So i was flashing roms on my 1+1, then suddenly the OnePlus logo on starting did not show up so i ran a backup .Now it is there but i cannot see the powered by android .I mean that there is some kind of error.
Can anyone help me get back the original logo?
It's due to a bug in recent builds, it's nothing to worry about, it'll be rectified in a future firmware update.

Ohh I though i did something wrong but i am trying to say the Powered by Android logo.
If it is a fault then it is alright for me .
And yeah last question which rom are you using?
It doesn't really matter which ROM I'm using, they're all pretty good, I change ROMs pretty frequently.

I'm not angry at all. There are threads discussing people's preferences for ROMs and for discussing battery life in the General Section, take a look at those.

So I thought I`d give CM a try but not sure if I like it, I really don`t want to have to use the tool to completely return back to stock as it erases the internal SD card, flashing roms and wiping with Clockworkmod does not erase my internal storage so if theres a almost pure stock rom what is the best one for that? I was looking at this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2516248
I've tested a few and so far my favourite is Cataclysm.

Purity ROM
Hi,
The most stock rom: [ROM] Google Nexus 5 [4.4.2] [STOCK] [10 Dec] [deodexed & odexed rom 4.4.2] or [ROM] [STOCK] Android 4.4.2 KOT49H - Rooted/Busybox/Odexed (12/10/13)...
Sorry but Purity or Cataclysm rom are far from stock, with all the features availables it's not the most stock roms (even if based on AOSP or stock).

guess its hard to flash everything except the userdata.img in fastboot for you? that will get you stock without losing data.

Are you kidding me? It`s not like I`m "New" Here I`m not arguing but I`m pretty sure I know what fastboot is as I have used it when I first went back to stock, and I extensively had to use it back on my HTC On. I get where your coming from as the nature of my question That I wanted to be stock away from stock if that makes since. I have loaded a ODEX Version of the rom I linked with Xposed & Gravitiy and running a custom kernel and things seem nice now

I didn't make the joke. I only explained it
Many users here use toolkits and learn nothing because they used them. You must forgive us when we joke about this sort of thing as it's just us trying to blow away some of teh frustration we have from trying to help people who have (Through no fault of their own) been suckered into the toolkit crutch

LOL. I havent used a toolkit in a long time and when I did it never really worked right lol. I`m the same way sometimes with the Joking . I have a thread on here for a guide to flash back to stock on the G2 and get a lot of (No OP readers) lol
Viking37 is right, the STOCK rom is the closet to STOCK you will get. Just download one of the two roms he linked and flash it like any other (custom) rom in CWR
This seems to be a "best ROM" thread that being said... Most ROM's have the "stock look: that you are looking for they just have extra options under settings. You don't have to change any of them. I recommend purity. I stay away from CM (just not a fan).
So I had some very weird issues with my battery as highlighted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53187219#
I have done RUUs, and now have even gotten the battery changed. Still the same issues. At this point, how can this be a battery or hardware issue? The new battery behaves the same way.
What can I do to solve this?
* The above linked thread was closed so I can't post there anymore... hence this thread.
Why not just post in the other thread you created? The thread above was closed because you had duplicated posts, which isn't allowed. They left your new thread open though.

Nah no worries, wanted to post in the thread that was closed cause it was about this issue. The new thread was a separate issue(that you helped solve). I figured it wouldn't make sense to put different conflicting issues in the same thread so as not to confuse people helping and people seeking help...
So the problem still occurs after changing the battery?

Yeah it does. Same issues same sort of battery drain patterns. Don't know what to do about it.
Do you think the kernel/firmware/radio could have anything to do with it?
I read in a separate thread about a guy solving a similar issue by going back to s-on from s-off. That shouldn't make a difference should it?

It shouldn't make a difference, but it might, stranger things have happened I suppose. I'd give it a shot, if it works I'd use the phone as normal for a week and then get s-off again.

Yeah you're right why not try this as well. Nothing else has worked so far, maybe this might.
Is there a specific process to follow to get back to s-on? I don't want to mess things up further due to lack of knowledge...
The post that I read going to s-on would fix the issues says to use this command: Fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
Is that correct?
That's the right command.

And just to double triple check, I just boot into bootloader, go to fastboot and run that?
I don't need to RUU, lock bootloader, do any other stuff? Right now I'm on AOKP and not stock kernel either. I won't get bricked if I just run the command from fastboot will I?
Thanks for sticking around and answering my questions btw
Just boot to the bootloader and give the command, no other messing around is necessary.

Okay, am s-on now, will test it out and report back!
I have a n6 right now. Stumbled upon someone looking to trade their opo 64gb for an lg g3 I had on my company account with Verizon(I switched to at&t). I see development is similar to the nexus. Should one stick to twrp or is cwm just as good? Any roms to avoid? Xposed play well with any?
In my opinion TWRP is superior to CWM. It wouldn't be right to warn against any ROMs, that wouldn't be fair to the devs, and really it goes against the spirit of XDA. Xposed is pretty popular, works just as well as on any other phone.

Some Roms have more bugs than others. Once I get the device, I will unlock the bl and go to town then.

Yeah that's true, but that doesn't mean the dev isn't working hard to overcome them. And that's why it isn't fair to badmouth a ROM. It's been specifically stated by the mods that it's ok to post which ROM is your favourite in the "best/favourite ROM thread", but it's not ok at all to make negative comments about a ROM.

The discussion is pointless, you're not going to get advice to stay away from ROMs. It really isn't that hard to research the ROMs yourself. If you read through the last ten pages of a ROM thread you'll quickly discover if there are bugs or not. If you flash a ROM and don't like it, just flash another one, simple.

There are always things that could be buggy in a nightly. But I think your question is more along the lines of, "is there anything in this that is going to make my phone stop working for certain key things?" It should be plenty stable. But honestly if they knew it was completely stable, they wouldn't consider it a nightly. I have been using it without any trouble.
I would say do a nandroid of your current stuff, and flash away. You will quickly find out within a few days if there is anything you can't live with.
I recently switched to cm12 nightly.. And i am happy doing so.. Its much stable and battery backup has been optimised...

It's been about 2 years since a ROM has been built for this device, yet all other variant S3's are still developed for to this day, why?
Yeah, it would appear that way. I am looking today for a ROM as well. Mine is not a phone I use anymore for anything other than to play music, so I"m tempted to try a verizon or sprint ROM ha ha.

Verizon(d2vzw) ROMs should not be too hard to port to d2usc.
Try this for starters, you'll need more info to go with this.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069850
Also, you might be able to flash it without changing anything, only issue might be camera or WiFi not working.

I've modified lineage OS for the d2vzw to flash on a d2usc, it had quite a few issues which I believe are related to the baseband. Sound, cellular, etc would not work at all.

I flashed straight up d2spr, and d2vzw and both worked ok, but as it was just stated, the sound wouldn't work, and probably the other things mentioned, I mostly noticed the sound, which is a deal breaker, because I'm using the device for sound lol.

I guess we're just out of luck :crying:
Anyone want to trade a d2usc for a d2vzw?
After a while of playing around, if you flash systemless SuperSU after forcing d2vzw lineage on it, it fixes sound for the next boot but the notification is stuck fading in and out like it's booting even if it finished long ago. I'm looking into building Lineage for d2usc, I'm new to it though.

I don't think CM/Lineage is a TouchWiz ROM though.
Just realised it also points out how to port AOSP, but it says both ROMs must be the same Android version. The point of porting a d2vzw ROM to d2usc is for 7.1.1 which the d2vzw has but the d2usc doesn't. I've only seen 5.0 for the d2usc that has working sound and cellular.
Nevermind read a thread on how to convert sdat to img vise versa and modify it. I'll try it tomorrow.
