[Q] Accessing files on a rooted x10 mini with link2sd

Hi,
I have rooted my x10 mini and installed link2sd on the phone.
I have a fat32 and an ext2 partitions on my SD card.
I managed to move the aplications to the SD card but I have a problem.
Before the rooting and link2sd I had an app (twonav) which was installed on the device internal memory, and it had a data directory on the SD card in which the license file should be copied to.
Now after rooting and installing link2sd, I cant see any of the previous directories that were on the SD card before and cant acces the app directories in order to copy the license into that directory (I tried accesing the ext2 partition and there was nothing except .apk files there).
Where did all the data and folders go??
Thanks.

Unable to Install app on external sd card

Hi,
I am using XOLO Q700 and I am unable to install apps on external sd card and changed the default write disk to storage, same problem it automatically installing in the internal storage.
already my internal storage is full and unable to install any apps or update apps.
I researched in the internet heard about andoroid sdk and told to with some commands but that failed.
and some saying rooting is required.
and I want install apps on external sd card without rooting is it possible?
or can I move the game data into external sd card link that data to the app.
please help!!!!!!!!!
I am using DirectoryBind - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410262
DirectoryBind just creates the simlink that poins from intrenal SD directory to extSD.
Gama data are sometimes very huge, so it's good idea to move them to extSD (and simlink them with DirectoryBind to maintain functionality of those games).
You need ROOT to use DirectoryBind.

[Q] External sd card not writeable

I am an xperia miro user(ICS). I updated framewire recenty to 5.8 and rooted my device. Now i am having issues with my external sd card. Es file explorer although it had been granted SU permissions isnt able to create a folder ( operation failed) or transfer any file from sd card to External Sd card. Tried another app called "Rootbrowser" with which i was able to create new folder in external sd card, but still cant write to the External sd card. I have already tried formating my External sd and also changing permissions which i saw on one of the forums here.
Nothing is working for me
I have tons of space left in my External sd card and i cant use it :crying:

Ext sd problems on 5.1.1 update

Is anyone else having problems getting full R/W access to ext SD cards? Tried freeing up some space and I'm unable to delete anything on my SD card? And without root I am unable to try the kk sd fix?

Click to collapse
You should follow the guide it shows . select the root directory of the external sd.first time i pasted something to external sd with es xplorer it showed me the guide to take permission
I pressed the dots and selected show external sd and then selected the root directory of external sd.after that i could paste successfully
I'm having problems deleting files from my ext SD card, I cannot delete anything thing that is on the SD card.
Edit, just tried what you said with es explore and it worked, looks like I can't use dual file manager with this update
even if you Downdrade to 5.0.1 like i did you will face the same Problem , to fix this you have to give every app want access external SD root access and the problem that you Can not do that for apps that don't ask for root like torrents apps

Not able to write on SD card on RR 6.0.1

I flashed RR 6.0.1 rom recently but i am not able to write on SD card. Not any app used sd card as its download directry . I tried to make backup of apps using titanium backup and it also fails . I cannot copy files from internal storage to sd card too. Btw i have not made my sd card as internal storage.
Sounds like you sd card gave up, can you do anything with it on any other devices?
ofcourse . I can acccess it using pc and on mobile too using file explorer but i cannot copy any file into it . I cannot change download directry of any apps to SD card . It was working fine on lolipop . This issue happens after flashing RR 6.0.1
Yes, but can you copy files to it with another device, or just view the contents?
I can copy files to another device and view contents too but i cannot set the download directory to SD card. For example, i want titanium backup to create backup of apps on my SD card but its not letting me do it . I changed backup folder location to SD card too but still getting the issue ! Same with other apps. I just flashed cm13 and ts giving the same error. I think there is some issue with MM . I wasn't facing this in Lollipop
I'm not sure if I should be linking to another Android forum, but http://forums.androidcentral.com/ge...rd-mounted-read-only-can-t-write-sd-card.html
As cards turning read-only is sometimes the sign of a dying card, take a back-up of everything on the card, just to be safe.
NO, this is not my case . My SD card is not broken as i have downgraded back to stock lollipop and viola SD card is back to normal . Now i can write on Sd card on my phone
