I have the APK for the Browser System App that was in .93 but it isn't included anymore in .77. Is there a way for me to re-install it in .77 as a System App again? If so, how would I be able to do this?

Damn so simple, lol, thanks!
I just tried to install the .apk with Root Explorer but it won't install it at all. The installation finishes saying "App not installed."

What exactly are you trying to do?
I uninstalled htcclockwidget and world clock to install nexus 4 clock, but it didn't work. Now I'm trying to reinstall those apps, but it doesn't work. I used root explorer to move the apks in the system/app folder to install.

are you installing the apks? thaat probably wont work, what you would do is take the apks and move it into system/apps using a file explorer that has root access like rootexplorer paste it back into the system/app directory with all the other system apps and set the correct permissons and reboot and you should be okay

i have already downloaded it, but it won't install
copy it to /system or the file where you find the apk files
it'll manually install.

I have xperia L c2104, rooted, bootloader unlocked.
I tried to install system aps( walkman, album and movies) which are ported from Z2.
Movies app works fine.
Walkman didn't get installed , so installed through apk file.
Album is crashing and I am not able to install apk file.
Is there any way to uninstall it and install again?

Hello , I have deleted Camera App defaut and when i try to reinstall it , failed , so please help me with flashable file or anything to do please
If you have the original apk it's enough to copy that file into /system/priv-app/ and give it 644 permission, then reboot and it's done.

Yes i haven't touch it before , I have desintall it with titanium backup accidentaly
It has to be out in the "system" apps folder. I don't think you can just install it like a regular apk.

You can't install it the normal way.. You have to copy the apk AND the odex file to /system/app

Hi,
I'm running the latest 5.1.1 stock Deodexed from Tekxodus (official TMO) and have been trying to convert Textra into a system application.
Titanium backup just stays at processing.
I've tried copying the folder manually to /system/app - but it doesn't show up after reboot.
Is there another method I should be looking at?
Try using lucky patcher
I had similar problem with converting xmod to a system app with titanium backup
But lucky patcher worked like a charm

I don't see any option to convert the app in there. It just browses the files.
I've tried copying it manually to both /System/Priv-App/ and /System/App but at no success.
If I can get Textra to install as a system-app it will allow MMS of Wi-Fi on TMO roms.
Is there a way to Deodex the APK itself?

Check again
See attached photo
Long press on the app you want to convert and you will see the option "move to system/app"
And since it is not a system app it is already deodexed
Only apps in system/app or system/priv-app are odedex in stock roms

Turned out I was using the wrong patcher.
I downloaded the correct APK, and it worked perfectly.
Thank you!
