[Q] I need to run Gear Manager on my S3 with Kitkat ROM

Is there a way to install gear manager on an S3 with a CyanogenMod rom?
I can't even install samsung apps on this rom
The rom is super fast and cool but can't get my gear to work with it

Hello guy I have been able to extract the stock app from a Sony xperia from the /system/app file and I would love to use the gallery, and some of its stock app to pimpfuse my Samsung galaxy s3 running on PA 4.5 beta 2.... Pls help what should I do

Hi,
If you have the apk file, just transfer it to your phone and install it.
You will need to enable the option to "allow installation from unknown sources", it will be somewhere in your settings under Security or Applications.
You can also find and download the latest versions of Sony stock apps like Walkman, Album, etc if you search for them online.

My name is Kuba and I have a rooted Sasmung Gakaxy S4 with Cyanogenmode 12 and Samsung Gear 2 with tizen 2. I have a working Gear Manager on my phone and when I try to connect watch with phone I see this Error : HostManager has stopped working. Film in anex.
Can U help me? What can I do it?

Ok. So Gear Manager 2.2+ is not supported for none Touchwiz roms. And specially Lollipop. You would need a stock TW Lollipop rom to have the latest Gear Manager app working. I recommend going back to Kitkat if you want gear 2 to work with none TouchWiz roms.

How to install "Samsung Gear" app on CM 12.1? (Galaxy Note 2)

Hello friends,
I have a problem installing 'Samsung Gear' app on custom rom CM 12.1.
I have installed the three APKs posted here http://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/themes-apps/samsung-gear-manager-accessory-service-t3222933
But when I try to open the app it says:
"The operating system on your phone has been modified in an unauthorized way, and is not compatible with the Samsung Gear app. Check your operating system and try again."
Is there a work around to get over this? Do I have to install a Samsung ROM?

Hmm... I neuer experienced a problem like this. I paired my S2 with a LG G2 running a modified stock ROM and with my Galaxy S5+ running the stock Firmware and a stock based custom ROM (Nova). Everything worked as expected. Installing the stock firmware of your phone would not help you eitler, because it is not in the compatibilty list for your Gear S2....

[Q] Can't connect s3 frontier with my Xperia Z3 6.0.1

Hello, i've just received my s3 frontier, i've installed the Samsung Gear app on the phone and then tried to pair it but it says "Download failed. Try Again." Someone knows how can i solve this issue? On my s3 i've installed the RXSW MM 4.0.0 rom 6.0.1, maybe i need to have the original rom installed? Thank you for any help.
