It should be default. AOSP Nexus ROMs have it. Even if not, I will still try to add it, because without it it looks just weird for me...
EDIT: OK, anyway, gradient working
Do you know when the zip file is ready? I haven't really used adb much lately

CWM says some errors, like I must use EDIFY type of updater-script and update-binary, but I have tried to do this but failed... anyway I'm now working on it as I also don't want to use adb for this and always set permissions manually

Thanks for the fix - the orange overscrolling effect has been really bothering me (and the fact that you can't change it anymore (unlike CM7))
Just a question: What is the "fade to black effect"?

On galaxy nexus when you are pulling down the notification tray, things behind it slowly fade to dark as you pull the tray. This should have been default.

EDIT: AT THIS POINT ITS GALAXY NEXUS-specific feature which is not in CM yet... We have to wait till its merged or something...
Any idea of fixing Phone dial-er app?
Layout:
The erase key is on right side of input box,
Shouldn't the be in bottom right? sorry if I'm wrong, but i used to the bottom right.
Reason for the fix : When you choose a contact from smart dial, the first few numbers are hidden, only the last few digits are visible and make the user feels like it wasn't chosen. I'm using the international format like +YYXXXXXXXXXX ...
Search bug
Are you able to search a contact from call log tab or contact tab (not the people app)? I'm kind of missing it.

Thanks, is this issue present even in CM7/CM7 with holo launcher? Because I think it will be due to our phone's resolution/screen size... isn't it?

Flashed the current update.zip ....
Appreciate the blue cursor in the input box
Ideas:
Is it possible to have blue active icons in the notification drawer? Let that be white at in-active state.
Also the dial-er app drop down arrow while getting more than one search result (Where is it??? CM bug?)
The missed call notification is now in black & white. Is it correct?

1st of all, I changed all icons as they should be. That means, back/white icons are in holo theme, official in Android 4.0.4+ now. The icons before with exp. build 1 were GB ones, because in android source repository are no JB icons for LDPI/MDPI yet - I guess that is placeholder for later... So I came with at least this solution because I don't think they will continue with LDPI (old) resolution support for icons, because they wasn't even in ICS...
And for the blue icons... I'm trying to make it as close as possible to official CMX/JB as possible, because for our resolution default layouts are just uggly.. No blue icons in CMX, so no icons that I will do Just official JB because for LDPI is yet undone. It will be good to have theese fixes merged to marcellusbe's port so it wont have this type of issues.

EXT4 Tweaks:
This mod will turn ON data_writeback for all 3 partitions - system, data and cache. This will drastically improve I/O performance (mostly on write operations) at the expense of file system integrity in certain situations, like unexpected system shutdown. The risk is not extreme, but still bigger then regular. Use this to improve your system performance, but you flash it at your own risk!

PhoeniX ROM Control Pro
Alot were worried about it. You shouldn't.
PhoeniX ROM Control Pro, is an option to donate to me via play store. As a thank you from me, it will unlock several more options in ROM Control.
How it works?
In order to enable pro features, you will have to install PhoeniX Pro Key from the Play store.
This applies to all feature updates, ROMs, etc.
So if you want to get it, grab it here :
or click here!

DO THIS BEFORE INSTALLING THE ROM - ONLY FOR G900F:
This is only for G900F, if you do this on other S5, you might brick your device!
Download this package(do not extract it!) :

MD5:
Code:
9b6e095c23e8b15bac6f92a94b1f0400
This Package contains the following :
- CPJ1 Modem
- CPK1 Bootloader
- CPJ1 LTE Modem
Turn off the device.
Boot into Download mod(Power+Home+Vol Down) - It is important to do it after you turn off your device and not from reboot menu in rom
Open ODIN, select PDA and choose the package you have downloaded
Click start.
Check if modem changed after phone reboots. If not, repeat the steps again.

Installation Instructions for v15:
Do the steps above.

Use latest philz or TWRP 3.0.1 or lower
Flash v15. Choose your mods, etc.
Reboot.

Fingerprint- doesn't work on S7 settings & UI due to different sensor. Therefore, is removed.
Do not update SVoice to the latest .115 update. It uses S7 location sensor and won't work. The SVoice in the ROM is perfect.
Do not update any of Camera modes from the Galaxy Store because it will give you FC to camera due to S7 camera modules.
If you want to fix Youtube 1080P 60FPS lag, you have to change your device model from SM-G935F to SM-G903F. If you do that, you will lose the option to download S7 theme or update S7 apps & Edge apps.

I honestly don't know why you would be so harsh - there are some exceptional roms available for the S5 - considering how new this phone is, the variety of quality ROMS is really quite good and the quality exceptional - maybe they are not your taste - but I think you are being too rough -
having said that - I loved Phoenix on my NOTE 3 and am just as excited as you obviously are to see it coming to the S5 - I eagerly await the upload to finish so I can try it out. It is awesome to have even more variety and if the past history of Phoenix Rom is any indication of what we can expect - It will surely be a phenomenal ROM -

Thanked your post by mistake, have to disagree with you saying the other Roms are junk. The devs make great effort making them for us, and all have their advantages from one another.

[/QUOTE]This is a port I have been working on for about a week now. NO, it was not as easy as just deleting the aroma script either. I asked Tamirda for permission to post and he said fine if I copied his stuff with his donation link so it is below. You will get system ui force close at installation and at reboots, just hit ok and carry on. I believe I have fixed it to where it is only at these two points. I will integrate @jrkruse firmware files and his international patch stuff soon, but as for now flash them in safestrap after flashing the rom.
Here is a link to the original thread consider going over there and giving him thanks, you also should check out the humongous thread and all of the stuff this rom has. Many more options than anything I have seen in our forum lately.
Pretty fast for a stock kernel

Flashing instructions for 10.2
Directions
If coming from another rom make sure you have a GPS lock before flashing just to be safe and make sure GPS works
Full Wipe required
If already running Phoenix,or BOG5 based rom simply flash rom in SafeStrap or Flashfire and reboot to setup
If running previous 5.0 rom flash Phoenix Rom then BOG5 firmware zip. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347794033
Same things apply that apply to all International roms, HD calling does not work And Visual Voice mail will only work if you restore data to VVM from a backup
This rom was converted from an Aroma installer so I added all the apps and options so here is a debloater script to get rid of some of the bloat. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347780933

Well, I am not sure why you would be out of luck. The OP specifically says it's ported for the 900V and as far as I know this does not work on the dev edition.

This has nothing to do with using verizon as a carrier. It will not affect anything except some layouts in settings and systemui

[] ...thank you thank you thank you, you're input is muchly appreciated. If you don't mind, a follow up question:
I have heard that Verizon's retail Samsung phones have a signed bootloader image that prevents bypassing. Is this true? If so, is there a way to replace the bootloader sector by sector with an unlockable one? Thanx man your giving us with Verizon retail phones new hope

I am fairly new to all if this locked bootloader stuff, so I have no idea. Matter of fact I will say this is the first locked bootloader phone that I have enjoyed. I believe though if there was a way to unlock it that it would have been done by now. Of course we can always hope

OK...so, here's a reply from another thread. Sorry I'm a noob at mobile development but have been coding for decades.
If I understand the meaning of the following reply correctly, if I try to bypass the locked, signed bootloader on my Verizon retail phone, so as to gain root access, I'll brick it:
"...I have heard that the retail versions of Verizon's Samsung phones have a signed bootloader image, so their bootloader can't be bypassed..." "...You are correct again. Not sure if the Verizon Galaxy S5 will ever get 6.0. Right now the bootloader is locked down tighter than a vestal virgin's...........well you know what..."

My understanding from the other Samsung models is they use a qfuse and if it's tripped your bricked. Again I am not a developer, just sharing what I am playing with.

There is no passing the locked bootloader on Verizon devices unless you buy a developer edition phone which comes with an unlocked bootloader

Thank you thank you for tipping me off about qfuses, in the last 2 hours I've expanded my knowledge on them dramatically. I am a (nearly) professional developer (graduate in December) that would like to start serious development on Android - but not if I only have end-user permissions. That's like trying to develop a Windoze app with only user rights :silly: ...yeah, I know "but john you CAN do development without elevated permissions" - but most app development without root, like making silly games, web link list clones, and the like - has already been done. Most of the code has already been written. I want to do something innovative.
So, after even more research, I found the paragraph below. THAT is what I wanna do for my Samsung phone: get approved as a legitimate software developer by either Google or Samsung; get elevated privileges; and then I get to do serious development. Thanx to the pros at Azimuth Security for this. Some XDA developers have already picked up on this and are trying to find a way to do this for the Samsung devices.
".........
Supported Signed Bootloader QFuse Unlocking
From the perspective of the user, unlocking the signed bootloader on a developer edition device is fairly straightforward. The user must boot into "bootloader mode" using a hardware key combination (usually Vol Up + Vol Down + Power) at boot. Next, the standard "fastboot" utility can be used to issue the following command:
fastboot oem get_unlock_data
In response to this command, an ASCII blob will be returned to the user. The user must then submit this blob to the Motorola bootloader unlock website (https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a). If the user's device is supported by the bootloader unlocking program (i.e. if it's a developer edition device), the website will provide a 20-character "unlock token".
To complete the process, the user issues a final fastboot command:
fastboot oem unlock [token]
At this point, the bootloader unlocks, and the user may use fastboot to flash custom kernel and system images that have not been signed by Motorola or the carrier.

Sigh... ...Yep. Big thanx to those in this thread that have helped me pickup on signed bootloaders and qfuses. There's only one more thing left to try.
jhr5474: If I've perceived this thread correctly, you were able to flash Phoenix ROM onto your phone. If you and I both have exactly the same hardware and software configuration, it might work for me, let me know if our phones match exactly:
Device: Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 retail version
Bootloader: Signed, locked with qfuse
Model: SM-900V
Android: 5.0
kernel: 3.4.0
build: LRX21T.G900VVRU2BOG5
Thanx again

* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM

* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
The Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 4 is a video enhancement program for Sony phones. It uses filters and algorithms to create a clearer and more contrasted picture and an overall smoother experience. This is perfect for the huge HD screen but can be a little to saturated for people like photographers who want to see how the photo looks exactly with out any enhancements. The change is not huge but is definitely noticeable if two devices are compared.

Custom ROMs on the G Flex 2 even with locked bootloader? **** yes!
Could you please post some instructions to flash? Also, what is the full 60 fps mod on screen motion? Have you tried the ROM?
Thanks a lot!
What? Is it full working?
Inviato dal mio LG-H955 utilizzando Tapatalk
Can we try this on H955 Euro?? And how to get that UI, specialy the dialer?
I'm waiting for h955 version.
Very exciting. I built a stock rom when ZV8 source was on the LG page. Seems the source files have been removed now... Anyhow, great to know that someone has flashed a rom to this device! Now to build a CM rom!

This theme is a very simple customization of "OxygenOS Always On Display" but i think many of you will like it
THIS THEME WILL NOT ENABLE AOD (ALWAYS ON DISPLAY)
Features
- Colorize or hide the Ten Digit/Digit/Percentage with Digit Customizer
- Colorize or hide the Date/Owner Text with Text Customizer
- Colorize or hide the Battery with Battery Customizer
-- Set some transparency to make the AOD more "ambient"
- Modify the LiftUp Time, Notification Time and hide the Analog Clock Background with Modifier
Pro/Con
+ This doesn't harm the Notification Popup, it's still at max brightness
- The notification icons are not customizable atm. If someone knows how i'd be happy to hear
Howto
You have to install Substratum first to apply the theme and reboot after applying any change
Compatibility
Compatible with any OnePlus Device running 8.1 and 9.0
Feedback
Feel free to contact me with improvements or bugs in this thread or via pm
Thanks
@isetnt for testing and optimizing

Release Date: 2018-08-17
Last Updated: 2018-11-26
Changelogs
Digit Customizer
Code:
v3
- New Colors (Blue4, BlueGrey, Lime, Turquoise, Orange2, Orange3)
- Ability to hide the Percentage
v2
- Split into two Themes: Digits and Text (due to limitations of substratum)
- New Colors
- Ability to hide the date
- 75% is now called 25% to improve the sorting/overview but it's the same value
Text Customizer
Code:
v3
- New Colors (Blue4, BlueGrey, Lime, Turquoise, Orange2, Orange3)
- Ability to hide the Date and Owner Text
Battery Customizer
Code:
v1
- All Colors from Digit and Text Customizer available
-- Special One with 3 Charging-Steps (15%,25% and above 25%) in Red, Yellow and Green
- Ability to hide the Battery
Modifier
Code:
v1
- Change how long a notification is shown
- Change how long the ambient display is shown after the liftup gesture (only makes sense for the ambient display)
- Hide the analog clock background image
Instructions
To explanation: AOD is a background process and enabled substratum themes only apply when the process starts "fresh".
So if it doesn't apply for you, be sure to follow these steps
- Select your colors (the OPAod title becomes pink)
- Reboot your Device
- Go to theme manager (the OPAod title is yellow)
- Enable it (the OPAod becomes green)
- Reboot or force close the aod process
- Done
Thanks for your efforts and work of bringing a theme to customize Ambient display/AOD.

Features
- Colorize the Ten Digit/Digit with different colors

Pro/Con
+ This doesn't harm the Notification Popup, it's still at max brightness
- The battery icon and notification icons are not customizable atm. If someone knows how i'd be happy to hear
- Due to limitations of substratum i had to focus on digits and then "the rest". If you'd like to set different color for battery percentage, owner info etc. i have to create more themes or predifined templates ... let's see how you feel about the first release
Howto
You have to install Substratum first to apply the theme and reboot after applying any change
Compatibility
My Device is a 5T but it should be compatible with any OnePlus Device running 8.1
Question
Is there a need for colorizing the analog clock? If yes, it will be another Theme too...uh....

That looks really nice ?
Have you noticed significant battery drain? Other AODs usually drain about 3-5% per hour.
Thanks for sharing!
Works great on my OP5T. Great Job.
I'd love to be able to color the other elements like date/batt/slogan.
Works fine on op5t OB13. Would love to see default bright red option for other time digits too
how to enable it

After you've installed it in substratum you will have to reboot then go into manager search for aod and this theme will show up as not enabled enable it and you're good to go.

We are currently working on that.
It doesn't work for me I'm running on open beta 14 and I have my device rooted with aod magisk module..I tried to apply the theme and enable it after reboot...nothing happens after then!
Same here with ob13, aod or lift up same thing, nothing changes whatever I choose
Working brilliant with Open beta 14 and no limits 3.1.

It is definetly working as you can read from other posts on different versions: OB13, OB14, with AOD Magisk Module, inactivity screen etc.
FYI: I'm going to release some new colors and maybe some additions soon
