My device is unlocked, rooted, and have CWM 6.0.5.4 installed. I flashed a few different ROMs and everything worked OK, untill, after a few different ROMs the phone just booted up and got stuck on the Welcome screen. So, there I can only choose a language and only place emergency call... Also, the phone connects to my network with good signal... What did I do wrong?
Factory reset / wipe data does not help. Also, i can connect to phone with ADB tools (on WIN 8), but cannot connect with Odin (tried a few different versions of Odin).
It's not an SIM card error, it works fine in another phone.
Hi,
You can review this tutorial on returning to stock, and see if you can connect after. If not, Sounds like a sim card, hardware or carrier issue.
> Legacy & Low Activity Devices > Samsung Galaxy Mini > Galaxy Mini General > [TUT]Official Gingerbread 2.3.6 05.05.2012 GalaxyMini s5570~ODIN~UPDATED
If you have trouble with Odin after following the guide step by step, you will need to register on XDA and ask about your issue in the thread.
Good luck!

I had been running cwm on my i7337m s4 and decided to change to twrp because I was having problems flashing cm11
twrp did not work to flash cm11 either so i decided to go back to cwm using the app. I tried to boot into cwm recovery using the app but each time it went back to twrp recovery. So I thought I could use mobile odin pro to flash the cwm .tar file. When i tried to flash cwm using mobile odin my phone soft bricked. I think it's a soft brick at least, I can get into download (odin) mode but not into any recovery mode. I know how to fix a soft brick using pc odin but for some reason my s4 will not connect to my pc. I don't believe it is a driver issue as I have other s4's and s3's that will connect. I use the same cord and same usb port but have tried changing them.
Any advice is appreciated
Edit~
I tried connecting to another computer and still nothing. Both computers recognize my other s4 and s3

I attempted to root my SGH-I747. I used the towelroot one click root tool. After I successfully rooted (checked with SUPER SU, I believe), I used ROM Manager to create a backup. I then followed guidingtech.com's guide to flashing custom ROMs to flash the FlashingDroid ROM on to my phone. After the installation appeared to finish, my phone promptly turned off. I attempted to turn it back on, nothing happened. I attempted to load in to recovery mode, nothing. I attempted to boot in to download mode, once again nothing. I plugged it in to my computer via USB, heard the device connect sound, and then the "triple bonk" error sound.
After speaking with some of my more tech savvy friends, they and I think it is a hard brick, but they suggested I come here for more possible help.
What do you think?
Hi,
Well, I'd normally recommend returning to stock when a device is mucked up, but your first issue is getting it turned on...

Hey everyone, I'm using a GT-P5100 (3G + Wifi) O2 UK rooted tablet and for the last month it has been broken. It started rebooting itself randomly every now and then, and then suddenly it wouldn't even boot up for 15 seconds before it would restart itself again.
I am able to get into safe mode and I can get into the boot options, but when I factory reset it does nothing, I've tried from the boot menu, from safe-mode options and even from the dial up code.
I tried to connect my tablet to my PC as a media device and format it but that didn't work either; I can't connect it as a disk then format it that way because they took out 'mass storage mode' on this firmware.
I then tried to flash a stock ROM in Odin but every time I tried it would fail until I used Odin.v1.3, but guess what, it rebooted itself and my entire tablet is still exactly the same.
(the option was on AP ram in v1.3 not AP nand I don't know if that makes a difference.)
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it so much. I have been trying for weeks to fix this and I just don't know what to do anymore, I tried on another forum but nobody answered me.
Hi,
This would be best posted in your device section so the experts who own your device can help. I will request this be moved to here,

Make sure kies is not running to use Odin. End all kies processes in your task manager on the pc.
Good luck!
Thank you very much I have posted it there instead ^^

My sim card wasnt working and to fix that i decided to format my phone by flashing Stock ROM using Odin [I had root], running on Cyanogenmod. While doing so, it was taking a hell lot of time and I didnt know what to do, so i pulled the cable and restarted the phone and this message came on: "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies & try again."
So i did that using kies, followed the procedure..downloaded the firmware to the computer, blah blah, but while "transferring that to the mobile phone" procedure, it got stuck at 0% and for hours it wont move!!
I tried using Odin again, but it just dont work!!
Please help me!!..I cant even go to my phone now..my (Home + Power button + Volume down) is accessible, but not recovery.
Hi,
Asking here in this help thread in your device section would be best,
> Samsung Galaxy S III I9300, I9305 > Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [HELP THREAD] Galaxy S3 Ask any question
A couple ideas too.... Try a different version of Odin. Also, Odin usually fails if Kies is running. End all kies processes in the task manager on the pc. Try a different cable and USB port on your PC. And forget kies, it won't work if your rooted or are not completely stock.
Again, for more help, ask in the thread I linked above.
Good luck!

Hi thanks for reading not sure if this is the correct place to post. I'm rather lost on my options and fear that I've essentially totaled my phone.
USB isn't recognized(yes I've updated drivers and confirmed my cord allows data transfer and tried with usb debugging on and off), this is a hand-me-down phone I received rooted, attempted to apply Cyanomod (successful but got the No SIM issue even though I could call and receive texts no data though) proceeded to follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831898
However after installing the latest modem my phone went into soft brick - boot looping.
I then decided to wipe Cache - D.Cache - system - Data. After doing this over and over I accidentally wiped internal data as well (fixed this issue by buying a micro SD card today) So now I got all my .zips and roms back where I can still flash.
Still in a boot loop and have read that maybe my recovery (TWRP) could be the cause of this, seeing how I've basically wiped everything multiple times to try and get to the bottom of this.
Is there anyway I can use the Command Terminal IN TWRP to flash a newer version of TWRP ( because I had not used the latest TWRP )
If so can you please give me the command line in which I could use the .img of twrp-3.0.2-0-d2att.img and when going into the Command Terminal at what level should I select?
I really can NOT afford another phone atm and I'm very gracious for any help. I've watched and read many useless videos/articles over the last few days and can't seem to find a video that would involve not using a PC to use Odin.
P.S. - I'm also prepared to go back to stock everything if that's what's called for atm but first this boot loop is the issue. Thanks in advance.
