I had to create the thread to be "compliant" with PAC Team rules.
They will validate ASAP (I hope ), and nightlies should be back

Thinking I might give this a shot.
Seeing shreps is now maintainer.

Unfortunately no new builds yet. Anything we can do?

Will the wallpaper size limitation issue be fixed as well? I've noticed the problem in this and the OmniROM, so I'm not sure if it's systemic.
BTW, I tried PAC ROM as my first ROM attempt, and I' m loving it. I tried Omni afterwards, but response seems much better on this. However, Omni broke root and trying the original method of restoring root resulted in a bootloop. Not sure what to do at this point to restore it, still looking into things. Thanks!

About the wallpaper, will look at it, there was a special hack for A700 in CyanogenMod (because of problems with 1080p screen)

Also have noticed that the EZ Cast dongle I have no longer casts video as on the stock ROM; also when plugged into the HDMI the subtitles do not display properly (via MX Player). Not sure if it's worth a bug report, still working on configurations from my end.

Hum, I get a boot loop on RC3... Can roll back though. Anyone else have this problem?
EDIT - re-downloaded the RC, seems to work okay now - but it could also be that the boot time seems much longer than RC-2. Will start testing once the tab's recharged, this was a long day of fiddling with the thing.

Downloaded and updated last night from 9/29 build. everything looks fine so far No noticeable changes.
I have a questions. I changed the nav buttons to use different icons. How do I revert to stock? There does not seem to be a way.

Having used this for a few hours all was well, no changes to anything, other than logging in to google and setting up my wifi. It then started random rebooting and lost my wifi, which I could not turn back on in the settings, as its gryed out. Had to flash back my stock image Had similar with lates nightly from CM11. Both also lost notifications bar at the top of the screen and the dock at the bottom, so it was impossible to get to anything, as I had not had chance to setup many icons.
Been playing with Android roms since 1.6 and not had this type of issue. I am sure it will be resolved soon though. Whilst it was running OK, this ROM was ultra snooth and pretty snappy. :good:

No problem! There is a pretty simple way to do this is you use TWRP
1. Place rom and gapps (same version) on your device to install
2. Boot to recovery
3. Go to advance wipe, delete ONLY system and cache, NOT DATA
4. Install ROM & Gapps
Follow these steps and it will restore to stock while retaining your data, hope this helps

PAC builds from CM (as well as many other ROMS) I will make another build tonight and place in the basketbuild incase their are issues that were ironed out. You can use the above method I recommended to barth2 to upgrade w/o changing any of your data or installed apps.

Checking in: my nook hd+ has never run so smoothly. Terrific work!!
I was going to pass this to my sister and upgrade to the tab s for the OLED screen mainly and better speed but now I wonder why pay so much money when I have something perfectly workable.

Loaded this up, stilling having issues with netflix (Laggy audio).
I now also seem to be getting a screen flicker in some apps, maybe it just needs a restart.

I agree, PAC rom is pretty sweet. I wasn't even able to use WiFi tethering with my carriers stock software, now I'm able to without restrictions xD

I take it you guys were able to get most of the little things dealt with, such as some of the sound and touch screen stuff we came across with the early CM12 build? I'll install it in multi rom and give it a try.

PAC-Rom 5.0.x is still in testing phases and while it works fantastically, we need to iron out ALL of the kinks before release. Once the official is released, I will be starting NIGHTLY RELEASES.
I cannot give any ETA about when that is, but expect more news very soon.

You guys still trying to get the Nvidia apps working with this? I seen you mention this elsewhere. Kind of crucial for folk like me who use all the stock Nvidia features.

NVIDIA shield hub also avalible vía play store.
Im testing eos ROM and installed shield hub vía play store, work good form me.

I did not realise you could get the hub from the store on custom ROMs (I.e. AOSP). Oops!

There's more to it than an app to get the WiFi Direct controller stuff to work. There are .lib files and such but I don't know if it ends there and you'll have to make it so you can access the app since its integrated with strings on stock. Might be able to use USB for now though.

Edit2: It happens if i try to change style and status bar

I tried it as I loved the old PAC roms on my S4. But currently this is virtually identical to Temasek's CM 12 and is missing a lot of the old options that made PAC so good, although understandably as they're no doubt not converted to LP yet. Will check back later.

Has anyone tested this? My wife is using my S3 and haven't had time to test. Need to know if LTE is working or nah?

I am about to install it now. I will get back to you after I have finish.
Update: I flashed it and everything but LTE is working.

Damnit, well thanks for letting me know. Been trying to get LTE to work but still no go...idk what gives.

What's not working with the camera? I currently don't have the phone as my wife is down south for a couple of weeks. But, I plan on releasing an update later this week with LTE fixed hopefully and maybe camera if something isn't working.
EDIT: Will merge the camera fixes in the kernel later today and have an update hopefully later.

it's a known problem in lollipop but may fix according to others d2vzw rom.

unfortunately, camera has stopped.
I clean its cache, does not work.
and the third camera APP like opencamera does not work.

I flashed this slim gapps: http://slimdevs.com/Gapps/Lollipop/Slim_mini_gapps.BETA.5.0.x.build.0.x-20150324.zip
now open camera can work with 2 pics.
then it stopped again.

Why would you flash Slim Gapps, when I said to use the ones in OP. You shouldn't have any issues if you use PA gapps.
Edit: Sorry for being short earlier. But, just noticed that PA gapps is down and I'll try to find gapps that do work but try not to use Slim because they are based differently than Pac

I have been on this ROM since the previous build to the current. I must say ~ Great Job!! :highfive:
You are on the right track. I am using the PA Gapps with this ROM (Dated 03.15.15). Which Kernel is used with this ROM and any other Kernel/s you can recommend?
P.S. ~ Feel free to ask me any question.
P.S.S. ~ Tested the 'Open Camera' App and an error message displayed ~ "FAILED TO OPEN CAMERA. CAMERA MAY BE IN USE BY ANOTHER APPLICATION?"
Tested the Camera that's included with the ROM and an error message displayed ~ "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped."
Restarted/Rebooted the mobile device and tried using both cameras again. See below for results.
Open Camera ~ Same results!!
Camera included with Rom ~ Same results!!

When this happened on other ROMs a reboot would usually fix it. Usually. There's a camera restart app that you can get from the play store that may or may not help until a fix comes along. You might look into the thread by mastamoon for more details.
If the fix is in the kernel as mentioned I've been using dkp with another lollipop build and open camera works great. Just a suggestion.
Great to see PAC doing their thing here with lollipop too. Many thanks to the PAC devs!

Hello Again.
This is an update to my last post. I flashed the "dkp-aosp50-20150315" kernel and "Open Camera" worked fine. I closed it, after taking a picture, and reopened the app again. No error messages or force close messages. :good:
