Unable to download 4.4.4 Stock ROM - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am trying to go back to 4.4.4 from 5.0 but I can't download the ROM from google. It gets to 32MB and then stops no matter what I do, does anyone have a solution or a mirror to the stock 4.4.4 ROM for my nexus 5?

Stock Nexus 7 2013 WiFi ROM KOT49H Android 4.4.2

Hi,
I'm using only stock rom, rooted and with xposed mods on my Nexus devices. Because of trying some things out, I want to have a stock rom update.zip from the latest Factory Image on my device to have the security to flash it back to stock without a computer.
So, I've managed with some help this update.zip. It's absolutely pure stock. Not rooted, not deodexed or anything else (to root, there is a link below)
I think, some of you are thinking the same and so I want to share this update zip. I hope you have fun with it.
It works with CWM and TWRP Recovery!

Hi, i understand. Razor or flo?
vía n7II r-paco
Is this flo?
Razor is the codename and flo the productname of Nexus 7 2013 Wi-Fi model.
So it's both. Razor and flo ?

Nope, just the ROM itself, meaning no stock recovery or anything else you'd get by flashing the stock image

[Q]Does anyone have a CWM flashable 5.0.1 ota or stock ROM or know how I can make one

Title says it all. I really don't feel like running the stock img since I don't have my own PC right now. Please let me know. Thanks.

No. OTA no longer will apply if you have custom recovery.
Download an existing full stock flashable ROM.zip
That's what I was talking about. I can't seem to find a 5.0.1 full flashable zip anywhere.

Might need to wait a day or so...
Yeah just wait a few days. Some one will post up a stock rooted zip that you can probably flash over what you have now in a few days

If you have a custom recovery you could flash a custom Rom. Look for the stock Rom by vomer in the development forum. Or you can flash the factory image with fastboot. See the sticky rollup thread in the general forum. In there you'll find a guide to flash the factory image

Going back to 4.4

Phone is s-off, did the firmware update and then flashed a 5.0 Rom. If I want to go back to a Kit Kat Rom what is the process? Can I just wrote and then restore my kit Kat android? Then wipe and install new Rom? Or do I need to run RUU for kit Kat?

The 5 bootloader should be fine with a KK rom. I went back to 4.4 CleanROM with no problems. I did format /data in TWRP though before reflashing the KK rom
Thanks. Thinking about going to CleanRom 3.0 after being unable to find the cause of the issue I am having.

So should i install lollipop again and then marshmallow on it?
Will it erase my data?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
During the period of the 3 developer previews I read several times that there is no upgrade path from the preview to the final version and that the only way of getting a stable Marshmallow system is to do a clean flash as ldubs suggests. Yes, it will erase your data, so back it all up on your PC. There is no need to install Lollipop first.
