z3 Root ( kernel / device is not supported ) - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone,
I'm currently running stock (Build number: 23.0.1.A.5.7.7) (Model number: D6603) (Android 4.4.4) and have backed up TA and have followed every step of the tutorial on rooting on locked bootloader but when I click 'Install' on giefroot_v2 this is what I get, I'm very new to this so any help would be appreciated thankyou.

Since you're on the wrong firmware you can't have followed the tutorial. Look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58424877&postcount=1110

SE Xperia Pro MK16i Cyanogen Mod 9

Hey there!
Yesterday I rooted my SE Xperia Pro MK16i according to the tutorial mentioned here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1865796
Now I have a root access but my kernel/rom doesn't support overclocking. Some data of my phone:
Android Version: 4.0.4
Baseband-Version: 8x55A-AAAABQOAZM-203028G-77
Kernel-Version: 2.6.32.9-perf
Build: 4.1.B.0.587
Is it possible to install a custom ROM like Cyanogen Mod 9 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445819 on my phone? What do I have to pay attention for?`
Thanks for your replies
How did you manage to root?

This is not an answer to your question. (Sorry about that) In fact, I wanted to ask you a question. I have the same mobile with the same kernel build but I couldn't manage to root. I get stuck when I have to root using DoomLord's method. I am able to flash the 562 kernel but, my phone doesn't display anything after that. (The instructions say its normal as there is a kernel mismatch) but the batch file is not able to root as after flashing the "USB debugging" and "Unknown sources" is turned off by default. And I can't turn it on as my screen won't display anything. Any suggestions?

It is possible, you have to upgrade to ICS first, or if you like GB you can install Cyanogen Mod 7.

I've tried KingRoot, KingoRoot, Framaroot...I tried connecting with ADB (this slapped me right in the face as I couldn't find the device...so now I'm doing a clean install of the SDK in hopes I may have some possible way to Terminal into the tablet and modify config files)
Any help is appreciated! If I'm literally SOL, please just tell me - not ideal, but it would be great to know. Thanks!

Unfortunately there is nothing about rooting your exact device/model on xda.
So you will have to try other generic/universal rooting methods, such as:
How to Root Any Device
How To Root Any Android Device by urhacked
Root any Android device (without pc n in one click) by Ashutoshrox
[UNIVERSAL GUIDE] Root Any Android Device Manually ! by N'ayam Amarsh'e
How to root any android device ( mobile/tablets ) by srikar nvvs
How to Root Your Android
...
Hopefully there is one that will work to root your device too.
Good luck !
