Hello everyone. Recently I received an LG Sunrise from Straight Talk. Incidentally, this had to be sent back 3 weeks after purchase because of the home process force closing. Now I have a replacement from Straight Talk and would like to keep the extended warranty included.
However, I'd REALLY REALLY like to disable or delete McAfee. It eats the battery and I use CM Security anyway. So, I need to root, disable or delete the software, and then unroot (for warranty purposes). But so far I haven't found any threads on it, nor am I sure where to start.

I have been reading your articles regarding rooting but I guess it won't hurt if you provide me detailed discussions regarding my specific unit. Thank you for your generous assistance.

Wow, there is very little info about this device. I don't think there will be any upgrade path to Android 5.0, official, or otherwise. As for root, should be able to use any generic ICS rooting method (KingoRoot may work, KingRoot should based on the description).

I am new to the concept of flashing my L33L (Sunset LTE version from LG). I want to move out of the version installed on the phone allowing me to use other networks. I tried to google and search for this but to no avail. I also tried to check for steps or ideas to do this on xda . If I have not done a complete search or have to post in a different forum, I would be glad to know. If there is nothing wrong there, I would like to have some helpful material to flash.
1) What are the compatible firmware for my phone(L33L) to move out of the current state of lock ?
2) What are the flash tools available to do the unlocking / firmware flash on the phone (L33L) ?
3) Are there two different s/w & tools to perform unlocking & flashing for L33L?
4) Finally, a pointer to the set of steps to do this would be helpful. I might have gone through the ones available in google but would like to know it again to confirm .

Howdy. I got a sweet replacement for my Acer Iconia A500 recently, after 5 yrs it finally bit the bullet.
Attached a screen shot of system page
MODEL : Prime10ES
processor : UltraOcta-A83
Android : 5.1.1
Firmware : v2.1rc3
Kernel ver : 3.4.39 [email protected]#40
build # : LMY48B.20150813
Anyone have any idea on the following:
a) A custom rom for this system
b) the actual maker of the tablet
c) whether it can simply be rooted?
d) any other assistance (like maybe a forurm??)
This was a tablet purchased at Target for $120.
I ask because at minimum putting this into a forurm would have helped me when I searched before buying to see if I could root it.
Not bad, runs much faster then the iconia, but need to still get rid of junkware
