Well i am new and i didnt know where to post this thread but i am trying to clear this apk of some sort of ad, and a grey bar with some weird text. I have no clue how to so could any1 actually remove the ads (kinda thing) and the grey bar if possible?
Could you post a screenshot?

Hello,
First, welcome to XDA .. Your post is in the wrong section, hope a MOD moves it.
AS for your ad problem, it's not very clear since there's no snapshot, but I would recommend AdAway (Google it). Handles 100% of ads.
Good luck.

So im able to change the stock sense mail icon using desktop visualizer but then when i receive an email it does not display a 1 over the icon. I do not use email notifications as i get many emails through my exchange account throughout the day and dont need to be notified but i like having the unread number on my icon. Is there any way to have a custom icon and have it display then number of unread messages over top of it? Thanks!
Anybody....
sorry bro im pretty sure that it is possible but its going to take alot of time for one to find out how to do this and they require dev skills that i dont have im just a flasher/donator... not trying to be rude in anyway but i dont think someone will want to take the time to find out how to do this... who know someone might have already done this and shared it over the internet but you just need to look for it...

Unfortunately im in no way shape or form a developer. I have a good understanding of things but dont come up with my own mod's or tweaks. I would be more than willing to do this myself if i knew how.
i would be more than happy to assist you with that. give me the icon you would like me to replace the stock one with. and just so were clear, you are talking about the green bubble on the mail app right?

Correct the green unread mail count that appears over the icon. Icon is attached. I greatly appreciate your help with this!

ok. do you want this as the app icon or as the bubble? just curious because that would cover most of the icon.
I would use the icon as a shortcut for the mail app. The unread count can be smaller if that is possible. I really appreciate this and will definitely donate when completed.
try this out. flash it via recovery.

Luckily i did a nandroid backup before attempting to flash. The file would not flash as it gave an error in ra. I toggled sig verification and still got an error. Afterwards phone wouldnt boot past splash screen and had to restore nandroid.
That's horrible. 8/

I know the triumph is the new kid on the block and doesn't have a lot of dev or theme work for it yet,but was just wondering if anyone has accomplished making the status bar and pull down black with white lettering? if so... how?
thx
I've tried a couple metamorph themes, as well as an apk I found named GingerBar, all to no avail. Hopefully with CM7 just around the bend we will see black notification bars on our triumphs
I've been trying the same thing. I've tried flashing several metamorph themes and such, even .zip to be installed from recovery. Nothing actually worked. A few metamorph themes just installed indefinitely without finishing. I did a restore from my backup just to make sure there's no damage. I made this thread on HowardForums and someone suggest UOkitchen or whatever it's called lol, but that's seems crazy time consuming. Also, someone posted a screenshot here on XDA in the show your homescreen thread with a modified status bar, might be worth sending him a message asking how, maybe he or she would be willing to help

I'm taking a trip to Ohio tomorrow morning at 4 a.m., 10 hour drive IF there's absolutely no traffic. I can't sleep, because if I do my dad'll have trouble staying awake lol. I have a car-to-wall outlet charger thingy that works with my laptop, so I'll give it a shot on the way. I'll let you know how it goes!

The metamorph themes? Which themes are you referring too?

yup yes indeed
mm themes don't change the text color, so it'll be black text on black bar and you won't see anything

Yrah they're metamorph themes. There for the status bar, status background, and for all the icons on the status bar

Yea just go to Droid pirate and use metamorph... who really needs a clock on the status bar anyways? U can theme all the notifications and status bar icons and turn the bar black.
MOTWX435KT
I'm still working on the "white text" half of the conundrum, but in the mean time something like Fancy Widgets should be good enough.
Although a black-bar-white-text theme is something that's a personal goal.
Metamorph makes it easy, but it has a lot more bugs than flashing a theme.
Does anyone know what this is and how to disable it or remove it from the notification bar?
Anyone? It wasn't there for the first day I had the phone, but popped up a few days ago and hasn't gone away since....It's starting to get annoying up in the status bar. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

hi, I had the same problem you write about... I solved it!!! ;-)
that notification is due to an add-on of "hide it pro"... " Addon #1 ".
if you have disinstalled "hide it pro", look for it in the play store and you find it in "Other Applications" and than disinstall it!
excuse for my english (...very poor!!!) try this way and if you have some problems write me!
Hey I ended up finding this out a few weeks ago. Thank you though! That was exactly it.

Hi xda developers, some of you probably have the same question so for those of you who do listen up, I want to get rid of my softkeys on the Kindle Fire HD 7 and use LMT launcher instead. So to do this I edit my build.prop with qemu.he.mainkeys=1 telling the system not to show the softkeys. The problem with this is it gets rid of the app overflow bitten in the action bar. This wouldn't be a problem but the app overflow button didn't work on lmt launcher for some reason. So I have no way to access my app settings. How do I fix this? Anyone no?

Wrong forum, please post in the Q&A section. The stock Amazon software's navigation bar sticks no matter what, even if you eliminate the bar itself, it's like they partitioned the screen to have its own special navigation bar section.
This remains the only tweak on my device that I haven't found a solution for. There are several ways to remove the soft keys, but the gap where the bar once was remains. For some reason, it bugs the crap out of me having that gap, so I'm still using the soft key bar for now (even though I also have LMT installed). If someone finally comes up with a solution for this, please speak up. Is this something that can be remedied with CM? I currently am using Kinology.

OPs can't delete their own threads. I know, retarded.
Is there any way to remove the annoying "Wi-Fi connected"/"Connected to [SSID]" ongoing notification from the notifications pulldown? I can't find any setting for it, and I'm not exactly sure how to remove it. I saw that you can hide it, once per reboot/Wi-Fi toggle, but I would like to see it permanently gone. I am running rooted stock 4.1.2, so I figure that there is some way to do it.
(I can also post a screencap if that would help explain what I am talking about).
Decompile and remove it
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
Was looking for something a little more step-by-step than that. I don't know which APK has it, nor do I know exactly how to de/recompile, or how to remove the notification from there.
Try Google search
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
I already tried Googling, although I couldn't find anything that was different than a non-root, temporary fix that simply killed the settings app. I did find another fix, but it was for a Note II, and required replacing the settings APK with a new version - something I figured was a bad idea, seeing as how it's not for this phone/ROM.
I mean search for a guide on decompiling and editing. It's not hard, I do it all the time.
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
I don't have the slightest as to which app it would be in, or what I am looking to remove. If I were to post the (correct) APK, would you be able to do it for me?
Thread moved to Q and A...
And, odds are the app you need to change is secsettings.apk
