Hello all,
this year sinterklaas brought tablets for my girls. They were, obviously, budget tablets as they're still young but i want them to learn sooner rather than later how a tablet works so they'll get interested in that technology and grow further as we develop new techniques. (my wife doesn't even know what a browser is for example, i want to avoid that at all cost)
the problem is that the software provided isn't an official android version but some chinese malware version wich i can't even use to set up a google account because "the connection isn't safe" according to google.
I want to root these tablets and install a custom childproof rom but i've got no idea where to begin and how to do it..Is there anybody here who can help me out with this?

The reason i want to change this is because the tablet keeps pushing to install chinese apps that you need to pay for. And right now it's not really a big deal because my kids can't go online for the time being but eventually they will discover the world wide web and learn how to write instead of just play games and i want that to happen in an enviroment controlled by me instead of some chinese guy who's spying on us.

Hello,
I've had 4 phones stolen from my store during a break-in and one of them is still configured with our account, so I can install software through the Play Store.
I also have the Life360 locator activated.
But even with these features the police can't seem to find reason to look into it.
Is there a way for me to install any software/app that can either record conversations or take/upload pictures from the people who stole it?
I'd like to recover the phones, especially since my insurance won't pay for them.

It's a lock screen, I don't know the name of it (obviously), and from what I remember of it it's pretty cool. It features like, a hidden unlock method, something in background that you interacted with and it unlocked your phone. I dunno, I don't remember much, and it's not like the world will end if I don't find it. Heck, it might not even exist and I've somehow remembered something that doesn't exist, or maybe it's not available anymore. But anyway, if you do know what it is any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers guys.

I'm working on an Android Based Robot, and I have difficulties to find answer to my questions.
I would like to use a SoC (system on chip, basicly creating a device from the chip) with android to manage all the controle.
I'm wondering what are the constraintes and limitations for using the android system.
(for instance can I use all the services such as android voice recognition ? Is there any declaration/fee to use android as OS ?)
I have been looking online already but it seems I'm not using the right keywords.
And it seems really uneasy to contact people from android.
Do you have any idea where should I look ?
Also if you have experience/answer, I would be happy to hear it.
