SAM G955U (T-Mobile) USA SQU1AQGA

Hello got this phone as a present from a relative in the US, myself lives in Sweden.
Problem is that the phone hasnt any Swedish launguage, & 3 of 4 operators work the last one (Telia) wont work why i dont know.
Tried different sim cards from same operator doesnt work but alla other operators do, and im using that operator that isnt working =(.
So i started reading about ROM & flash etc thought maybe if i could flash it these two problems gets solved. Get Swedish aunguage in it and get rid of that operator problem.
But when im searching for any firmware that is compatible with my model cant find one for Scandinavia or Sweden.
Now im not an expert in these things tbh i suck and found out this forum & hoping for some help from you guys.
Would appreciate it thnx in advance.

Google Fi Pixel 4a Unlocked 'No service' issue

Hi guys!
Originally I got it from the US to Israel and it initially didn't work when I migrated the local sim from my other Pixel 2.
Initially the P4A had Android 11 build (RP1A.200720.011, Sep 2020, All carriers except EMEA and SG) - Since Israel counts as EMEA I thought this was the issue -
After unlocking and flashing the Android 10 build (QD4A.200805.003, Aug 2020) but still couldn't make the Network to work
The phone recognise the network name but can't connect to any network and I experience 'No service'
Other solutions online (Pixel codes, change the network type etc) didn't help as well
I wonder if anyone from Europe is experiencing this issue with phone from the US or is it working and I may have a faulty P4A?
Would appreciate any help!
Thanks!
Could it be "RP1A.200720.011, Sep 2020, All carriers except EMEA and SG", the Pixel 4a physically is missing the bands you need; a hardware not a software issue ?
I know the Pixel 4a does not support 5G, since 5G is in the early days I really do not care much, but if the device has support for the LTE bands in your region why not turn them on ?
Sorry not much of a help, maybe you will find somebody from Israel that can help more than me ?
This page has a link for android 11 for the EMEA and SG carriers. It sounds like that's what you need, I don't have any experience specifically that would help though. good luck.
I also have this issue. I am a huge fan of Google Pixels. Been
using Google phones since Nexus 4 till date. Lately, I'm in Nigeria, I have this Pixel
4a got it from the US. When
insert my SIM it says NO
SERVICE. think it might be a Fi phone. Pls help me
Hi, I have the same issue. Bought it from Germany and using it in Romania. I can see the carrier in settings but no service. Anyone can help? Thanks!
Have the same issue, problem is well known for Google.
Support told me to wait for the december update
Pixel with Israeli Carriers
Are you having the Issue only with FI?
I'm using a 4a with the Israeli networks without any issues.
still have the no service issue after the December update.
Any one still has the issue?
Hello everyone There is also a problem with the network, the connection periodically disappears, the phone does not see the SIM card. I bought the phone in the USA, I use it in Russia. I wrote to Google support, issued a repair order, sent it a week ago.

Change "Software" of a Galaxy S10e from Italy to work in Scandinavia

Hello,
I'm from Germany and bought a Samsung S10E at a Germany Refurbisher. I used it for several months without problems in Germany, Austria and Italy. When I went to Denmark, Norway and Sweden, it stopped working with the message "SIM 1 is not allowed".
The SIM-card doesn't matter - so the message was confusing. After contacting Samsung support and giving them my IMEI, the said it's a phone with italian software. This is, why it didn't work in Scandinavia.
So my questions:
- What do they mean exactly with "italian software"? Because I flashed LineageOS.
- Can I change the software myself in any way, that my phone will also work with my German SIM card in Scandinavia?
Thx so far!

S21 Ultra 5G (SM-G998B/DS) - UK Purchased - Moved to Hong Kong - No 5G.

Hi Folks,
I've benefited from awesome information here over the last few days as I embarked upon a trip down a huge rabbit hole.
However, my issue isn't resolved and I'm at my wits end - so would really appreciate a pointer.
My situation:
1) I have the S21 Ultra 5G (SM-G998B/DS).
2) I purchased the phone in the UK, then subsequently moved to Hong Kong.
3) 5G was working fine in the UK on "3" network. I acquired a 5G "3 HK" contract here.
I am not getting 5G signal at all anywhere in Hong Kong, only 4G+. I have tried all of the normal fault finding - APN settings, clearing cache partition, general settings - nada.
Signal checkers seem to indicate that the SM-G998B/DS should work in Hong Kong with 3.
My main problem - I think I need to remove the NR whitelist from the service mode, but:
1) The standard dialer service mode *#0011# does not have any options for UE menus.
2) The Google Phone dialer service mode *#*#276633683782#*#* is completely empty.
I can't get to any place to remove the NR whitelist.
Does anyone have any suggestions on getting this to work? I've been sitting with Samsung and 3 customer support, but their shop-level support isn't really cutting the mustard, and they don't really know if SM-G998B will work in Hong Kong.
Thanks so much in advance.
Scotty.

Just to update.
In my desperation, I strutted over to the store to consider buying a Hong Kong S21 Ultra (assuming it would be SM-G998O). Buying a new one would break my tight-fisted Scottish heart, by the way.
Imagine my surprise when the display model - booming along on 5G - was the SM-G998B/DS. My exact model.
The very knowledgeable girl in the store played around with mine but couldn't get it to work on 5G.
She thinks my work profile with the Tunnel VPN might be blocking 5G. Does anyone think that is possible?
I've already started in mode - which did not yield a fix, so I had discounted this option.
The other thing that is on my mind is the CSC.
My current CSC is BTU (UK, I believe). Would switching the to Hong Kong CSC accommodate the 5G connection in Hong Kong?

Steps to get the SM-N9860 optimal for UK use

Hello all,
I have recently purchased a shiny new Hong Kong version of the Note 20 Ultra 5G (SM-N9860). I am based in the UK, and want to get the most functionality out of the phone, namely:
- 5g capability on the Three network
- Samsung Pay working
- inbuilt call recorder
- VoLte working
I have had a read through various posts on these forums, and it seems I would need to do one or both of the below:
- Change the CSC using the Google Dialler trick
- Change the firmware using the patched ODIN tool, and a firmware from Sammobile
Now my question is threefold:
- What combination of the above two steps do I take?
- Which region do I change the CSC and/or firmware to (UK or otherwise)?
- If I have to change either the CSC and/or firmware to a region with the exynos variant, will that cause problems, as the SM-N9860 is the snapdragon version?
Thank you for bearing with me
I have the same phone. There's a menu hack code to get 5g working (whitelist) and it's fine for me (Vodafone UK), although I disable it as it rips through the battery. I think that works for Vodafone and EE, but not sure about Three as they might use a different band. Wouldn't touch them with a bargepole anyway.
Samsung Pay let me register my Nationwide UK card with the HK portal. Took a few goes but it works fine now.
I'm very happy with the phone (no idea what VOLTE is) and I don't need call recording. All works without changing the firmware.
Voice over LTE = Volte

How did you register your uk cards with samsung pay hk?
Just put the details in and it accepted them. I really can't remember the process as it was so long ago.

Thanks, also where did you find the menu hack code for 5g
It's on Google. Just search for Note 20 Ultra Hong Kong 5g whitelist or somethig like that.
