AICPAndroid Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

You tell...
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Oreo. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes
CHANGES (READ THIS BEFORE FLASHING!):
=====================================
YES. Starting with June 14th, 2017, AICP is going to build rootless builds.
This change will happen during a short period of time.
I could explain the decision for that,
but that would not be understandable for all users, so i put it this way...
Going rootless means that the ROM will NOT come with any Root or SU built in anymore.
There will be no Magisk - as a buildin root solution - be provided when the user flashes the ROM zip file.
What you will have to do (If you don't do it by now):
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
IMPORTANT: Uninstall Magisk (using inbuilt Uninstaller) BEFORE booting to recovery, then flash ROM.zp + Magisk 13.0 Beta or LaOS Addon SU or SuperSU)
Then follow the instructions below..
You will have to flash a root solution of your choice (lineage-su addon, SuperSU or Magisk) by yourself after the ROM.
I will link the appropriate solutions here in this post.
REMEMBER:
First flash the ROM, then your desired root solution!
This MUST also be done on every dirty flash to ensure root is not lost!
This MUST be done, when using the OTA app too! Just add the "root" zipfile after the ROM!
What will be noticeable to the user:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. We had to cut out some features for getting this done. Those are:
a. The SELinux switch in the dev options is gone for now.
This can also be done by other apps, if necessary.
b. The feature to flash another bootanimation from AICP Extras is gone.
You can still use a flashable ZIP from TWRP or Substratum.
c. The builtin logcat feature in AICP Extras will be gone.
Most users did not use it either as it only can store max. 400KB.
We already advised to use Catlog or Syslog Apps (both free on Play store).
Remember that both need root!
d. The builtin "System app remover" will be gone, as it required root to run.
2. You will, of course, not see Magisk Manager in the app folder, of course.
3. Remember that without a root solution some other apps e.g. Kernel Audiutor will also not work.
Whatever you choose. Lineage SU options are in dev options in settings. The others use separate Apps.
Links to tested root solutions (download from the thread):
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Magisk (remember that v12 need the Manager to be flashed separately. v13 will have it buildin the flashable ZIP:
Magisk
Magisk 13.0 beta
SuperSU (Use whatever works for you, stable or beta):
SuperSU XDA Thread
SuperSU
Lineage SU-addon (check your needed version 14.1 arm or arm64!):
LineageOS Addon Su
-> the removal zip is available here too.
KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows LineageOS source with no custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.
Our kernel is on Enforcing SELinux mode.
We have several reports that AICP doesn't boot on MultiROM as secondary due to SELinux.
You can download current kernel for relevant device (deb / flo) from the link given below.
These are flashable zips and please flash it right after AICP while you are flashing on MultiROM.
SELinux is set to Permissive for these kernels so you will be able to boot as secondary ROM.
I'll keep providing these kernels till we fix the issue with SELinux and MultiROM.
Fantastic ROM as always @semdoc one odd issue, for some reason if I have fb messenger installed and I plug the tab in to charge the com.Facebook.orca process spikes the CPU to 100% as soon as the screen is of... I confirmed by running top through adb shell... No idea how to debug this. Uninstalled and all is well but it does the same thing on my N6.
Never noticed. But will watch...
Btw, I'll add soon native support for F2FS to regular builds - for /data & /cache for now...
You'll need compatible recovery and installer script will detect during installation your partition's file system...
Good it will give me time to backup data lol.
Running my deb on F2FS for /data and /cache.
** First I installed with Flashify TWRP 2..8.5.0 - not via Fastboot method... When I flashed TWRP via fastboot method I lost mobile data.. Then I flashed with flashify and now all is fine.
** Did Wipa Data (It will ask to type you "yes" be'coz It will delete everything in your sdcard.
** Formatted data and cache to F2FS. (REcovery->Wipe->Advanced Wipe->Change FileSystem)
**Reboot to recovery. (otherwiğse you won't be able to copy anythng to your Sdcard)
** Copyed ROM.zip & GAPPS.zip to my sdcard. No need for special GAPPS.
** Flashed. Booted. All is fine.
@eyosen tested same on flo. He's running well AIPC on F2FS.
@semdoc I've googles about F2FS,but can you still on the surface is there any clear cut difference of performance between EXT and F2FS partition format on our device Nexus 7 2013? @eyosen Oh I see you have a flo,so any difference?
Sent from my Resurrected flo powered by elemental x and kanged by by Xposed.
FAQ
The Music app crashes every time I open it
There seems to be something causing corruption in the Media album art database. Clearing the data of the "Media Storage" application and rebooting should fix it.
To clear data, go to: Settings -> Apps -> All -> Media Storage -> Clear Data. Then reboot.
Login with Google does not work in some apps
Sometimes, on a fresh wipe, the phone language will be set to an invalid language. Changing it to a valid one from Settings should fix the issue.
Battery Statistics shows that Wi-Fi is always on even though I've turned it off.
If you are using "scanning always available" in Advanced Wi-Fi Settings, then Wi-Fi will always be on to scan for available network to aid location discovery.
After installing, my storage was reduced from 8 GB to 4 GB
You only have 4 GB for user data in the first place. The other 4 GB is used by system files. This is the same with stock as well. However, stock might have displayed it as "8 GB with 4 GB used by system files", but AOSP-based ROMs will only display the space available for user data.
Can you include S-Note/S-Planner/MultiWindow/Insert Samsung App Here?
No. This is an AOSP ROM and cannot have TouchWiz applications.
Can you add Feature X to the stock ROM?
No. I don't work on stock ROMs.
What kernel does this ROM use?
A slightly modified version of the stock kernel, the source code is linked above.
I've heard that Broadcom doesn't release source, how can you make this ROM?
Contrary to the popular belief, userspace driver source code is not always required to make an AOSP-based ROM as long as the proprietary binaries shipped with the device does not modify the API too heavily (or is from a very different version of Android). Instead of modifying the source code of the drivers, the Android source code was adapted to be able to use the proprietary binaries.
Can contacts be saved to phone/SIM?
No. It is not supported in AOSP-based ROMs.
Can I send files over Wi-Fi Direct?
Yes, but you must use third-party applications. The implementation provided on Samsung ROMs is not an open standard. AOSP/CM does not provide a native way to send files over Wi-Fi Direct.
Can I mirror your ROM?
You're free to, but I will not list it in main post.
REPORTING BUGS
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.
AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known as Android Ice Cold Project, which started on the HTC Desire HD. Since then many features and tweaks have been added to the ROM. Until Android Lollipop AICP has been AOKP based. Since AOKP stopped the development, we switched the base to CyanogenMod. This ROM is always based on the latest code of CyanogenMod 14.1. AICP is one of the most highly customizable roms that you can install on your mobile device. Some of our devices are being built as nightlys and some as weeklys. Please don't complain or ask for ETA, if there is no update.
All bugs, which CyanogenMod gave us
ROMs should contain everything you need to enjoy Nougat. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, Google Apps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Install latest TWRP/CWM/Philz recovery on your device.
Make a backup of your current ROM.
Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik.
Flash ROM.zip and Googleapps.zip.
Reboot system and setup!
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.
If you want to contribute to the AICP or wanna see what is being worked on/merge feel free to visit our gerrit, link is at the bottom!!!
Thanks for your efforts to provide us with a working AICP 12.1 ROM (even Nightly!)
boot.img currently seems to be inspired by tilaksidduram's, (at least according to what you say in his google+ thread).
Also, he has provided some advice while setting up this AICP ROM.
Maybe some tribute to him would be appropriate in the OP?
Anyway, thanks again
Why spread something that does not work, for the third time? Not working relationship, wi-fi, sound, and I can not go to the external memory card.
Hello!
As a workaround you can use the Download app to access your SD card. I was able to install Titanium Backup from there. You could try to install another file explorer from there as well see if it works.
Hi again,
Here's a new bug : can't access Developer options. It shows a black screen.
Also, if anyone is interested in multiROM with AICP 11.0 and AICP 12.1, I managed to install both ROMs using a workaround with the method from Tilak Sidduram on Google+. It's working great so far. If anyone is interested I wrote a tutorial, but I'm not sure if it's relevant to post it here...
[EDIT] You can find the tutorial a few posts ahead.
You asked for it, there it is! The tutorial isn't too complex, but it can take some time. Make sure to have an hour, depending on the amount of data to back up.
Modified version of Tilak's tutorial for multiROM, to make AICP 11.0 and 12.1 work together. Original version : https://plus.google.com/108321221872633034471/posts/XmthQRP7jMX
What we’re about to do :
Tilak’s method didn’t work for me. The recovery wouldn’t install AICP 12.0 and would show an error. You can try his first. If it works, make sure to tell me so I can mention it here.
I found a workaround which is explained in this tutorial. The trick is to install AICP 12.1 as the primary system and then move it to secondaries with the TWRP multiROM recovery. You will not loose any data, thanks to a nandroid backup.
Please check that you have enough space on your phone or SD card to store a full nandroid backup and the required files. Also, make sure to charge up your phone.
Assuming you're running AICP 11.0 with the latest version of the official TWRP recovery for Note 2.
Prequisites :
-Download the latest TWRP multiROM custom recovery, the multiROM zip and the multiROM uninstaller zip from here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=125030 (link in Tilak’s original post) and place the files on your phone or SD card.
-Download the latest AICP 12.0 nightly and place the files on your phone or SD card.
Ready ? Let’s go !
-Boot into TWRP
-Make a full nandroid backup of your current AICP 11.0 system
-Wipe Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache and System
-According to Trafalgar Square : Flash ROM & GApps (the latest nightly release of AICP 12.1)
-Boot
-Reboot to Recovery
-Flash Boot.img via TWRP (on the boot partition of course)
-Reboot
-Have fun (not yet)
-Instead of having fun : reboot into recovery
-According to Tilak : Flash the TWRP multiROM recovery zip
-Then flash the multiROM zip
-Reboot without wiping Cache and Dalvik Cache
The multiROM boot screen should show up. It’s where you’ll be able to select the system you want to boot on.
-Reboot into recovery. The recovery should now be the TWRP multiROM one that you just flashed.
-Go to the multiROM by clicking the hamburger button on the top right corner of the screen
-Go to Swap ROMs
-Select Move primary ROM to secondaries. You can change the new ROM’s name if you want to.
-Go back to the main menu and restore your AICP 11.0 backup. It will be restored as primary system.
-Now you can have fun !
Make sure to take a look at the multiROM boot screen settings in the multiROM menu in the recovery. You can disable auto boot or adjust the auto boot delay for example.
According to Trafalgar Square : Flash the Boot.img, if you update the ROM.
If you want to go back and uninstall multiROM :
Simply flash the multiROM uninstaller ZIP in the recovery. This will wipe your secondary system, that is to say AICP 12.0.
If you want to, you can flash the official img file of the TWRP recovery if you don't plan to use multiROM in the future. You can get the latest version here : https://dl.twrp.me/t03g/
Before flashing, make sure to choose the recovery partition as a destination.
If you want to update AICP 12.0
Do not use OTA. I think it won't work as SuperSU binary updates via TWRP don't (the phone reboots into recovery and doesn't start the installation process).
Simply download the latest release of AICP 12.0, place it in your phone or SD card and flash it through the multiROM menu in TWRP, in the listROMs options.
I haven't tried this yet, but it's likely to work.
Hope this helps!
AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD in 2012 and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (Lineage) we are now Lineage based with some tweaks from AOSP.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or the Lineage team will if it concerns their code base. This ROM isn't Lineage supported, so no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Oreo. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
0. Real recovery is recommended, it has been reported though that FOTA recovery might work too. There are issues with reboot to recovery with some recoveries (the TWRP linked here seems to work fine for me)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
7. Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 should not require flash on every dirty flash.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash using the built-in OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use other recoveries and OTA app, but you will need to download the zip file and flash it manually from within your recovery. The Zipfile gets saved in the "aicp_ota" folder on your internal storage.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery. Keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
Really good news! Thank You!
New update (20180228_1042) is out!
Changelog:
- Timekeep working again
- Mobile internet fixed (now it takes a little longer to detect the SIM card though, so be patient after booting up your device)
- GPS fixed (probably)
Remaining issues:
- Inbuilt camera app not working
- Video recording broken
- Sepolicy
- Potentially everything that hasn't been tested yet, please report issues that aren't listed!
Enjoy!
Firmware liked!
Opinion
I also found some bugs. Sometimes when you lock the screen, it may not turn on the power button. And if you support it, the screen turns on. And also slows down in some areas of the animation.
My verdict: the Firmware is very good, but there are shortcomings. Please do not give up and continue to make new builds for us, because if you give up, no one will care about our phone. Thanks! :good:
I uploaded another build (20180228_1748) with some fixes and added a reserved post for changelog.
Latest build fixes some background services and adds Snap camera, which has working back but broken front camera. Switching to front camera will make it crash and you'll have to clear its data to use it again!
lovely
@SpiritCroc : thanks for your efforts on this! Have been quite amazed with my old trusty z1c on your AICP 12.1 builds and managing 10+ days idling on one charge with a new battery. I hope AICP 13. will help returning my z1c to being my daily driver.
Do you or AICP in general also keep your eyes out on possibly supporting zx2c4 's WireGuard (zx2c4 instructions) into your future builds? Have been very pleased using this on all my linux systems.
Also, I just flashed AICP-o8.1_amami_20180228_1748.zip with LineageOS' 14.1 addonsu-arm-signed.zip (2017-06-21) and this got me working root in ADB. Haven't tested apps yet though.
Root access in ADB is also possible without flashing the addon. Just enable root access --> ADB only in developer options.
Then the following results:
Code:
$ adb root
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
restarting adbd as root
$ adb shell
amami:/ #
amami:/ # whoami
root
Don't know if you know that
Update (20180302_1718):
- Fix wrong hardware key settings showing
- Fix front camera crash
- Fix screenrecord and other possible media issues
Oops, I should have figured that. Nevermind, thanks, you're right indeed!
@SpiritCroc Thanks for the info!
How was the battery drain in AICP 12.1? I'm coming from @munjeni's Lineage 14.1. And there the battery last some days. (Without doing much...)
Now the battery gets empty very fast, at least for me (on two different Z1C's...).
I'm looking for a good app to log the drainage and wakelocks. Are there any good (free) suggestions?
Battery drain with AICP 12.1 was very low/good. Got 10+ days (estimated), idle in flight mode. Never actually used it much as development stopped in favor of 13.1 so not a real usage number. With AICP-o8.1_amami_20180302_1718.zip I get ~48 hours according to battery estimations.
Tested this ROM and works fine. If you want Sony Based Camera in this rom, just download the port. It's for Nougat, but works with Oreo. (Video recording not working, but the developer is going to fix this issue). Also, you can flash Sony Apps Enabler, and you can install Sony Xperia Apps.
Camera: https://forum.xda-developers.com/cr...port-stock-camera-nougat-roms-t3628791/page49
Sony Apps Enabler: https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...-sony-apps-enabler-install-sony-apps-t3590477
Edit: Can't access to the Recovery. Orange LED appear , and after 5 second the phone is restarting.
I also tested the rom a little bit and so far so very good.
Bugs I found:
- video recording shows an error message
- sepolicy: when I set it to strict, I got the message that Magisk closed. After restart I have not got the message again. Maybe because of the question for superUser access.
@roland080: I can enter recovery via hardware button and via advanced start options(enabled in developer settings).
I am on aicp 12.1 . The ROM is great. Can I switch to this ROM with my kernel and twrp that is running on 12.1 and just flash the zip and gapps?
AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP, for Android Pie we based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP), and now for Android 10 we are fully based on AOSP.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.
Test builds: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=302281
NOTE: Test builds are often those builds that I use personally. They tend to include open patches from our gerrit, and some additional changes documented here.
Please note that official builds will be deleted from our servers every month due to maintenance services.
We advise everyone to keep at least the latest or best working build on their device as a backup.
Maybe copy it to a cloud service or USB too.
FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look here to see what day your device is built on.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP. Custom ROMs modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROMs. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterwards.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.)
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android 10. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)
0. Real recovery is recommended, it has been reported though that FOTA recovery might work too. There are issues with reboot to recovery with some recoveries (the TWRP linked here seems to work fine for me)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, and Data (you might need to format the data partition!).
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
7. Reboot your device.
The procedure may vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 17.2 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be fine.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
TWRP recovery is needed to be able to flash using the built-in OTA app.
Please make sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery, keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.
Thank for this new ROM.
My remarks are ofc no complaints, only hints for other testers
Today I flashed AICP-q10.0_amami_20191118_1126.zip.
1. At every boot I get an error window:
"Android System: There is an internal problem with your phone."
2. With Magisk 20.1 I have root but the SafetyNet state is red
3. I flashed magisk-riru-core-v19.5.zip, but after flashing magisk-EdXposed-YAHFA-v0.4.5.1_beta.4463.-release.zip the phone does
no longer boot I had no time to search for a solution.
4. ExSDCard Access Enabler v3.5 is working, BusyBox for Android NDK v1.31.1 too.
5. I flashed a GAPPS (I found no other version) from here
https://www.cyanogenmods.org/downloads/nano-opengapps-for-android-10-arm32/
I could login at Google but I cannot download/sync my contacts or app updates.
The Playstore shows that the device is not certificated.
6: Camera is working but I found no possibility to store the pictures to the extSDCard.
Thank you very much for your work. It's excellent.
3. I flashed magisk-riru-core-v19.5.zip, but after flashing magisk-EdXposed-YAHFA-v0.4.5.1_beta.4463.-release.zip the phone does
no longer boot I had no time to search for a solution.
hi
Camera button wake device not working.
Bluetooth find other phone but can't connected.
problem when I want to unlock the screen.
magisk 20.1 good worked.
gapp beta good worked.
Thank you for your work.
I pushed a new build since it's been some time since the last one (I've been quite busy with other things recently...).
There shouldn't be many changes from the device side, but there should be some updates and fixes to the framework which some of you might be interested in.
wi-fi does not work, without a SIM card can not connect to update over wi-fi.
Thank you very much.
1. Magisk SafetyNet-status is red
2. Google Play store: play protect-certificate is not certified.
I flashed ROM, GAPPS and Magisk several times (wiped all ofc).
The rest seams to be ok but I will continue only if these two problems are solved.
New build is up.
- Sony logo fixed
- enforcing sepolicy
- Fix for TWRP time included
Sorry, problem was homemade
After a fresh installation (wipe all) it looks very good until now.
awesome
you keep this nice little phone alive
I've upgraded to AICP 15 and it's very stable, no problem until now, everything is working fine.
I think the battery is eaten a slighter more quickly than with AICP 14, but maybe I've not done a full setup of all the settings as it was in the previous version.
I just noticed a very very very small issue : the battery status of the BT device isn't shown (the parameter is correctly set).
Thanks a lot for all the work! :good:
Hi there, 2 questions if you dont mind hehe
1- About battery, which one has better performance, aicp android 7, 9 or 10 ?
2- Does anybody have the aicp android 7 ROM ?
Hy!
Wou, excelent work, it is great! Battery live in my Z1C is more better then Android 9, about 35 - 40 % better.
Official builds have started
Since I forgot to write here and some might have missed it: official AICP 15.0 builds have started for amami
(thanks to @tramp20 for reminding me)
It worked but every app (incl. system ) needed 2-3 sec to start
So I did a full wipe and installed all again (ROM, Gapps, Magisk, Edxposed etc).
We have now Official State.
You can just simple dirty flash the upcomming WEEKLY build and then you can install via OTA app.
not sure, if you can pass SafetyNet otherwise you should hide with Magisk - but I I've not tested this.
I've found a bug!
When I activate developer options, phone gets into a bootloop and it's unusable unless you make a factory reset on TWRP. I have the latest firmware and TWRP, I'm S-OFF and my GApps are the mini package. I love this ROM, so I've decided to power off my M7 and wait until it becomes stable.
Good work!
