If I go to cm12 plus firmware update can I restore cm11s backup?
You can, but first you need to flash the KitKat firmware and KitKat modem.

Is there a flashable zip for stock 44s?
I want to be able to flash stock with twrp and flash su right after to keep my root.
Cm12 nightly is a bit too slow at this point.
There's a stock rooted 44S ROM by Calkulin in the dev section.

Howdy, I've been running various Lollipop builds and ran the firmware update for bacon on my OPO over the last week or so, and I want to revert back to kitkat/stock. I found the flashable 4.4.4 zip, but it didnt work. I also had tried to restore a backup from stock but it acted strange, wouldnt wake up and was generally no good. What am I missing? Am I stuck on 5+?
You need to flash the modem and firmware files from kk.....download a fastboot package and flash only those required

if you open the firmware upgrade you can find the partition that must be restored from kitkat trough fastboot.

Thank you very much.one more thing buddy, can you share any link for multirom patched AK kernel for cm 11s as I couldn't find any in specific thread. I would like to dual boot it with Lollipop ROM. Sorry to keep on bothering you
No problems, here you go:
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B98G0KTJwnBFM09OTEZ2NnVfekE/edit?usp=docslist_api
You need an unlocked bootloader and custom recovery to flash firmware though. And this is only the firmware, not the full OS.
Can't help with the kernel though, sorry.

Hello, could I get a link as well?
I'm rooted with Custom Recovery, but I don't want to use fastboot as I'm having some adb driver funkiness.
So this way I can just flash 44S directly from the recovery after performing a Wipe..
I was happy on 1+1 44S and then immediately after OTA update to 05Q, keyboard because super laggy / touchscreen issues. Want to go back in a least painful way. All backed up now.
Thanks ahead of time!
My index thread contains all the links you need:

Hi all,
I had updated my OPO from Stock KitKat to Stock Lollipop CM12S via OTA link using TWRP recovery.
Then I got a CM12S update. I flashed it via TWRP using another OTA link. (It added Voice WakeUp).
Then I decided to flash CM 12.1 Nightly. I don't really like it, so I would like to go back. But I'm just not sure how..
Should I flash Stock CM11S, then update to CM12S without Voice WakeUp, and ultimately update to the latest CM12S?
Or are there better ways to do this?
I heard that downgrading from Lollipop to KitKat might cause some modem issues.. So I'm a little bit afraid of doing this right now..
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I got safely back to Cyanogen OS 12. I flashed CM11S via fastboot. Then I installed TWRP recovery. After having installed TWRP I flashed the OTA update to the "old" Cyanogen OS 12 (without Voice Wakeup support), then i flashed the update which brought me to the newest Cyanogen OS 12.
Didn't you name a backup?

No, I haven't made a backup.
By the way I tried my way of updating it and it worked.
Thanks for your reply though ?
I am thinking of trying out MIUI on my OPO. I have lollipop on there now. I know that MIUI is 4.4.2 based and will need a 4.4.2 modem. So my question is do I need to do a full flash back to OPO factory (4.4) and then go to MIUI or can I do straight there from LP?
Thanks!
Flash CM11S then without rebooting flash MIUI rom....you can also flash MIUI directly on top of Lolipop rom (clean flash tho) and manually flash modem firmware via fastboot...
