hi,
since i have the samsung charging cover i am looking for a case, that fits.
But the most manufactors offers only cases for the regular note edge - means without the charging cover.
In the past i used "Qi Wireless Receiver pads (3rd Party)" for my Note 3 and i used the seidio surface. The charging works fine, even though there is the case between charging pad and charging station. I like to use the original charging cover, because it gets not so warm then the pads 3rd Party.
I love the cases from seidio and ask for such a case. Her is their answer:
"Hello,
Thank you for contacting Seidioonline.com. We appreciate your interest in our products. We have not finalized plans to make Samsung Galaxy Note Edge cases with a charging cover. Your request has been forwarded to product development.
If you would like to stay informed on future product releases for this device, we suggest periodically checking our online store, or you may sign up for email notifications here: http://www.seidioonline.com/Articles.asp?ID=303.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 832-204-1118."
Thank you,
Are there already cases on the market, for the Edge with original charging cover?
I have the UAG Maverick case.
I got it after my Edge cracked after falling with the Edge Wallet OEM Samsung Cover case failed to protect it (I know, its not supposed to), and had my Edge replaced under ADH warranty (best $99 I've ever spent) thanks to AT&T/Asurion.
I am using a white Wireless Cover charger back on a black phone (yes, in the US, got the white one from Korea because it was available and cheaper), and modded one as per the instructions here to fix the OEM Back, which will allow you to use ANY CASE with the OEM back. You simply remove the plastic cover on the OEM Wireless charger, and the plastic front, and follow the directions here, and it will fit your OEM back perfectly, and thusly, into any case. Did that on a friend's edge.
On my Edge, I gave up the Wallet and go the UAG Maverick Case, removed the OEM White back, and installed in into the phone and case because it looked cool. The UAG Maverick holds it against the back of the phone, and it works great, looks great, and is an awesome conversation starter.
So, if you take apart the OEM charging back, you can use whatever case you want with the OEM regular back in place.
Here's my photo of the UAG Maverick 'conversation starter':

The OEM charging door for the Samsung Galaxy S4 adds quite a bit of bulk. In this video I test it on a few cases and compare the charge rate to an eBay QI receiver.
Some of the cases used:

Thanks for nice review. I think that it would be even more helpful for potential buyers if you could add in your post simple text list of tested cases and their compatibility status.
btw. I saw that many times during putting cases on, you put your fingers on the central part of screen (instead on frame on edges of screen) and pressed it really hard. Don't be surprised if some day your screen just brake (whether GG3 or AMOLED display underneath). My advise would be to put phone flat on the table screen down and press only on case. In that way, pushing force will be placed on the whole screen area without high pressure spots on it.
[EDIT] It seems that in the meantime you already added the list of tested cases.
Yeah but then I don't get revenue to get more cases. This test phone and its accessories are expensive. It has never been used for anything but videos. Hopefully the Spigen Glas will disperse some of the force .
Would be better if you would check the current charging rate.
Isn't that what I displayed in the picture I flashed on the screen?
@ 2:06
For reference the stock charger measured around 2145ma between 25-27% in another test.

thank you for this review video.
I was really curious to see how the oem s charge door would fair with aftermarket case and I guess not well.
I appreciate the effort you put into your videos. :good:

Thanks.
I really wanted it to be the perfect solution. The little QI receivers came out first, and I thought this would be the end of people using those. However, if you get the OEM solution you'll find the device feels pretty thick even if you don't use a case.
Guys,
Here is the quick review of the Samsung Note 4 S-View Wireless Charging Case and the Fake China S-View Case and some other cases ( Wallets and TPU)
Question?
Just wanted to put my opinion in also mate. Gotta say this is the worst case I have owned on any phone. I bought this case as I wanted to try the flip case. Firstly only get this case if you NEED a flip case. It covers the LED so only way to know if you have notifications is to turn the phone on. The edges of this case a hard and narrow, therefore holding the phone for periods becomes very uncomfortable. It also will not protect the phone if dropped, the front flip becomes slightly flexible so you will damage the corners of the phone if you drop it. Also the screen gets incredibly smudged by fingerprints unlike the actual screen. Very hard to keep clean as it has two sides to it.
Hate flip cases anyways

Yeah, The looks. I actually bought another S view (Gold color) without wireless charging
Verizonwireless.com has the charging case for $39.99 and the standard S-view for $19.99! Damn good prices considering the retail prices of these cases. Just ordered the charcoal one that has built-in charging. And no, you do not have to have an account to order. :good:

Yup that's where I ordered. The gold one looks better than I thought
Thanks for the review.
I have a fake chinese flip S-view cover for my Galaxy S4, and for the price it was simply great. the S-view worked fine, and quality was really decent.
One I'm considering buying a similar one for my new Note 4, and I think that the original OEM cases (both wireless and non-wireless ones) are simple overpriced!
I made some searches, and noticed that there are no fake chinese ones with the IC chip which enables the native S-view windows. They all have those custom badly functioning apps you have to download from chinese websites, just like you mentioned in the video.
Is there any fake flip case with a working native S-view cover??
Thanks!!
I grabbed one from Verizon for $19.99 (as mentioned above). I found the price acceptable, but wouldn't pay the full price for it. It's a nice case, but the window smudges are annoying (as others have mentioned).

$20 is not that bad for a real S view case from Verizon. I don't think any fake one works same as real Sview because of the small magnet/chip insert cost more.
Nice review ... This is mine..

Besides those cases above in my review, I bought 4 more cases
1- a 2 layer wallet case
2 - Gold Samsung S view case (real)
3 - a case with stand in the back (Garrco case)
4 - another simple backup case (using now ) and love it

Love my S view case.
I find it very useful I have qi wireless chargers on the desk, nightstand and car... So convenient.
And the Note 4 is so damn good looking, I just can't cover it all up with a big, bulky (ugly) case.
To each their own...

I don't like flip and wallet cases no matter how many I bought ( use for max 2 days). Always come back to TPU case for the convenience
Sent from the Galaxy Note 4 - Have a nice day.
I was looking for a Wallet case for my Samsung Galaxy S5 with the OEM wireless charging back but found nothing. I got used to having a wallet case for 2 years on my SIII and I don't want to go back to carrying an additional bulky object in my wallet. As most wallet cases are just a PU leather flip case/wallet glued to a plastic shell I figured I could remove the wallet portion and glue it to a Samsung Qi Backplate. I ran into a problem however as neither E6000 nor JB Kwik Weld would adhere to the backplate material. Does anyone know of a glue or epoxy that will bond to the S5's backplate?
I am also in the same boat. Would like to know if you find a product. If there's none available I'm probably going to modify a wallet case so it suits my needs.
Reporting back. Ordered this case a few days ago. I got the i9100 extended battery covery and the similar 'slip over' silicon jobs that come with the wallet cases work. It was only $7 so I'm willing to give it a try!

Afternoon team,
So I'm moving from iOS back to android next week, with a new Note 4 on its way!
I used to have an S2 and enjoyed the hell out of trying custom ROM's, but I'll get on to that in a few weeks time!
First off though, of course, is getting the right case and accessories. All opinions and set-ups welcomed!
Keep in mind, I use my phone as SatNav as I drive a lot, daily. Things like flipcases would be irrelevant as I can only imagine how rubbish they are to mount in a car. Also, I like tough cases as long as they aren't too bulky. The CaseMate for iPad Mini's are incredible (iPad mini is a main tool in my business). Wireless charging seems intriguing, so I wouldn't mind looking into that. As long as it works through standard cases?
I've looked at the Spigen cases, they look ok. But there's an awful lot of mixed reviews on here.
So, dream scenarios people... what accessories and case should I go for??
Spigen capsule i have got that one and is awesome, great feel, good protecion and it also looks god
Thanks,
The Spigen line look cool but I do find their insistence on 'Auto Focus' a little out of taste!
If you need a case then I can recommend Spigen as I have had them on many of my phones and loved them although I'm not a case user most of the time. I have the capsule for the Note 4 and I like it but with an already big phone it makes it bigger but not too much.
If you don't need a case then I would recommend the qi wireless charging back cover even if your not going to use wireless charging to charge the phone because to me it makes the phone feel better in hand.
If you are going to use wireless charging then I the Nexus magnetic charger looks good especially when used with a good dash mount.
Samsung spare battery kit is also good to have because it comes with a battery holder/charger and a slim holder as well.
samsung oem qi back cover, iblason armorbox case, itian wireless car charger, 3m scotch double sided outdoor tape, 3 coil desktop qi charger. thats all you need.
-Samsung Protective cover. I've tried many cases from Spigen, and other brands, but nothing beats the OEM cover for me.
-A pack of plastic screen protectors. Spigen, iSmooth, iCarez, Halo all fit well. I haven't been happy with any tempered glass protector.
-A decent Micro SD card that fits your storage needs.
I want to suggest
Xpower 2.4A Aluminium Alloy Micro USB Cable
http://www.agrade.com.hk/index.php/...inium-alloy-micro-usb-cable.html?options=cart
can also find it on Ebay
There's a crazy deal on flash cards today, 128gb at 80$.
For must have though my list is short
Case since accidents happen, I use a 10$ caseology who's gaudy label came off with some rubbing alcohol.
Tempered glass screen protector if you're willing to get it at bestbuy, so they'll put it on and you can return it instantly if there's haloing. They tried four protectors until one worked, curved glass sucks.
High amp car charger for rapid charging, mpow is usually on sale. Mine was 8$.
I like a flat wireless receiver tucked behind the back door since I randomly find myself around wireless chargers, make sure it supports nfc if you use nfc.
Firekat rom to double your battery life since zerolemon is expensive
I've just bought Note 9 from Amazon and wallet case with it - BENTOBEN Ultra Slim Thin Fit Folio Genuine Leather Kickstand Shockproof Credit Card Slots Protective Flip Cases
I also have in my car wireless charger. My problem is, whenever I put my phone in the charger, I have to remove it from the case. So I thought that I need to buy something like wallet case that enable me to use wireless charging. Is that thing even exist? I want wallet case cause I want to keep my credit cards with my phone.
Can you guys help me please?
I've been eyeing this wallet case made by Case-Mate on Amazon. I think I'm going to buy it. They claim it supports wireless charging without removing the phone.
https://www.amazon.com/Case-Mate-No...1273302&sr=1-5&keywords=note+9+case+mate&th=1
My coworker has the same case for his Note 8 and said it works fine with his wireless chargers, so I think the Note 9 version should work.
You should have no issues using any wallet case with a wireless charger. The only reason you would have an issue is if the wallet case you have is either too think or is made with metallic elements.
