Good morning, I've been trying to get Boot animations to work on my Samsung Note 3 but with no success. ...I was able to get animation when shutting down but not rebooting up. Then last nite something happened and I can't change the permissions on the .qmg files.??? I even tried files that I had previously changed and they refused permission??
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
John Spence

Help me please! My Galaxy GT S7392 when it comes to boot, it keeps reapeting the same boot animation and doesnt boot!!!
Now, i'm gonna tell you what i did befor this problem and i thinks is the cause
I was going to do a root, just a root because i wanted to unistall some problems and i did root on another galaxy tablet it went well so i felt confident about this even tho i was about to lost my galaxy GT S7392 warranty (and i think i just did lost omg)
then it wen everything well, installed the binary, superuser, all fine at the first time. Then i check if its really rooted and the RootChecker says it isnt rooted. So... I repeated the whole progress, and i think is in this moment i make the mistake.
I installed the binary again and then i was going to the recovery mode after that and then... I couldnt went there in time and i saw the boot animation taking FOREVER! I decided to search for a solution, but i couldnt found anything!
Thanks for the help!
PS : No, i dont have a Customized ROM. Yes, i tried to do a Factory Reset by Recovery Mode when i could went there and did a Cache Wipe, restarted, and the boot stays the same. No, no one warned me about some kind of recovery.
Sorry for my bad english

Hi, I've never posted on this forum before so I apologize if this is in the wrong place or is a bit vauge. So here goes: I recently rooted an Acer Liquid Z4 using Root Master Su. I then downloaded ROM Toolbox and proceeded to use all the functions (Terminal, Boot Animations, Etc). Then i tried using Font Installer, I picked a standard font file (.TTF) it warned me that I should have a Nandroid backup (I didn't ) but I ignored the dialog it then proceeded to install the file and claimed it was succesful. I rebooted and it did the standard ACER Explore Beyond Limits screen and did the little carrier logo animation and then... nothing... It hung there and froze on the carrier logo. I am able to access recovery, Factory Mode and Fastboot but factory resets do not affect anything. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance, Dylan

I made an account to solve my problem here, therefore you guys would do me a HUGE favor if you solve my problem here..
I have a GT-I9505 that I bought 2 years ago and flashed the Lollipop 5.0.1 ROM via odin about a month ago, a few days later I rooted my phone via Kingo ROOT and everything was working fine but my date & time keeps changing to February 2014.
Two days ago I tried booting into Recovery Mode for the first time after rooting and I see that Android laying down with a red caution sign, I clicked on "reboot system now" and that's when my problem started. (it's not a custom recovery like TWRP, just the regular one)
As soon as I rebooted my phone I get a BLANK SCREEN with "Unfortunately, ........... has stopped", more like it was like this for all of my apps. I couldn't find a way to solve this but then I resorted to extracting my files and then factory resetting my phone, unfortunately I couldn't find a solution to access my phone until a miracle happened and made my phone working again. Everything went well till today when I tried rebooting into recovery mode but the SAME exact problem happened, what to do here? I have no problem of resetting my phone again but I don't want the same problem again.

I recently bought a NeuTab N9 Tablet from amazon for about 60 bucks. As soon as it came in the mail I proceeded to tweak it with custom launchers, icon packs, and rooting it. I downloaded PimpMyRom in order to increase the resolution as the tablet is Chinese made, very cheap and generic, which meant the resolution was horrible. After i did that it started slowing down until I decided to reboot it and now it is stuck in the NeuTab logo splash screen. It turns on, flickers once or twice and remains that way. I am able to get it into the stock recovery mode. I tried clearing the cache and resetting it completely. My next step was to flash a custom Rom but i am unable to find any online due to it being an obscure and unknown brand.
Before it got bricked it was running stock 4.2 Jellybean, rooted with Impactor. I'm not sure about the kernel though. Any help is appreciated. If this thread is not in the correct place i apologize, I'm new.

Hello,
I have managed to successfully root and install cyanogenmod 13 onto my Galaxy Note 3.
I have been trying to do the same on my partners Galaxy S5 SM-G901F - It currently has Lollipop on it.
I connect the S5 via Odin and download mode, Select TWRP, Apply it to the phone, Odin says its passed. The phone will reboot, then load back up to the normal lock screen as if nothing has happened. Turning the phone off then rebooting in recovery mode just gives the stock recovery.
I have read online that there is a line of code that runs on bootup on the phone that checks the recovery.img file and replaces it if it has been tinkered with. When I did my Note3 I found a script that somebody had made to stop a Note3 from doing this. I cannot find the equivilent though for the S5.
Could anyone please advise, provide a solution etc? A bit stumped now.
Many thanks
Neil
