Hi, my friend has bought a phone from China.. its an Eastcom M3 but just by looking at it, it appears it has some very dodgy Android version... even the bootloader i all in Chinease - the apps are in English and looks as if they have flashed GAPPS into it as the Playstore works - - im wondering if i can flash the firmware then instal a European software on it? i have looked through the various forums and been directed to this http://www.needrom.com/download/alps-m3/ and downloaded version 3.24..
I'm just wondering if anyone else has done this with thiss phone and how they got on and what way i would flash the firmware so its English.

A few days ago I had accidentally removed stock rom of my phone, I searched the internet and found its stock rom on needrom dot com but after installing that rom I couldn't use my sim card. I have a zopo Zp990, C7.
To say it has problems would be an understatement. It isn't the best purchase I have ever made.
Long story made short, the zopo is so buggy I tried using it for about a month, fiddled with it for a couple more and then put it back into its box. I recently got it out to use as a wifi device (because that's all it is good for) and got to thinking... I could use this to learn a little about the multitude of options available to Android users ( I am a complete "Beginner" ).
Unfortunately I cant find much in the way of info/resources that are zopo zp990 specific.
The device is 2x32gb Captain S model running 4.2.1 and it is rooted (with eRoot).
My next step was going to be the installation of CWM or TWRT, then do a backup and try installing a 4.4.2 rom.
The problem is that I have been completely unsuccessful in finding a CWM or TWRT version that is stated as being compatible with the C7 Captain S. I understand (have seen) that some people use variants intended for other devices but I don't have the competence/experience (nerve) to try that path.
Does anyone have a suggestion?

Good evening Guys, i have a problem.
Here is the situation, i bought a mobile custom version Lenovo S660w from aliexpress. This cellphone it supose that has mtk6592 on it, but after a check with Droidtools i have found that the china guy, scum on me... He sold me mtk6572( dual core) with fake firmware, so every cpu-z like tool shows that the mobo has mtk6592(octacore) in it... ... The mobile is to slow.. So I thought to downgrade to another android version (now it has 4.4.3 i think). What can i do. What is your opinion...

I recently bought an android phone. It got android 4.1.2 and is not-so-customizable!
I would like to know if any custom roms are available for this phone. Would like to get cyanogenmod 12 for it but i am sure it won't be there! Also i would like to know how to root it with TWRP! And the problem here is its a china phone and i don't want to do it in chinese and wants it in english! Is there any hope guy? I just want to make it android 4.4.4 or maybe 4.4.4+ with root so i can customize the phone and use it inthe way i like to!!!
I was using samsung galaxy s3 mini running android 4.4.4 with root....... So it's a bit tough to adjust with a chinese android phone!
