Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Go to Settings, then select the Apps section, scroll down to the app you want to uninstall and select it, once inside that app screen select the "wipe data" option and then select the "uninstall" option.

I am using a Dream with CM6RC3.
I am trying to download SU file manager and terminal app.
The market is stuck on "authorizing purchase". If I try to click cancel download, the market force closes. Any tips on fixing this?
from google forums:
1. Uninstall the application that is hanging up in the Market.
2. From the home screen, select "Menu" > "Settings" > "Applications" > "Manage Applications".
3. Select the "Running" tab.
4. Scroll down and select "Market".
5. Select "Clear Data", and then confirm.
6. After the data is cleared, go back to Home, and run the Market.
7. Redownload the application, and all should go just fine.
As yesterday I am just searching some apps on play store but at instant my play store closes itself automatically & screen shows application installed successfully. & then my antivirus start scanning app, it started scaning only when new apps are installed. But actually I had not installed any App/UPDATE. Also I have checked in history manahe apps there was no any new apps installed! I was just searching on playstore. & also there is no any autoupdate box is checked, means there is no chance to download update automatically without my knowledge or permission. So is it possible that someone trying to hack my phone by installing hidden apps. If yes! Then how do I check/protect. Please don't advise to do hard reset as I have so tired doing this to install all apps again & again.

Use titanium backup, make sure your only backing up apps that you know are yours. Than factory reset.

Do the following:

2. Type "adb shell" and press enter
3. Type "su" and press enter
4. Type "cd /data/app" and press enter
5. Type "ls" and press enter
6. Find the filename(apk) of the file that you wanted to remove

8. If you can't find it at the /data/app
9. Type "cd /system/app" and press enter
10. repeat step 5 to step 7
The app known as Play Store Services was pushed to every device with 2.2+ some time ago, I'm guessing you just got it now

On the home screen, press the menu button, select manage apps, select on whichever app you want,
Then you get various options like force stop, clear data/clear cache, move to sd/phone...etc...
That's how you do it ! Enjoy and dont forget to hit the thanks button!:good:
Hi, I'm using Sony Xperia C3 D2533 android version 4.4.2. When I try to install the .apk file of NBA 2K15 v1.0.0.58, it will say "Application is not installed." and "Out of Space" even though there is enough. I've went to the app/data but there isn't an Odex file for it because has not been installed yet and I do not use Titanium Backup. Please help me if you have any solution. :crying: :crying:

By the way its .Apk files.
but try changing the installation location of your apps.
If you don't know what's that or your phone doesn't have the option to configure it, then simply install any app that can help you change your apps installation location. I recommend Lucky patcher or rom toolbox (they both require root) but you can find others at play store.
In lucky Patcher, Select Toolbox (It's at bottom )> Select default Install location > select "Auto Location".
or
In Rom ToolBox, in main Tool tab> select Configure Apps2SD> and select Auto.
Done.

Thanks, but it still does not work, I've used Lucky patcher to change the installation location but it still prompts " Application is not installed".
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. It sounds to me like you're trying to get a paid app for free. If I'm wrong please correct me. XDA does not support or condone the use of warez. Please support the developers.

Try downloading apk with different browser
for me, goto settings, tap the search on top, type in 'unk', choose top return - 'Install unknown apps' . . .
goes to new srcn that sez 'Special app access', go down ten lines to 'Install unknown apps' and there is an app list with allow / not allow
goto your browser ( kiwi, brave ) and toggle to allow.
hth !
Reinstall the rom
