I bought my Z3 few hours ago, i want to root it and I;m looking for the latest firmware to download.
Currentlly there is 23.0.1.A.5.77 on my device.
I read on this thread on xda that
the Firmware for D6603 and D6653 are the same file.
Also on this thread, it shows a same file.
Is that confirmed?
can i use the same file on my D6653 and don't get bricked?

Use Xperiafirm to download the desired firmware..
Or you can also use D6603 ftf
How do you root with "latest" firmware?
Do you mean older firmware?
There is an India generic older firmware for D6653, in the mega collection thread.

I just wonder how did you get this? I have xperia m2 dual which is bought in China. There is no Google play service framework in my phone. I've been waiting for weeks to find a way to flash some Google thing into it.

Why do you say in the title it is 2303, the in the post it is 2306 or other??? 100 people opens it, then it is not the thing that is in the title...
I have a T-mobile z3 and I've been searching all over the forum to see if it can be debranded my original Z from t-mobile could but on z3 I can't find an answer I don't wanna brick it trying but if anyone knows of this is possible any help withdrawal be appreciated and sorry if this has been asked before longer stated earlier can't seem to find a thread on it

Hello there,
I am from India, and as we all know that the xperia z2 is being updated to lollipop , but no word out yet in india so I decided to install the same using flash tool
I used xperifirm to download the android 5.0.2
I own the D6502 model, how ever the update that I downloaded was for the Nordic regions which have D6503 model.
I followed the steps and flashed lollipop on my phone, but now the sim card wont catch the network,
I tried to switch to gsm mode only ,
no help
there is no option to search for the available networks manually
I use Vodafone in India,
Please help, It's urgent

Use Xperifirm, that has a very large range of ftfs that you can flash via flashtool...

Thanks, but I can't find specific ftf with that CDA number. I want that ftf beacuse I have weak signal with 6.0.1 .291 with different CDA, on mainboard it says CDA: 1280 8998. So can someone help me? Thanks!
