[Completed] [Q] How to make my phone use internal memory for storing files - XDA Assist

Hello, I have a Jiayu G4S phone (1GB RAM/4GB ROM version). It has android 4.2.2 and by default it uses only external SD micro card for saving files (photos, music, ebboks, downloads from internet,...). Internal memory is used for installing apps, but that can be changed to external memory. I used to have SD micro card inserted and everthing worked ok. But then my SD card reader stopped recognizing SD card. I sent phone back for repair, but they did not repair it (although they say they did). I tried different cards in phone, but they don't work. Some are not recognized at all, some are recognized with message, that SD card is corrupted and I should try formatting. When I try formatting, nothing happens. I tried MTK Eingineer Mode - SD card test...but it says there is no card in phone. Is there anything else I could do to fix that myself?
Because if I send it back again I will have to be without phone for another month or two and I can't do that...
I was also thinking - is there a possibility I could make my phone save files to internal memory instead of external SD card?

[Completed] 4.4.4 Move app data to SD, rooted, Nothing works

Hi guys,
I have android kitkat, which is OS with has disabled function of moving app data (obb files) to external SD card. My device is Huawei Ascend G620S-L01 (same as Honor 4 Play). I have root. I am browsing this and other forums for 2 days. Clean master says that my device does not allow to move apps to SD. Other app says that there is no need to move apps, because sd card is shared (wtf?). Then I tried mounting (Foldermount) and many other mount programs, but they do not function (app misses its data and tries to download them again). I tried to reboot, I checked if the files are really mounted etc. I tried also SD unlockers. I must be doing something wrong or what. Please help me. Thank you

link2sd
Link2sd works fine, but does only what stock tools do - transfer the small part of the app, not the obb. There are some more tools at the bottom, but they need two separate partitions on my SD. I will try to create them.
EDIT: Link2sd is not supposed to move obb files, and that is actually what I need.
EDIT2: My phone has also emulated SD card, may this somehow influence the problem?
EDIT3: I really think it has something to do with the emulated SD card, because I tried another app - root all data2sd, which creates its own partition, and should create it on SD card. In my mobile, it creates partition on emulated SD.
stupid me
Okay guys, I am feeling so stupid, 3 days of trying and everything, HUAWEI HAS AN OPTION FOR IT I just had to switch SD card as main memory, and *it works*, I moved all data to sd card and it works. No root was needed. No app needed. You can close this thread.

[Completed] Memory Error - Memory write protected. Could not edit files. Need Help ?

Hi there, I have formatted my micro mini sd card a lot of times, a few quick formats and a few hard formats. I've tried to erase all data on sd card is well, still shows files on card. When I view my photos I've captured it comes up like a paint brush brushing over my entire photos grey. Then it says sd card unmounted. If I turn phone off and back on, I go into my gmail to save images and then my images come up corrupted once I view them in my gallery. Takes a while to load. I've tried the regedit stuff, disk management stuff, disk list stuff. Haven't found any of those to work. I have a 32gb micro sd card in a Sony Xperia Arc S LT18i. Please help.

[Completed] Internal Storage got disconnected while formatting!

Hello Everyone!
I have been using the Samsung Galaxy S II (Intl) for over 3 years now. Hence I decided to move all my data on my phone to my PC and format the Internal and External SD Cards. The External SD Card went well, but while formatting the Internal SD Card, Windows could not complete the format, most probably because the phone got disconnected midway. (I was not present; I kept it for formatting and went away, when I came back the phone was switched off; the ROM must have crashed for some reason). Thus, my phone is now not able recognise my Internal Storage (even Titanium Backup cannot detect it). When I connect it to the PC, the error displayed is "No disk in drive. Please insert a disk in the drive".
My phone is working fine with all apps working fine, and app data intact (I have taken a Titanium Backup on the SD Card anyway). But there is no Internal SD Card for the apps to use.
What can be the possible solution to this problem?
Is it possible to format the entire Internal hard disk and repartition it? In that case, will I be able to enter download mode and install a ROM? In case I have to repartition it, what are the different partitions by default and what is their default size?
Please Help!!

[Completed] Android Marshmallow SD Card Adoptable Storage issues - not mounting / not insterted

I need help desperately.
Phone: Moto X Play - Android 6.0.1
Today I took a couple photos and as it was writing on the SD card, the card suddenly stopped working. I have all my photos I am desperate to get off the phone.
The SD card has been formatted as internal storage or adoptable storage and can only be read by the one cell phone.
There is an error message that comes up saying, please insert Lexar SD Card. When I reboot the phone it finds the card and attempts to mount it for about 1 min then stops and says 'card not inserted'.
I've tried this card in another android phone and it detects and reads but can't load because it has been formatted as internal storage for a different phone.
I've tried to read it on the PC, but it is not formatted in a way that PCs can read it.
I've tried to erase the internal cache.
Please I am really desperate for any ideas to extract the photos from this card - they are very valuable to me and unfortunately I haven't backed up the most recent family trip photos.
A saving grace is that I have the high res versions (not full res) backed up on google photos, but I would really like the originals for printing.

(Help) Memory card not detecting - Moto G3 Turbo

Hi Mates,
I don't know if I am posting at the right section, guide me if I am posting it wrongly.
I am seeking help on Moto G3 Turbo (Stock - Not rooted ), which I have been using for a month now. Memory card was working perfectly. - I use it as an internal storage.
But last night I used cache cleaner app and cleaned cache.
After the cache got cleaned, after few minutes, I got the pop stating, please reinsert your memory card. Since them I have already restarted & reinserted my phone for 30+ times.
Tried to put that memory card on a samsung device, it says memory card has some unsupported files, I must format it before using it. ( which I dont want to )
Can anyone tell me what I have messed and how I can fix this. Will be thankful to you.
First, you should post in Q/A and Help Section
Maybe your SD card is corrupted.
But you should try this first.
Attach memory card on computer.
On Windows
Right Click on Memory Card Drive Goto Properties > Tools > Disk Checkup
It will check for any problems (if any) and after it is completed, your memory card will be working.
If above method fails, try EaseUS Data Recovery to get all (almost) the files on memory card out in the computer, then format it.
If memory card partition is not detected, reinsert the card into the phone and download an app called 'Aparted' and try to format from there.(Last and Final Option from my point of view )
Your card should now be working fine
