[Completed] Can one solve a bad sensor orientation in apps like Cardboard VR - XDA Assist

in Cardboard Vr and all other VR apps, Yaw motion does pitch and Pitch motion does Yaw.
In other words, If I want to look at my left side, the phone will "look" down.
How can this issue be fixed? Kernel level? A running filter servioce?
I don't even know how to search this issue, and I am not a dev.
I just want to use the phone for VR+Head Tracking
Thank you
(the root issue might be the display's natural landscape orientation - the device is an Allview V1 Viper S - a rebranded Walton Primo S2)

[Completed] [Q] What does 0.0 mean for Android sensors?

I have been searching everywhere (Google, Stack Overflow, and the Android pages) but I can't seem to find a reputable source that specifically states what a value for 0.0000000 means for a sensor. I am only recording onSensorEventChanged(SennsorEvent e) results. It seems like 0.000000 could be any of these.
Sensor reflects no change (but then why is it recording?)
Sensor is updating with a value too small to record.
Sensor is recording responses based on its refresh cycle. (highly unlikely from what I've read)
There was no change in the sensor and the record merely reflects the fact that the sensor was started (unlikely because I have a lot of consecutive data points)
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
yzpaul
Hi,
I found one thread that may or may help you,
> Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III > Sprint Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Q] Proximity sensor is always "On". Can I calibrate it?
Otherwise, since this probably is not a device specific question, I'd ask here....

Thank you. Thread closed.

[Completed] [Q] Movement detecctor

I'd like to have the movement detector on, and also have the software send 3 photos a day. Is this possible?
The movement settings says only take photos when movement, I'd like it to do both.
How can I get 3 photos a day sent - I can't work out how to do this.
thanks
Hi there,

[Completed] [Q] Is it possible to get microphone specs / infos within an Android app ?

Hello,
This is my first question (searched for the answer but did not find !) and I hope I'm posting at the right place.
I'm currently working on an Android app, and I would like it to be able to get access to the microphone sensitivity or at least model / reference.
I found a bunch of applications on the play store which can tell almost everything about built-in cameras / sensors etc. but nothing concerning the microphone.
I get a feeling that this info may be somewhere in /dev but can't manage to get to it.
Thanks a lot !

[Completed] Nintendo Gamecube Wavebrid on Android

I have my gamecube wavebird hooked up to my device and I was wondering if there was any way anyone knew of to get some actual use out of it instead of it just being a novelty because in its current state to me that is all it is. The main joystick doesn't seem to work, all of the buttons seem to be functioning as the same input, some sort of double click. The dpad works fine and the cstick seems to function also. I could use a ps4 controller for things just as easily but I love the feel of wavebirds in my hands. I would much rather use it.
Here is a logcat of the error I keep getting. I am not surehow it came to be but this keeps popping up now when i open certain apps. it started when i was trying to map the usb key settings
