Roaming usually depends on the SIM card not from the region/country you are ATM.
If your phone is SIM unlocked, you may get a local SIM card/mobile contract or pre-paid card and use it in Channai without roaming.
I found another user asking the same as you, here: lg g2 f320l need help.
So you know at least that you are not alone.

Hello,
I just rooted my LG Optimus G to install Xposed, but now it won't ask for the SIM PIN/ connect to the network.
I rooted the phone with towelroot
Yesterday, before rooting the phone, I restarted it and it wouldn't connect to networks too, but after enabling/disabling airplane mode it started working again.
I already restarted the phone 3x and enabled/disabled airplane mode and it still doesn't connect.
What should I do?

I removed the SIM Card and put it back in, still not working.

I have bought an lg d802 . I had it unlocked but not it registers on network but no calls txs internet etc
when i go on call setting is displays network or sim card error i have changed sim and also network nothing seems to help

I recently had to update my lg g2 to lollipop, now I can't receive or send mms, call provider AT&T they sent new setting but didn't work , can someone help please

Sounds like the MMS APN is still messed up. Can check it under settings, More mobile networks, Access point names (path can vary by device). Then compare to what AT&T lists on their website.

I have purchased a verizon LG g2 unlocked and upgraded it to lollipop recently via assistance from an XDA thread. After upgrading, it turns out i can't activate or find a workaround to use advanced calling which includes 4g and 3g HSPA+ connection. Is there any custom ROM or any workaround that unlocks the ADVANCED CALLING feature? Any help would be much appreciated.

hello this is my first post, im from Argentina, i need some help with an issue, i buy a used lg g2 d806 (argentina model) unlocked it and it works great...laer i decide to install cloudy and then 3g and 4g never connect! only have 2g, tried back to stock, same issue, tried kitkat rom...same issue...tried with a d802 qcn file in qpst and put my imei in the options...same issue...
The weird thing is this....
I tell my friend who have the same phone to backup his EFS with TWRP and bring it to me so i can flash it on my device of course changing to mi imei in qpst before...and IT WORKS BUT ONLY LIKE 30 MIN...I HAVE 3G AND 4G AND SUDDENLY BANG....2G AND EDGE...NO MORE CONNECTION TO 3G, NO MORE 4G..PLEASE HELP!!!
