I deleted my contact storage apk iny android. My device is rooted.. without contact storage no contact show , What can I do? Thanks in advance
Does your phone have the option to show contacts even in the call app? Because most phones do. If not then re download the contacts apk, install it and make it a system app again. Hope I helped.

Hi,
When today, I just realised that some of the apps I installed onto my SD card (Set apps to automatically install to SD via Applications in settings) were randomly doubled.. But when I check in the installtions, it only shows it installed once.. What's wrong here? I don't want to Nandroid restore because I just added a number of contacts to my phone and I would lose them if I restore?
Also, how do I copy contacts from my phone to my SIM Card without duplicating the ones in the SIM?

What launcher you use, they is an option to choose for restart launcher if you are using following launcher:
LauncherPro
ADW.Launcher
Zeam
Another way is goto settings -> Applications --> Manage applications and then select the launcher you use and choose Force Close.
I use the default launcher
Dw, got it but do i need to do it everytime i reboot?
When I had this problem with CM6, wiping the cache and dalvik cache in recovery did the trick.
First thing I tried. UNfortunately did not work
Yeah, I've noticed this before... something to do with the late load of SD apps... killing the launcher will resolve this... and I also noticed that after rebooting, I leave the phone for about 10-15 seconds on the lockscreen before unlocking... kinda a delay to allow all apps to load... seems to work for me!!

Unless you disabled it, your contacts are backed up to your google/gmail account and automatically restored from there if they "go missing" on your phone. Try logging into www.gmail.com with the same account you use on your phone and goto contacts or my contacts. Should be exactly what you have on your phone.
I put the KING 3D ROM v2.3 on my phone. (LG 03D)
I followed the instructions but i didn't saw that the backup showed an error.
So i just continued...
Now i lost everything! (apps, massages, contacts...)
For the apps and massages i don't care. But i need my contacts.
I didn't sync my contacts with gmail, did that means that my contacts are lost?
Is there a way to recovery my contacts like files on a computer?
I looked the memory from the phone and the SDCARD memory didn't format...
Are maybe the contacts hide in here?
Can someone help me? PLEASE?
P.S. Sorry for my bad English!!!

Files
For me, Trubackup scores higher because it backsup to dropbox rather than my SD, plus it lets me select the files I want to store. It has a 30 Day Trial free on googleplay, give it a whirl. Go to google play & search for turbackup and start using
Restoring problem and root.
So when i was on my galaxy s duos my device was rooted, i made some backups to my sd card, when i upgraded to the galaxy grand duos, i couldnt seem to restore anything from that sd card so then i decided to root it, now im having a problem that when i open the app, first off it doesnt ask for su permission, AND i still cant restore anything back from my sd card to the grand, im regretting using this app so much.. please if someone has a solution to this, share it with me.
I think Android Manager will meet your need. It is a management tool that can transfer files between computer and Android phone. You just need to launch it in you computer, and then connect your phone to computer. It will export files from MAC to Android and import files from Android to MAC. Just have a try! It will solve your problem.
This same app thread is available on XDA since 2013
