No, does not mention anything about needing root so its a normal program just like team viewer but for android devices tablet or phone. Made to connect tablet to tablet etc....

Another one that works pretty good and can be obtained for free can be found At Pandaapp under android software downloads (they also make versions for Win Mobile and iphone ... it allows syncing, remote control, etc... only catch is its natively in Chinese, but you can simply click the first menu on the top left and switch it to english.
Hi everyone!
Sometimes i become tired of swypying for long, and error prone, periods of time and i day-dream about chatting in whatsapp using a physicall keyboard. My big question is: is there any app that allows for remote controlling of my i9003 from my computer? (I would like to see my android screen on my computer and control the phone remotely with mouse and keyboard). I tried installing TeamViewer Quick Support but it does not seem to be working completely ok. Maybe you can suggest another apps and point me in the right direction...
Thanks in advance!
BTW: I´m on stock DDLF2 with BCK (r14fix).

Thanks. I might try that after trying remote control with Airdroid...
I know and use AirDroid and TeamViewer QuickSupport
I used droid VNC server and it works fine.
Here the How To
PS: while typing, look at your phone screen if the preview on your computer lags, all the sent inputs are almost instant.
EDIT:
I guess TeamViewer QuickSupport is pretty much the same. AirDroid won't allow you to use Android apps if I remember correctly, so no Whatsapp with it.
Our new app, VMLite VNC Server, will definitely work fro you:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vmlite.vncserver&hl=en
is this really possible ?
yes, I am sure that VMLite VNC Server will work.

Hi,
I am looking to remote into my phone to do some typing. I have a camera program & I need to enter all the info on the phone.
I tried airdroid but it wont let me actually see the screen. Is there any way to enter data using a windows PC into the GSiII?
Thanks,
Rich

Try hooking a keyboard right to your phone. I saw it was a feature you can hook up a mouse as well. Not at the same time though
I personally like airdroid.
I have airdroid but I dont see how I can use my PC to control my android phone. Teamviewer looks like it only has an android controling a pc.

I've never even heard of this being done. You can control your PC with your phone via TeamViewer or Splashtop but not the other way around as far as I know.
I would just plug a USB keyboard to your phone if you really needed to type stuff out.

The thing is that this forum is in spanish only, and that the link points to a chinese page.... so I thought I'd stick it here !!!

Hi!
To help someone in my family, i need to disable access to Internet for specific apps. For example, access to WhatsApp but not to any web browser (or only for selected websites).
This person had an iPhone before and this was very easy to do on it
I already tested Open Time Limit but this seems to be too much easy to disable.
Do you know any app (working rootless if possible) or any custom rom that would allow that?
EDIT: And if the app is open source, thats even better!
A huge thank if you can help me
You can use ScreenTime.
There you can also set Timers.
and you can Block permanently apps like Settings.

That looks nice, will try !
Do you know any open source alternative ? The main reason this family member is not buying an iPhone again is about privacy (sry didnt mention it)

Okay, let's sum it up. I need :
- an open source app (unfortunately Screen Time is closed-source) on Android
- or a custom rom (open source too) with built-in parental control

Heimdall looks interesting! Not open source but not using Internet (so i will be able to disable Internet access in the options) so it looks interesting
About Gapps, he wants his phone to run without Google so no gapps (would be too easy )
okay let me know if this works
not ready yet, but soon there will be an open source alternative, keep an eye on its release:
ActivityWatch - Apps on Google Play
Track how you spend your time on your devices.

Opensource apps could be found at some repositories
You can also use netguard thats free on fdroid and block internet access to specific applications while letting the others work.
