Observed this issue with OPO...when i download Google Play Movies in offline mode, i cannot play them for more than 2 secs when i am not connected to Wifi/3G. I can fast forward to any moment in the movie but when i resume play, it works for 2 secs or a little more.
Anyone observed this? Is this an OPO issue? Googling it is giving me a variety of solutions but none of them work..
I am still on CM11S but have not rooted the device yet

I am not able to get any of my movies to play from Google Play Movies after I updated to 4.2.1. I have searched around and see that other may have been having the same problem. I am NOT rooted or unlocked and these are purchased movies and tv shows from play.
The crazy thing is I have used the same TV, cord, and tablet to play the movies in the past and it worked just fine. Now they will play when I have the HDMI unplugged but as soon as I plug it it, the screen changes to an HDMI screen on the tablet (mirrored on the TV) and the loading circle spins until the display turns off.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Me too
Have you had any luck with this? I updated recently and found exactly the same thing, I can no longer play them on my TV. Google have had me reset the phone a few times, no difference.

maybe wrong thread its a tablet not a phone.
Hi there, any help on this matter would be appreciated, I have looked at many other threads about similar issues and none seem to help me.
So what is happening is when I play a song it randomly pauses, sometimes after 2 minutes and sometimes after 5-10 min. I have used Pro player, sony walkman app and also the stock music app but they all do it.
Also when I go to the internet as soon as a page starts loading the music pauses every time on chrome or stock browser.
It does this on bluetooth in my car, headphones and through the built in speaker.
Another issue is playstore will not let me download unless I am connected to wifi. when I download it it just says waiting for wifi and queues it but just sits there saying that.
Again I have looked through countless threads and still no answers.
I have a Sony Xperia T lt30a with custom rom MIUI - 3.11.1
Thanks in advance for any help!!:good:
Hi,
Some of you may remember me from my "Android Kit Kat 4.4.2 on Motorola Xoom' thread. My Xoom WI-FI now has the latest ROM
4.4.2-20140207-1805+0100-wingray-HOMADE. I just loaded this version about 45 minutes ago. Earlier today I loaded the Netflix Android App
from the Google Play store. I started to play an episode of the Netflix Series House of cards. When the episode started the subtitles (captions) were enabled. So I touched the little icon on the screen and I chose no captions. Once I did that the program continued to play without any sound what so ever. So, I tried another program. I chose a Movie that I had never watched on any TV, Blu-ray player or other device.
The same phenomena occurred. Movie played with subtitles on, I turn them off and the sound stops playing. Yes, I even plugged in Headphones.
This Phenomena does not occur when i play movies through my FIREFOX browser on my PC nor does it occur on my TV or Blu-ray player.
So, I called NETFLIX tech Support. They had me try several things (like use another WIFI network in this case the WIFI hotspot on my phone) to see if the problem was related to my router.
Also, on my WIFI XOOM Tablet the playback of netflix Streaming freezes and the buffering circle spins. This may be also related to issues with the ROM and the Netflix Android app. I do have a Wireless N network and I am sitting in the room where the Router is.
None of these problems occurred with the last GOOGLE approved ROM.
The Netflix tech found my thread from January. It is possible that NETFLIX techs will be posting to this forum. So, has anyone had any issues with NETFLIX using this ROM?
Thank you in advance

I have not experienced any netflix issues with this ROM. I even use it through chromecast. I've tried what you stated and did not experience the issue.

I can confirm the behavior experienced by bigfootmd. Netflix is very sensitive and will stop playing sound. If you exit netflix and restart, sound is back. In addition, the HDMI output freezes and becomes unuseable, independent of the sound problem.
I am running 4.4.2.20140215-1029+0100-wingray-HOMEMADE
Domunus: when you play through Chromecast, your feed goes directly to the Chromecast device and does not pass through your xoom. Your xoom is simply a remote control. This is probably why you do not see the problem. When I cast, I do not see the problem either.
Hi,
I have a LG G Flex 2 and since a few days the audio keeps pausing at random moments. I listen to a lot of music on my phone and this is really annoying.
It seems to be happening at random moments but sometimes it just pauses right after i have told it to un-pause. I have logged out of my google account and back in again but this did not solve the problem.
It is happening with Google Play Music, Spotify (those are the only two media players i use) and sometimes also with online video's.
Anyone has a solutions for this problem? I would hate to have to put my phone back to factory settings.
I'm running android 5.1.1 (rooted) software version V15c-EUR-XX
Are you streaming all of your music?
If that's the case I'd say it's a buffering issue and the best solution to that would be to download your music and store it on an external sd.

i'm streaming some of it but the most music i have on google play is saved on my phone
Same issue
Hey! Thanks for starting this thread. I have the H955 and I have been having this issue as well, with Spotify. It does not matter if I play downloaded or streamed content, the player randomly pauses all the time. I am on MM unrooted.
Update: I also eliminated a lose connection, used the auction on my music system to play music and it stops as well. Also tried a new pair of headphones and I am having the same issue.
Cheers!
So this seem to be a constant problem for instance when playing youtube and you chromecast it to your tv..
after a while youtube app will shut down and you have to re open it and press the chromecast symbol to get back to your chromecast cue..
of course I have the autostart permission for youtube... but when playing thru chromecast the video is not played on the local device only casted..
any solution ???
This is probably not a problem on global version, I have the chinese version and I think it is the wisdom engine that shuts it off without understanding its still active thru chromecast.
