Updating after the root ??? - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Friends , I have xperia Z3 Dual, 6633. How to upgrade to the firmeware .96 after the root ???
Not against firmeware to the proceedings or to use PRFcreator . Someone with some help ??

The correct way to do it is to install recovery then flash a prerooted zip
Unfortunately to get a pre rooted zip you most likely have to use PRFCreator. (I am unsure why you do not want to do this) it takes 7 minutes to make a prerooted flashable zip and its its about a dozen clicks in the program to do it...

hello guys i need a little help. i am using sony xperia 2011 device which is xperia mini st15i.
its rooted with eroot on stock rom and stock kernel with locked bootloader.
i wanted to install cwm mod on my phone but i found that i cant install cwm on my device as my stock kernel does not have recovery partition and i dont want to unlock my bootloader atm. i tried xparts and xdaromhub to install cwm on my device without unlocking bl but none of the method seems to be working for me. now i am thinking to go ahead and unlocking my bl and install a custom kernel but i want to know is there any method by which i cam backup my current state of my phone i.e. in future if i want to revert back to stock rom and stock kernel with bootloader locked like it was never unlocked. if there is a method for that please tell me or if u know any other method of installing cwm without unlocking bl pls tell me that too. also i have a backup of my stock firmware from pc companion which i made .ftf file with flashtool. i have flashed it successfully in past so will that firmware relock my bootloader and revert to stock kernel and stock rom if i flash it with flashtool after unlocking bl? any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you so much for reading

You can download prerooted version of LP and then flash in recovery. You don't need back to kitkat of got root on lp.

Here you can find how to root the last version of xperia m2 firmware
Yesterday i've installed CWM via this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m2/development/d2303-clockworkmod-6-0-4-6-t3011821
And succesfully rooted: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m2/general/xperia-m2-aua-2403-root-philz-touch-t3072833
See the youtube video, easier.
(This way of root doesn't require cwm, but i used cwm for other thing.)
My phone have locked bootloader.
You can create the 18.3.1.C.1.15 Xperia M2 ftf file: http://www.xperiablog.net/2014/08/1...re-files-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool-guide/

the best way is to download superus in external SD and put device in recover and install supersu
how to put device in recovery without root ?
u can do that using the method in cyangenmod wiki page - google : install cyangenmod on sony z3
but u need to install adb and sdk to ur PC
if you find it hard the u may downgrade ur phone , root it then upgrade using pre rooted ROM

I just rooted my Z3. its fairly simple. Follow the Guide here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/guide-rootrecovery-how-to-root-install-t3017056
to summarize, what you need to do is as follows:
1. Downgrade to Android 4.4.4
2. Root the phone
3. Update back to Android 5.1.1 using pre-rooted roms
All tools, detail step by step is at the link i shared above. worked for me.
