as ubuntu is offering free os for android devices, can any one port ubuntu os for a117. as iam learning porting, iam not able to look at it.

I have one development board and ported CM12 on it, Now I want to port Ubuntu touch.
I'm following https://developer.ubuntu.com/en/start/ubuntu-for-devices/porting-new-device/ guilde for porting Ubuntu touch but have some questions
1) I have build CM12 from source so do I need to download android source using "phablet-dev-bootstrap phablet" command ?
2) CM12 is ok for porting Ubuntu touch or do I need to switch back to CM10.1 ?

you could try to dualboot as a experiment.
Good day to you all. Does anyone have knowledge of porting firmware? Who can try to make this firmware for our device? The fact is that the firmware is not based on Android, but on Linux.
I would really like to test this firmware and diversify our device with firmware.
