Ota patches a lot of system files despite a little size
So, if someone makes flashable zip it will look like a ROM based on stock 4.4.2
I doubt if somebody will do this
I would say make yourself a flashable zip with recovery.
Install Stock patch it to latest update, Backup.......voila.
Hi All,
Does anyone happen to have or able to make a flashable zip for the latest firmware?
Just wondering if the Lolipop update brings any updates to the baseband radio and bootloader etc?
If so - anyone know if there is a way to upgrade these without OTA or Flashtool upgrade, I'm using Rooted LB and will need to use a pre-rooted FTF

There is no such thing as a pre-rooted FTF
What you need is a flashable zip and there are plenty in the development section
Sorry, pre-rooted created from FTF
either way OP still unanswered.
I'm trying to find the a flashable latest rootable rom for my Z3. any help would be nice.
As I'm trying to install this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/development/rom-existenz-y-1-0-0-02-07-t3148877
I'm using a Z3 Dual (D6633)
I saw this while im surfing in xda http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/recovery-root-mm-575-291-lb-t3435214
But i need to know this...
Im in .291 build right now. But this post tells "if you are on .291 flash .575 kernel". Is that ok? Flashing a different build number kernal ? will it work or will it ruin my phone?
Quite Easy, just follow these steps and download some files;
1. Download D6633_23.0.F.1.74 Kitkat firmware and flash via flashtool,
2. Then download GIEFROOT ROOT and root Kitkat with GIEFROOT,
3. Download XZ DUAL RECOVERY for Z3, and Install recovery via PC,
4. After installing recovery, download flashable .291 MM Update and flash it through recovery!!!
5. Hurrah!!! Enjoy the newly rooted device!!!
*Search on XDA for necessary file or, ask me.
I think flasing prerooted rom is more easy.
