Thanks. As ive mentioned in the description, this app has been very hard to support for a number of reasons. Im hoping the recent removal of the nag screens will help us spend more time on supporting this excellent but too-complex-for-the-average-user app.
Root Call Blocker has a much larger licensed client base, so thats where the resources have previously gone. Now that its pretty much complete, we want to concentrate on refreshing Call Master. If theres community support.

1.7.3.19
• Samsung Lollipop compatibility
• Fixes

I find that i no longer really need call master since you released your Private Place app. But i still have it around just for blocking calls and spam sms. Been a user for about a year now and its not let me down yet. Thanks for keeping it updated. Left a nice comment for you on play market

Thats the general idea of PP. Some people really only need CMs privacy features, so we made them into a new app. Of course CM is a call manager, not actually built for secrecy like PP. But it can do things no other call blocker can do - its a full package kind of thing...

Hi,
First of all, it is the best blocking app I have ever used. It's truly smart, powerful and flexible.
However I have 01 problem with this app. When this app is enabled, I cannot receive the Delivery Report for each SMS I sent.
If I disable this app, the Delivery Report just works fine.
I have tested carefully and found out that this app is the culprit. I don't know if other users have the same problem as mine.
But if you can fix this issue, this is the BEST blocking app ever.
Thank you.

Lots of users have this problem. There arent however all that many users who actaully use delivery reports. Remember when gmail stopped using them? I do
Anyway, its a known issue with the STK (which for you probably wont work either right?) that is only rarely fixable. Perform a clean install, reproduce and send some logs with debugging enabled.

What does that mean?
You agree that your app is the culprit of SMS Delivery Report problem?
Does delivery report works on your phone, with CM installed?

Yes, thats what it means. And no i dont use the STK or delivery reports so i dont care if its working or not on some phones. Nor do 99.99% or my customers.
Also, heres what i said earlier:

1- what is the STK and how it's related to the CM or delivery report?
2- why didn't you test SMS Delivery Report on your phone? As a developer you shouldn't say like that - sorry no offense. It is the essential feature of SMS and it's very important to me. And I believe a lot of people also need this feature.
Thank you.

As a developer, you should probably know what the sim toolkit is. As a user, you should have carefully read the app description which says, and I'm paraphrasing here, "warning, this app may great STK functions" and so on.
Anyway man. This app was made out of love for the lowest common denominator among professional users. They dont use delivery reports, thats just your imagination. They're too polite for that.
If you're looking for a free privacy app properly coded such as this one, look in my signature.

lol "...may break STK functions"

Ok I known STK is SIM Tool Kit, but I were not sure if you meant that or not. Because STK and SMS Delivery Report are NOT related in any manner. They are totally different things.

[APP] Promethium = Geolocation & Lost Phone App

Hi,
After the success of the beta programme (over 100 people wanting to signup!) I decided it was time to re-write the platform to allow me to add more features and improve the overall "feel" of it. I also have plans to commercialise the platform, allowing it to be used by businesses/individuals who wish to monitor devices remotely.
The client application for Android is available freely from here and can be included in a custom ROM if you wish to make it persistant across factory resets. I do ask that if your are a ROM developer that you let me know before you do this, and also credit me in your release notes.
There will be 3 main licenses available to you:
Basic
Standard - comming soon

I am also considering the possibility of an API which a business could use to extract information and use it in their own way. Please contact me if you are interested.
How to install?
Remove any older versions from your device
Install the latest version from above
Goto "http://promethium.mobi" and signup
On your phone, follow the instructions to register your device against your account
Login to "http://promethium.mobi" and have fun!
I haven't moved any old accounts over, so you should signup again.

Hi,
I have created a geolocation app a bit like MobileMe or htcsense.com for any Android 2.2 device with Market. Allows you to show your device on a map and make the alarm sound, all via a web portal.
http://promethium.mobi/
This site is the main portal, There will be limited accounts to start with, just 20. These will be BETA accounts as I need people to trial the system to get feedback etc. Currently the email address has to be unique, but doesn't need to be a valid address, however this will be useful when you try and report issues.
Once you have signed up, the latest APK for the client application will be downloadable from the portal toolbar. This app will ask for the same login credentials used on the portal, and once connected you are ready to use the portal functions.
Check the site periodically, as I will allow more signups as the application progresses.
Please can we keep all bug reports within this thread, I would rather develop this in the open.
Enjoy,
Rich

OK people!
Thanks to all those who already registered, just a few spaces left if people want to signup. Please only signup if you are happy to engage in helping me improve this platform... any accounts created but not activated within a day will be removed!
So far I have made quite a few alterations, improvements to the UI on the portal, as well as more interactive feedback. This means that you need to re-download and install the client app - this will overwrite the current one, and will keep all existing settings
Enjoy!

Hmm that's weird. It didn't change the volume, but when I manually did it, the sound worked. Other than that, the app looks and works great!
One more suggestion though, idk if it's possible, could you have it force turn on gps? I normally leave it off so if I actually do lose my phone, it would just give me the giant radius of the cell tower location...
Also, I notice you're using dyndns. Is the computer/server you're running it on going to be up 24/7?
**EDIT**
One more suggestion, a "My Phone's Location" button on the portal that snaps to the location and centers it.

Sorry, starting from Android 1.5 cupcake, you cannot programmatically toggle GPS. It should be fine to leave it enabled though.

Hitting "Refresh Location" does this now, but it takes up to 5 seconds to move across the map, I will look at making it snappier

I have read through the SDK documentation and the best you can do is prompt the user to enable it. So kind of misses the point
I have also altered the JavaScript code so that clicking on the location refresh button zaps you to the marker instantly, but you still have to wait until the phone updates the server to see the latest result

Thanks for the positive feedback - glad you like it so far.
Yes, more features will be coming soon, including a "Lock" ability. This is quite a complicated one though, might require the user to select a "secure" lock screen prior to first use.
I also thought of some wicked uses for the Nexus S, but that will have to wait until I get time ( here's a clue: Peekaboo! )

[APP] Root Call Blocker - need some feedback please

Hi guys, Im the dev of Root Call Blocker, a powerful blocking solution. There have been a few reports of people experiencing issues with the data connection on the S3, which i dont have.
Could someone please let me know if this is indeed the case?
If you do find an issue please follow this procedure:
- as soon as you spot the radio without a data connection (not after a call) send logs through the "Write to us" item in Settings
- once youve sent the report, try using the Debugging tools found in settings
- if the tools do not help, please send another report - this will still help me track issues
Thanks in advance, PR after the break

Free Remote Android Support App

Zikk is unique mobile to mobile remote support app.
So what's so special about Zikk?
It is designed for consumers and not for IT depatments and operators,
therefore it is extremely simple and user friendly.
It provides full privacy protection - no screen sharing, and no access to SMS, email, etc.
It doesn't require constant internet access, and doesn't prevent the recipient from using his
phone for other purposes during the process.
It supports all Android devices (2.2 and above).
In addition to remote support, Zikk contains a local settings menu which uses Zikk's simple
and friendly interface.
When people have a hard time setting up their smartphones, they ask help from their friends
and family - Zikk enables users to help each other.
APK attached. Also available on Google-Play (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zikk.alpha)
where you will also find a short and helpful demo video. You van also find the video on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsP9-Lpfwpk).
So both people need Zikk installed, I presume? Does the person you are helping get prompted to download it?

Correct. If the selected contact does not have the app, the user will be asked to allow sending

Cool, like the concept of it. But really wish it could do the updates of apps. And PRL updated. The many things my mother and sister never do.

Great ideas for the next version - thank you very much!
I like the app a lot, but what make it one of the best is if I could move, install, & uninstall system apps, and a root file manager so that we can help rooted users also
uninstalled this app from my Galaxy Note i717 and now the home screen is gone and I cant get back into recovery?
oh cool its like remote assistance for android!

Actually a version for rooted users is an interesting idea. Not sure how common "less tech savvy"
rooted users are though. If you have more ideas for features for rooted users I would love to hear them.
I actually have a friend who is just getting into root use who calls for advice when he needs it. Let's be honest we were all beginners once and maybe could have used a little hand. He moved recently so there is distance involved now. This looks like a great idea.
I would love to have access to the settings menus, root file explorer and perhaps apps he already has installed such as set CPU or apps of that nature.
Beginners in root use are just as confused by root abilities as beginners in android are of it's stock features at times.
It would be really great to be able to start a log cat app and have your friend do something that normally causes a crash for example if they are not advanced enough to run one themselves. A current issue I have on hand. Trying to explain how to run one and sending videos to watch.
Hope this keeps going

Thanks, red indicator means missed call, and orange means canceled call, i.e. you manually dismissed it before it was established.
We'll take a look on numbers issue, but i guess currently it can not group calls when one of them comes with country code and other does not.
Fixed some bugs, new version is now available

Is there any way for an app to take over phone.apk?
I hate how it looks really nice using the app, but once you call someone - it all goes away.

Please try to open app settings and disable "Hide after call" option in Behavior section.
P.S. Taking over phone.apk is impossible without "system app" signature. We can't do this massively because it depends on specific device.

How to clear call history ?
Sent from my MI 3W using XDA Free mobile app
Not bad at all!
May I suggest:
- Support for Facebook contacts
- Seperate launcher icon for the dialer and for 'contacts/people'

Hold item in recent calls, select Clear call history from the context menu. This will erase call history related to selected contact or number.
And currently there is no way to completely clear all call history. Do you really need it? Please let me know your situation in some more details. Thanks!

[APP][4.4+] Auto-Reply to Whatsapp, Slack, Email & more [BETA]

Hey all - been working on this off and on for a while but I've finally got it in a place where it works to how I envisioned it so I'm super excited to share it with you all!
These days people expect instant replies to their instant messages & it's not always possible to oblige.
Texting & driving is dangerous, your boss probably isn't keen on your messaging at work, you might be in a meeting, you might have left your phone to go workout.. Fortunately, in any given situation, Can't Talk will respond for you.
Let people know you're busy, you're driving, you're in a meeting, you'll get back to them later.. You set the message, you set who & via which apps to respond to & Can't Talk does the rest.
It's "out of office" but not just limited to email. Whatsapp, Slack, SMS, missed calls, Telegram, Hangouts, Allo.. any app that let's you send a quick reply via it's notification - Can't Talk can respond to.
Features of note:
- You can auto reply to sms & missed calls as well as app notifications
- You can specify which apps can be replied to
- You can specific which contacts can be auto-replied to (this includes across apps like Whatsapp etc..)
- You get to specify the message that gets sent.
Features of note to come:
- Multiple profiles - so you can create a "work profile" or a "home profile" or a "driving profile" with specific responses/settings
- Contextual Switching - the ability to automatically turn profiles on & off depending on whether you're driving, in the office, at home etc..
- Contact specific responses
At this stage I'd really love your feedback on the app so far (this is a beta so there may be bugs) & more specifically what more would you want from an app like this?
Any and all feedback/suggestions would be hugely appreciated!
Beta on the Play Store here
Huge update now on the Play Store
Added support for messaging apps such as Whatsapp, Hangouts etc..
Fixed a number of bugs
Added support for contact specific replies
Would love ANY feedback on the app! Happy Friday everyone!!
New update will be on the Play Store shortly, lots of bug fixes & a much tidier UI ??
Nice app but second reply time is 12 min after the first reply to the same person that not good. it should be the frequent reply. or is it work without the internet?

Thanks for the feedback! Was it a reply to the same message, & which app was it replying too (whatsapp, sms, etc)? There is a setting under Advanced Settings to change the reply frequency, it defaults to 15 minutes meaning it'll auto reply to any NEW messages you receive from the same contact or app after 15 minutes.
If you have a better idea about how reply frequency should work I'm all ears Maybe people want the option to reply to 1 contact 1 time ever, until the app is switched off?
New beta is up! Ton of bug fixes, some layout improvements.. Feedback as always is encourage
Messenger?
Does this (can this) work with Facebook Messenger?
Finally an extremely useful app thank you...

Interesting application buddy. Love the opening animations.
One thing I found annoying, is that for almost anything I changed, there was no "Save" button. Thus I had to first click "Back" arrow and then a prompt would ask if I want to save or discard. Could have used only a single click if there was a "Save" button.
Also, there needs to be some modification for the secondary text field, e.g. Apps Secondary or Advanced Secondary.

How would you know who had joined the beta, though? When I click the "Become a tester" button on the play store, does it send my email to the developer?
after I have enabled Notification Access, it is consuming 310MB RAM in a 3GB RAM Device, is it normal?
Mi Note 3 Running Android 8.
Hi
This looks a very interesting app but I don't seem to be able to download it. There is no Install button on the app page.
Sounds nice, gonna give it a whirl
I joined the beta program through the app in the store instead of the link in the op, is it ok? Since that was a browser redirect and sign in page, so i just took a shortcut.

It should work with any apps that support quick reply from their notifications so while I've not tested it with FB messenger, in theory it should work ?

That's an excellent point - tbh the app actually left beta yesterday & I'd actually forgot to remove that caption from the OP ?
However since it was mentioned in the Portal post more people have downloaded & I'm guessing that's a big part of the reason so I'll honour that commitment.
Let's say.. anyone who's commented on the thread or liked the OP I'll send a promo code to. Anyone left hanging in 2 weeks (when the trial expires) will hopefully email me & they'll get one too. Unless anyone has a better way to go about it? ?

Tbh mate I've not looked at RAM usage at all seeing as the app does nothing in the background whatsoever - until you receive a notification/SMS etc.. although judging by my other app ReadItToMe that sounds about right.
I'll do some testing but unless it's causing you an issue I wouldn't worry
