Guys do you know about any app that can track which application or service is using network/WiFi in real time
PS: I've used many firewalls but it does not make any real time tracking.

In general, there will be a web application for your router management. And perhaps there will be an mobile app as an alternative for you to manage your router and wifi.

Good idea, I sometimes go through my Accounts and Sync settings to make sure I only sync things I really need and not too often. Otherwise it kills battery.
An app that shows applications using internet or even processes would be nice. Because some apps connect periodically, the app would simply need to log App/Procvess name and Date/Time interned has been accessed. Maybe even show for how long?
Also I wonder if the application could have option to Block specified app from being able to access internet... for example have a schedule, only allow given app to connect from 9AM to 11PM, to save battery during night.
I like the idea to Just like how you can use Zone Alarm on Windows, And other firewalls right?
I think there's an app called network traffic stats, which logs network activity. It needs 2.2 though.

Thanks for help. I found it in the market, works great.
But the app I'm searching should work as follows:
It shows all apps and system apps (like wheather etc.) as like the app network traffic stats AND if the app has the permission to connect to internet automatically (for example there is an icon on the right from which you can recognize whether the app auto-connects or not). At the first start of the app it analyses all the apps on the phone and shows them in list like the app network traffic stats. And everytime you install a new app the new app will be included to this list.
Does something like this exist?

Trying to find a decent firewall for blocking apps to access Internet (wifi, mobile) with custom schedule.
I want to be able to block apps from accessing the Internet from 8am till 3pm for example.
Please advice any app that can do this.
Thank you

Hmm. Not really sure, because this isn't something I've used in a couple of years, but this one is highly regarded:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.googlecode.droidwall.free&hl=en
If it doesn't have the custom schedule included, you might need to combine it with an app like Tasker, or there's another free one that popped up on the XDA News the other day: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2623994
Define larger interval instead
This solution is quite good but sometimes I need the notifications but not every 5 seconds or so but I want to allow the app to check every half an hour.
I've described it more thoroughly in the following StackOverflow thread:
h**p://android.stackexchange.com/questions/68234/how-do-i-disable-mobile-data-access-for-certain-apps-at-certain-intervals
Thanks!

If your phone is rooted, it is easy possible, for example firewall in official play store Avast Mobile Security. No possibility without root.

You can still do it without root privileges.
Use LostNet Firewall.
It creates a fake VPN connection which intercepts all traffic and filters it based on your rules.
It allows to block some apps while on mobile.
You can also block some apps at all times.
You can block access to any country.
New features are released every week.
The next release will have 3 new ways of blocking networking traffic.
You can also use Mobiwol. Is free from Google Play and it also uses the VPN features to block and allow apps based on what you tell it to do. It also blocks Foreground and Background apps as well.

you can use 360 security, it has a data monitor and a per app firewall and works without root.

VyprVPN. Use it on two laptops and on the phone. Its very good.
Some additional features to prevent DNS leaks and another feature that i forgot the name of that disguises the fact you are using a VPN for traffic(Useful for the office, that blocks all VPN connections over the WiFi.)
Tunnel Bear as suggested by @jhurtault is really good...
Vypr is good for cross platform compatibility...
PureVPN one subscription work on computer + Android phone

Hi all.
So my mobile provider offers mobile data and what they call "socializer" data too. My current plan is 1.25gb of mobile and 1gb of socializer data. I know that you can set data caps on data so you don't exceed you monthly usage but I had an idea of an app that you can set data limits in and once that limit is reach only selected apps will use mobile data.
I know that IFTT is a very powerful app but didn't see anyway of cooking up such a recipe. Is there a way to do this with IFTT or is there any other app available that already does this? If so I haven't managed to find it. If I knew anything about app development I would be creating an app to do this myself but I know nothing of android development or app development.
Any one keen to have a go at creating an app like this or maybe tell me how I might go about developing this idea into a functional app??
Cheers all
