Shift Work Schedule is a free calendar and work shift schedule widget. This app features a simple yet elegant calendar and widget that you can use to show your work shift pattern.
Shift Work Schedule offers its own list of work shift patterns that you can immediately use. If, in case, your work shift doesn’t fall on any of those patterns, you can set a custom shift pattern and use it instead of the pre-loaded shift work patterns.
The app will automatically highlight all corresponding days of your work week based on the day you select, so you can see if you are working or not on a specific date and plan your holidays, trips or whatever you want to plan.
Note: once you selected your shift pattern, you can not edit separate days (like overtime).
The app also has a nice search feature that lets you check if you’re supposed to be working a particular day and it lets you customize its appearance down to the background.
The app offers a sleek, translucent calendar widget, even if you do not work shifts, you might use it as simple calendar Widget on your main screen or lock screen( starting from 4.2 android version).
Settings of Shift Work Schedule –
* Alarm clock for shifts
* Up to 5 users
* Resizable Widget (lockscreen widget from android 4.2)
* First day of week, Number of week
* Сustom patterns
* 22 Shift Paterns
* Background picture change from user gallery
For now app does not sync with Google calendars, and it is not wage calculator, all it does is shows you work shifts pattern in a nice way
If you have any suggestions or questions,or you do not understand how to make your custom pattern, or you want to correct or add translation for this app, send me an email please - [email protected]

As you probably would have guess, inspired by clockr, here comes the calendr widget, your minimalistic calendar event widget.
How minimalistic?
Follows the style of clockr, only needed information is shown. It shows the upcoming events within 1 week range, and most importantly, it only shows 1 event.
FAQ
Can you make tapping the widget open the detail of the event?
I tried, trust me. But somehow, the event detail view open with incorrect information. If anybody knows how android properly handle calendar intents, do tell me please!
How much resource does the widget use?
No polling is done. The widget now hooks onto Android Calendar to detect changes to it. 1 widget refresh update is done per day in the case where no changes in the Android Calendar is detected.

I like it. I plan on using it in my next screenshot on colormeandroid =D I already wrote an article about it http://bit.ly/eilcO2
Great work, great idea. I've wanted a calendar widget that only displays one event for ages!
One thing I've noticed is that it only displays one category, not all of them, or my shared calendars? Am I overlooking something?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
You just filled a void I have tried to fill for the past year and a half. I like to have a minimum homescreen and could never find a calendar to fit into the space I wanted it to. But now I have this space filled. Thank you. You should put in the Market so we know when you update. But I suppose you want to do more alpha testing. Added this thread to favs.

Oh. Awesome!
Heh. Apparently I accidentally left the bug for the multi calendar. Will fix it in next version.
Not in market yet because I haven't polished it enough.
Stay tuned! Hope you guys enjoyed it.

So that Bug will fix the multi calendars thing?
This really is fantastic - great work fella - really chuffed - it also fills a void for me too.
Will there be a font size option etc?
When will the next version drop?
Thanks so much again - seriously chuffed about your app and will be spreading the word too! x
suggestions:
text size options...
N° of events displayed....
Doesn't work on HTC Wildfire.
More customizations would be available later on. Cut the alpha some slack.
@Tsjoklat
your description doesn't help me. perhaps you want to provide a more detailed description? like... Android Version... etc.
Very Good!
But in french, it will be the must!
Can I help you for french transaltion?
thanks
I installed Calendr on my N1. I am stock, not rooted. As soon as I put the widget on my homescreen, and tried to open my6 sense, my phone froze. I had to do a battery pull. It was probably my fault but I thought you might be interested to know what happened. (I use ADWlauncher, by the way) I do really like the way the widget looks though.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Polling every 30mins? That is bad practice in Android! You'd better subscribe to calendar events using a Content Provider with your widget app and be notified of changes instantly.
@Babydoll25 thanks for the report.
@j0bro
im honestly new to this content provider and this is a whipped up alpha. but thanks for the pointer, i didn't know you can subscribe to the content provider. the only issue now is that, now, i need to create service for the app. hopefully it doesnt use much RAM.
Great widget!
I'd like the ability to customize some options, like text colour, font and number of events (or at least some kind of indicator showing there are multiple upcoming events?)
Been waiting for something like this. Thanks for creating it!
I love the concept. I get the widget on my homescreen, but no letters, no text. A bit too minimalistic. Am I missing something?
cool design this can very useful for me thanks. as i always forgets appointments

I still don't receive birthdays notifications, and your updates unfortunately did not fix it. As you suggested, I verified the settings and checked the pie icon: everythings seems to be ok, but I don't receive notifications for birthdays. Instead, the notifications are shown for Google tasks.

Sent from ThePureHeart's I9300 Boss Edition
Looks like a pretty nice start, although I don't like an app hiding my status bar.
The plus buttons for income and expense look the same. I think in the current UI expense should have the right part of the + red and income should have the left part red, to differentaite them.
Also, kinda crashes when turning my phone to the side, screen keeps going on and off with the blue-ish tutorial circle.
Also, actually crashes when makingadvanced reports

Oh, i dont know that Holo apps execute without menu button. You can use sliding menu to show its options but some functions like change user or input transactions from template cant be opened without menu button.
All Holo apps have the 3 dot overflow button if your device doesn't have menu.

A simple countdown widget to never miss an important meeting, birthday, vacation or similar.
You can add more than one event at the same time of course!
In this free version you can't change the text color, background color or the picture!
How to start the widget?
Long press home to add the 3-2-1 Countdown Widget.
Just enter a date, time and event descripttion and click on top right apply button.
You can choose the text and background color. A personal note could be applied by choosing a picture for example a sun for a vacation countdown.
The widget shows the count of days until the event is reached and notifies you with a vibration, sound and led if you want (for more configuration see my other app LEDBlinker https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ledblinker)

Android smartphones allow you to customize nearly everything to fit individual needs and preferences. This includes the lock screen too. Lock screen apps offer an easy way to personalize your Android phone or tablet.
1. Echo Notification Lockscreen
Google Play Store Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.doublelabs.androscreen.echo&hl=en
If you're looking for a lightweight app that provides all the essentials right from the get-go, then Echo Notification Lockscreen will likely float your boat. The app displays messages, missed calls and other types of notifications straight from the lock screen, which you can then open by tapping, or dismiss by swiping to the left. Two cool things about the app: you get a camera shortcut to snap some quick photos and it won’t suck your battery dry either. And Echo Notification is also free!
Echo Notification Lockscreen provides you with messages and missed calls on your lock screen.
2. Cover - the smart lock screen
Google Play Store Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coverscreen.cover&hl=en
Cover brings context-based information to the lock screen, meaning the right content and settings at the right time. This is reminiscent of Google Now and for the most part works quite similarly. By entering your home address and workplace, the lock screen will know when to switch between private and work mode. Depending on the situation, it shows matching apps as shortcuts. This works because the launcher is capable of learning and adapts to particular usage patterns. In addition to being able to automatically switch between settings and shortcuts, Cover also offers simplified access to recently used apps by swiping downwards from the top screen border.
Cover is in open beta phase and can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store. We already tested the lock screen two months ago and found that even then it made a very good and well-made impression.
Cover offers context-based apps on your Android lock screen to match your habits.
3. Ubuntu Lockscreen
Google Play Store Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rotaryheart.ubuntu.lock.screen&hl=en
There had been talks about a mobile operating system from Ubuntu called Ubuntu Touch, but it never really caught on. If you still want at least a tiny hint of Ubuntu on your smartphone, you can install the Ubuntu Lockscreen. It has a ring menu that will display notifications, and by swiping from top to bottom, you’ll see date, time and battery status.
Swiping from right to left presents shortcuts to apps which can be set up by the user individually beforehand. On request, a music player can be displayed on the lock screen, since the security options are currently only a password or PIN. So, even when swiping from left to right, the display will remain unlocked. The Ubuntu Lockscreen can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and is free.
Get a taste of Ubuntu with Ubuntu Lock Screen.
4. UnlockYourBrain - vocabulary and math training
Google Play Store Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.unlockyourbrain&hl=en
On average, we’ll look at our smartphones about 80 times a day. Wouldn’t it make sense to combine these almost subconscious compulsions with something meaningful? UnlockYourBrain is a lockscreen alternative made to keep your brain fit by having you solve math problems and do some vocabulary training.
The vocabulary or math exercises loaded onto the lock screen can naturally be skipped in case you get stumped. The potential found in this lock screen is great though. Repetition is the mother of retention and by constantly viewing vocabulary and calculation methods, this will slowly but surely start to sink in, keeping your brain from turning into mush.
UnlockYourBrain is free and ad-supported, available in the Google Play Store. The premium version can be bought as in-app purchases in various packages.
UnlockYourBrain makes you smarter all while unlocking your phone.
5. DashClock widget
Google Play Store Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.nurik.roman.dashclock&hl=en
The easiest and most popular way to set up a lock screen is with the use of widgets. One of the most popular in this genre is DashClock Widget because it not only supports extensions but is also be extensively customizable. The widget, which is displayed next to the clock, can be a calendar, appointments, unread messages or when using supported apps, the weather for example.
